Indirect freekicks.....anybody scoring any?

I'm only getting 2 or 3 goals a season from indirect freekicks.

tried best header, far, near etc and nothing is getting created.

Anyone having any luck?

Yep. Score about 12 goals from indirect free-kicks a season, which is about the abysmal expected rate.

Key thing is to ensure you pick a player who not only has good Free Kicks attribute, but also good Crossing and Passing. Preferably of course also Creativity (so he can spot the options, which is particularly important if you put it on "Mixed", but still important anyway), as well as Concentration and Composure so that he can use his full Technique (which also should be good). All of these should be good for his actual level, of course, not like... 20 in everything is mandatory or something. The PPM for curling the ball also helps make free-kicks more dangerous.

You do of course also need to have players attacking the right areas. The right players attacking the right areas. If you have a tall forward, you want him attacking the danger zone, not a defender; if you don't, your defender with the better off the ball combined with heading ability is a good bet, since he needs to be able to find space as well as actually head the thing into the net (the heading the thing into the net is arguably the easy bit). He should also be strong OR quick. Either will do; quick players will just make their play a little later, tall players will get in position early and hold it.

I do wish we could specify "don't shoot from direct free-kicks", though, or better, specify different takers for indirect kicks to direct kicks.
