odo
Am I stuck with them, since all are on rolling contracts? If I sign a replacement, do I then have to pay a huge conpensation fee?
aaron1606
When in contract negotiations with a new staff member, the screen will display the compensation fee you'd have to pay to replace the existing staff member.

aaron1606
It may be cheaper to try offering mutual termination to the guy you want rid of first?
DaBossa
Im going to bump this, as the answer you gave Aaron is somewhat vague. All staff are given rolling contracts is this correct? In Classic is there an option to start without staff? (i cant remember) When starting a new game, can we replace staff without paying a fee or are we stuck with what we have? (if we dont have any funds) If we want to replace a staff member, doing so at the end date of the contract (season 01/07/**) will mean no fee to pay? Can i set the date to start a contract when signing staff? (like transfers - immediate, end of contract, etc..)
Administrators Lucas Posted April 28, 2014 Administrators Share Posted April 28, 2014 All staff are on rolling contracts. There is no option to start without staff (nor is there in FM). In a new game, you have 4 options for replacing staff: 1) Sign somebody else and pay compensation 2) Offer mutual termination 3) Let AI sign your staff 4) Don't replace them. Rolling contract by definition means rolling, so the end date is always 1 year from the current date. You can't set a date to start when signing staff in FM or FMC.
