The next update won't I'm afraid - it will happen at some point, but refining and improving the gameplay is my main priority at present. This update will give you two databases to choose from when starting a new game (start of season data and january transfer window data) and also fix and tweak a few items in the game .... and add in a few helpful new features which I'll announce once I'm fully confident the updates cleared all hurdles and heading for release (its in QA presently). You can choose to start using the January transfer deadline database (from the start of the season) if you want to - but we've retained the original start of season data for people who'd prefer to play using that. This allows people to either play using their clubs current squad or alternatively if say their club has sold their favourite player during the season (not looking at any Newcastle fans ) they might prefer to start using the squad from the start of the season. Hmmm, not sure whats up there at all - you aren't trying something silly like trying to sub a player who's been sent off? Captain selection and Manager interaction would be good too. Son being a guaranteed great player would be nice..... instead of the rubbish one's I seem to be getting. Also a little thing - The teams that offer loan deals for my players always (litterally always) start with an a or a b. ie Aldershot, Brigton, Bournemouth, etc. It happens too much to be a coincidence, maybe the others are interested but don't fit on the screen and so never make an offer? Thats a huge undertaking I'm afraid as it requires serious reworking of the game infrastructure to support multiple players instead of just one in all areas (so where presently we only store one shortlist because there is just one manager we now need to store 2 and have a setting to indicate which manager/device the request is coming from etc. - repeat for all aspects of the game). But I only have one pet-peeve with the game: Can we get an option for salaries to be shown as yearly? But it's true, it's really useless to compete against SI for this. Cranminho Posted March 15, 2011 Share Posted March 15, 2011 Hi David, thanks for the reply. i have now played another 2 seasons and won all 4 trophies on offer in each season. i am winning my league with twice as many points as second place. i apply for every job that becomes available and haven't been offered one yet. my manager points are surprisingly low. i played another game and managed Stoke, who i took to european glory once and my manager ranking was in the top 10. i realise that the UCL is more competitive that the Asian Champions League, but the set up is very restrictive if you start a career it Australia. basically it looks like you can never get out of the A-League. is there any way you can tweek the system to make it more likely that a smaller european team will give a very successful A-league manager a chance? I have been trying to sell 3 players that are all valued at 11.25mil which seems to be the most my players can be valued at even though I am winning the champions league and have world player of years playing in my squad but te value just doesn't change. I have even offered these players out at £0 and I still get no offers from no one and I have been trying sell one of them for 3 seasons. And even demoted them to the reserves. What am I doing wrong? Marc has stated that he would like to add new leagues to the game in the future. But it is unlikely that there will be any added in an update. I start in Germany league borussia dortmund since they have very good talent ie Sahin, Kagawa, Gotze etc. I then select england and spain and lol i click Arsenal and can't find Jack Wilshere. But I found Ryo Miyaichi who Arsenal signed recently whos on loan at Feyanoord. Even Ramseys on it. Before the update I found Jack Wilshere and nothing of Ryo. This is to do with how the database is generated - simply put on handheld devices there is a very finite limit to the number of players available in the game; we've increased this in the February database update by 10% but it still means that a few players will be absent from clubs which are running in secondary leagues. Where possible we've tried hard to ensure that none which are missing are critical but obviously at the largest clubs they might be players you have still heard of. This requires licencing and all sorts - I'd love the MLS to be in (not least because I live in Florida), but its not something I expect to happen in the short term. Nardz Posted March 21, 2011 Share Posted March 21, 2011 there are a few things that have understandably been taken out to reduce database size (that's my theory anyway) but with the iphones being available in 32 gb now, it might not be so much of an issue for some. i'd love to have the option to re-enable some of these features. a couple of things i'm missing that i'd love to enable: club records as others have said - more detailed finances more staff functionality - i dont know whether i should trust my assistant or not? reserves - i see the team, but is there a league? compare players - i REALLY REALLY REALLY miss this feature. When I select "goto match" and I can choose my line-up, I really really want to be able to set my team instructions at this point (e.g. Balanced, pressing etc) but instead I have to start the match and then change them. Also, once the game has started I want to see individual player full details by swiping left to right to see preferred positions etc. Both of these oversights are deal-breakers for me and is putting me off. Yeah I've been doing it in the tactics menu so far but mid-game I can't remember if Mulley likes to be a deep lying midfielder or ball-winning one when I bring him on for example. Thanks for considering it in a further update. EDIT: By the way, if you're able to make the game last unlimited seasons then you'd be the coolest of the cool!
