Puevlo
They have the will and the desire to go all the way. I have never seen a team more determined to reach the lofty heights of glory and hoist that trophy high into the air. Put your house on it.
thegr8anand
If they can emulate Chelsea then yes they just might ride their luck but won't.

skybluedave
Oh it's widely known. I agreed to it before wc10. Said the same again this year.
Heartwork
If England win I'm streaking through my office in a thong and a st George's cross painted on my chest. We'll need video evidence or it didn't happen.

noikeee
It could happen. After watching Greece win the Euros with a strategy of refusing to play football, I wouldn't rule out anything. I think you guys are a little too pessimistic, okay England won't be among the top 6 favourites, but there are far, far worse teams in the tournament. Look at teams like the Czechs and Ireland. For all their perceived lack of talent, England are infinitely more talented than sides like those.
Razzler
Doesn't matter about those sides it matters about the ones in our group. We have no reason to be so pessismistic about Sweden and Ukraine if we get ourselves together

Nordan
England will be lucky to get out of the group stage,if they manage that anything can happen I guess.
Müller1469564937
They won't even win their group, let alone the actual tournament.
skybluedave
Good thing you don't need to win your group to win the tournament
SI Staff Ter Posted June 5, 2012 SI Staff Share Posted June 5, 2012 England might qualify from their group but if they come across any team with a decent forward line they'll score goals. I think at the moment the Dutch and Germans would take 2 oor 3 goals off this England side. Do they have 3 or 4 goals in them to hit back? I doubt it looking at the weak attacking options. I wonder how much possession Spain would have against them if Belgium can dominate. They were only a decent striker away from giving England a doing the other day. Worst England side in a long long time and there isn't much coming through to get excited about.
