Quick hypothetical though...(not even sure that this would be possible)

A last-day Citeh win against Liverpool is needed to win the league and stop the Scousers from achieving the same thing. Somehow this victory also seals our relegation from the Prem whereas a Liverpool draw or victory doesn't.

Do you still refuse to root for the Scousers? </div></BLOCKQUOTE>

If it ever got that bad, I'd quit watching the game

And, while Ferguson continues to be linked with big-money moves for Fernando Torres and Darren Bent, the Scot is convinced now Larsson's arrival is certain, he will not need to look for any more forwards when the transfer window opens next month.

"No, we won't be going for any other strikers," confirmed the United boss.

"We have exhausted all avenues and this, without doubt, is the best option."

The imminent return of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer from a hamstring strain should see United through to the new year, when Giuseppe Rossi seems certain to be recalled from his loan spell at Newcastle, offering Ferguson even more alternatives for the start of the Red Devils' FA Cup campaign.

Btw, am i the only one that DIDN'T saw a dive from Ronaldo? It's quite obvious on the replays that he tripped by himself ffs.

But true he fell very theatrical either way. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>

I ment that he tripped for real. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>

the fact that he didn't appeal (just like against boro) means I'm reluctant to call it a dive, but again he's waiting for the foul which causes him to lose balance, which he should cut out of his game tbh. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>

I didn't saw that. Against Boro it was obvious he was waiting for a foul but here he just tried to reach the ball and did a little sidestep (guy in front of him) and ended up tripping his right foot into his left and fell over.

Nobody in Tier 1 complained about being hit either which makes it worse. They held us for 24 hrs before they bailed us. Due back in court in 4 weeks time. Doubt we could end up with a ban, probably a fine at worst but we're not keen on criminal records so hopefully the prosecutors will see some sense and drop the charges.

The way the Police dealt with us too was a bit over the top. Finger prints, DNA, Hand cuffs when ever they were moving us and 2 officers escorting each of us, we were searched at least 8 times in the space of 24 hrs. It's not like we stabbed someone to death. And what was the point in holding us for 24 hours? We weren't exactly a danger to society! We missed our non-refundable flight home because of it and had to fork out for a flight to Dublin and then had to get the bus down home because it was after the last train when we arrived. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>

****s sake, utter disgrace. It would look fffffb if we all did it at games, the likes of Milan etc have it done so why not us. What's next? </div></BLOCKQUOTE>

i think my 'attacking football that may leave us trophyless' > 'dull football that wins trophies' view is probably largely because my generation has been so ridiculously spoilt in terms of trophies. doubtless if i were a liverpool fan (ergh) things would be a bit different.

well, if they had any kind of tradition for playing good football ofc

I don't think any professional sports team keeps the jersey the same every year. Why do that when you can get the diehards buying your new:

I thought at Bolton he spoke openly about his 'need' to go to a bigger club? Obviously wouldn't be applicable if he played for us, but symptomatic I think of his awkward nature, and puts in question how he'd react to being subbed, dropped, or given criticism by Fergie.

Having said that I still think we need a striker, and if Fergie gets rid of Saha he might be our only option, assuming that Eto'o/Torres/Villa/Huntelaar et al are too expensive. I'd take him over Bent or Defoe in a heartbeat.

I still think we should look at David Nugent as well tbh :/
