retrodude09
Yeah the festival line ups in general were pretty disappointing which is a shame. I had the chance to see Biffy this year but I couldn't get back from uni which is annoying. Oh well, 6 weeks in California will do me.
SRL88
I saw Biffy at Sonisphere in 2011 and they were probably one of the best bands I have seen live. If came off the back of all the X-Factor crap they were getting and they came out and blew everyone away with how good they were.
RTHerringbone
I've not seen as much live music as I'd like, but my favourite gig for the music and atmosphere was The Black Keys at the Astoria a few years ago. It was back before the band went a bit soft, and was not long before The Astoria was closed. Cracking night.
SRL88
Would absolutely love to the Foo Fighters. I would probably pay silly money for that.
retrodude09
My favourite 'gig' is Coldplay last year at the Etihad, the atmosphere was incredibly, such good fun. But yeah, I'd love to see Foo Fighters and Kings of Leon!
RTHerringbone
I saw the Foos at Wembley and they were incredible. Saw Kings Of Leon at Wembley Arena about five years ago and they were also very good, shame their music is so limp now.
SRL88
Never been a fan of Kings of Leon. A bit to indie for me.

retrodude09
I like Eminem, not to the extent where I have all his albums or I'll go out of my way to listen to him but I have a couple of albums and very rarely turn him off. He's very, very good at what he does. ------- Is there a way to like 'sticky' threads? You know where you get notifications of new posts etc?

SRL88
I went through a phase of listening to Linkin Park when I was in school. I wouldn't say I like them now, but if they were at a festival I would happily see them.

I'm the same, I had a phase of listening to them and now not so much although like you, if they come on I don't have a problem. What are people up to over the week-end anyway? Absolutely nothing at the moment. My parents have more of a social life than me this weekend although I'm considering going to the dogs but it's just the cost of it all putting me off. Cleon
I was a regular visitor to the dogs when I worked for William Hill because I got free tickets every 2-3 weeks . When I worked at Napoleons Casino, we used to get free entry into the dog track because it was the same company. So used to go and watch the dogs and a bit of speedway I'm just getting ready to go out in the hope the weather gets a bit better by the time we leave. We was going out for the day to park or something but not sure exactly where we are going now though. I might go to Tynemouth market again and see what books I can get though. SRL88
How about you? Any plans? Need to nip to Pets at Home this morning to get a few things for the cats, and then I think me & the mrs are going to go to one of our locals this afternoon, have a few drinks and play some pool. My Mam & Dad have the kids all week-end so we are taking advantage of that. I'm just getting ready to go out in the hope the weather gets a bit better by the time we leave. How is the mini-Cleon otherwise known as Lily? She is the little devil and makes my life hell, it's fantastic. She's just starting to talk more regular and knows quite a few words now. I want to see what accent she ends up with though because whatever it is will be ****ed up:D Wanted to take her to park and go for a picnic though via a trip to Krispy Kreme but its been raining in last 2 hours here. MichaelBrown
Such awful weather here today . Threw it down in Canberra as well. Strangely enough, it's not exceptionally cold at night though. :S Weird. I went through a phase of listening to Linkin Park when I was in school. I wouldn't say I like them now, but if they were at a festival I would happily see them. They were good live. I missed a couple of songs because I wanted to get slightly close to the front for Blink and Paramore. Was well worth it in the end, a mate was selling a ticket for $50 when they were originally $200 IIRC. I spent $180 including the bus there and the hostel. Off music, have you watched any football out here? I've not managed to get to a game. I'm scared that the quality will scar me. One thing I miss about home. Just got my tickets for the British Lions though, syked.

You wont see any games in Canberra though as they dont have a football team based there as far as i know, think they only have a womens team. I also have tickets to the British lions game in Brisbane. Looking foirward to it, especially after how they played last night (against a fairly poor side mind you). Going to play some FM and then head to the pub for a few recovery beers.
