Old Hand
I'm playing in the Scottish 2nd Division. I took a Colombian guy on trial who'd been released by a First Div team. He was quality so I tried to sign him. His work permit application was turned down but he's eligible to play for me whilst he's on trial. Interestingly, he's not eligible for cup games, just league games. Is this really allowed in Scotland or is this a bug?
Nottingham Forest
It is allowed. It should also say in the rules tab of the league competition.
Ryknow
A max of two trialists can play in league games in the SFLs.
Old Hand
Thanks for the replies, Ok, so the trialists are allowed - what about the work permit issue though? That doesn't matter if it's a trial? Fantastic news if not - the boy's on fire at the minute!
Nottingham Forest
Hmm yeah, that's a bit of a strange one. Not sure about that.
Ryknow
He's not working, technically, as he's not getting paid for his services. That's my guess. Either way it's handy in the lower divs.
