I'd imagine that the ticket exchange service is going to come into its own next season in part because of that.

It's going to be easier to sell out cup games with the season ticket holders all having to sign up, but as has been pointed out, many will be unwilling to/unable to/not want to pay for and go to every fixture so a lot will use viagogo or increasingly act as distributors themselves. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>

ST holders next season will get these season cards for the 19 league games, but everytime we draw a team in a cup at home, could the ticket office not add the game onto the card? I don't know about the technical stuff but if this could be done, it would mean they wouldn't have to send out tickets to everyone. If this was the case, there would be less tickets on viagogo because ST holders wouldn't want to lend their unique season card to complete randomers hoping they don't damage/lose it and return it. But yeah, if they did use normal tickets, there would be hundreds of tickets on viagogo for cup games.

luckily i managed to improvise and make it look like i was castigating my beloved toffees for their defensive ineptitude, and two other reds behind me who went a bit mental copped all the flak.

just such an amazing day from start to finish. get to goodison right at kickoff, i think if me and mart are both honest we were bricking it as we went in and tried to find our seats. interesting view, will put a picture up in a bit. united fans brilliantly loud from the off over to our left, alas no real chance of getting in with them so we settled down and tried to be inconspicuous (applauding everton passes/tackles etc). could see the Stubbs goal coming a mile off really (why such a shitty small wall ffs, he's only going to do one thing, there's not going to be any craft involved), think we managed to seem fairly convincing when 'celebrating it'. inside a feeling of doom began to kick in.

rest of the half we weren't bad really. the everton fans were whingeing at every decision going against them, obviously there's bias involved but i swear there isn't anywhere near that much moaning and mithering about clearly correct decisions going against us at OT. we never really looked like scoring though - wasn't particularly hard to blend in as there was little to really get excited about from a united viewpoint, but it's hard to stress just how weird it is having to force yourself to cheer when you want to get angry and vice versa. half-time arrived, chelsea leading, richardson warming up in full kit so obviously imminent, think i seriously contemplated leaving there and then.

after the fernandes goal, i think i seriously contemplated ending it all there and then. slumped in my seat for a few seconds, forced myself to get up and applaud but inside i felt like i'd just been kneed in the gut. being that gutted and having to at least look vaguely happy was really really horrible.

ofc around about this time Bolton had levelled at Chelsea, but we didn't know that. JOS' goal came at the perfect time, any longer and you sensed shoulders could have dropped. surprised myself by managing to outwardly portray disappointment and hurled a few expletives at Turner - game on. tbf we'd pretty much dominated the half and their goal was against the run of play, but now we were right on top. think it was around this time that we learnt it was 2-2 at the bridge, but tbf i completely disregarded that, they'd never hang on. of far more concern was the quite sublime Pip Nev og, infinitely harder to keep composed, had mart kicking me because i was subconsciously tapping/clapping along to the songs from the united section icon_biggrin.gif

then the news of it being 2-2 at chelsea filtered through to the united fans and as we chased the lead, i began to care less and less about being identified as a red. nothing blatant, just cba pretending to be a keen evertonian any more. mart impressed me, never stopped the whole game with 'f**king come on blues'. the accent admittedly made it a bit hard to believe, but top effort. then the Rooney goal - class finish and boy did he deserve it, both because of how hard he'd worked and because of the stick he'd taken. kicked off a bit around us then as i kinda mentioned earlier, police waded in and hauled a few reds off. after that it was really hard not to laugh as wayne set about running down the clock in the most showboaty way possible and several everton fans sounded like they were about to combust. then chrissy eagles' goal ffs icon_biggrin.gif looked like his legs went to jelly when he realised he had a chance to score but what a class finish. was grinning my tits off at that point, not least because we'd heard the chelsea game had ended 2-2.

final whistle, thank f**k for that. it was strangely exhilarating being in the home end, bit like having sex in public i guess - half the thrill is that you might get caught - but i can't say it's something i'd want to do regularly, utterly draining. the tannoys were saying the away fans would be kept in for a half-hour or so after the final whistle so we hung around, let the coast clear a bit and edged our way over there. we weren't alone in doing so, and the police to their credit opened the gate and let us all into the away end where we proceeded to wreck our vocal chords for the next 30 minutes or so - Fergie was out on the pitch doing an interview for lots of it and spent most of the time acknowledging us. pretty awesome stuff.

then arguably the best bit - the police escort right the way back from goodison to lime street station. must have been a 60/70 minute trek but it doesn't get much better than basically marching through Liverpool with hundreds/thousands of reds working our way through the songbook, proper tribal stuff. loads of everton waiting just outside the ground with munich chants, shipman chants etc, think everyone was far too giddy to really care and this seemed to rile the scousers even more. was pretty ace seeing them reacting so easily to simple taunting and getting nicked. best bit by far was about halfway when walking on what was i guess a dual carriageway, but on the other side there were a few houses and out of one emerged a bloke in an argentina shirt - cue the expected chants, he looks embarrassed, then out charged this utter monstrosity of a lardy scouse woman - she was basically screaming abuse at us really quite randomly for easily five minute straight, all the time trying to get across to the side of the road we were occupying and failing because of oncoming traffic. the more she tried, the more we heckled her ('have you ever seen a salad have you f**k' etc) and the more she looked like she was about to either cry or explode. probably had to be there, but hilarious stuff.

next best bit was getting into the city centre and basically seeing all these scousers gathering to see wtf was going on, lining both sides of the road, scaling the gates and fences of the parks and buildings around there, foaming at the mouth as we ran through every derogatory scouse song we could think of, safe in the knowledge we were perfectly safe and they were getting hauled off by the police. ffffffffb

only downside was not getting a drink from arrival at goodison to when we finally got back to manchester on the special. parched is not the word.

f**king love it. what a season.

What i really loved at the end of the game, besides the random clearances and Fergie showing the lads that it is 2 -2, was that after the 4th goal was scored Fergie already went and shook the hands of all the staff members on Everton's bench icon_biggrin.gif

I thought he was not allowed to go out of his "box" icon_biggrin.gif

haven't seen this, a bit of a dampener, but confirming what i suspected at least.

<BLOCKQUOTE class="ip-ubbcode-quote"><div class="ip-ubbcode-quote-title">quote:</div><div class="ip-ubbcode-quote-content">Ji-sung Park is set to spend at least four months on the sidelines following an operation on his knee.

The South Korea international sustained the injury during the last minute of Manchester United's 4-1 victory over Blackburn at the end of March and, although the injury was not thought to be serious at first, tests later revealed he required surgery.

And, having had the operation in the United States under the highly-regarded Dr Richard Steadman, it now appears that he will need to wait until August before reassessment.

"Ji-sung Park has had a complicated cartilage operation that required an expert in his field," said a club spokesman.

"He will be out for the remainder of the season and we will assess the situation again in August."

The injury means Park will not be able to play a part in his country's Asia Cup games in July.

</div></BLOCKQUOTE>

The fact they're going to re-assess it means an August return is not a formailty either icon13.gif

Kinda looking forward to two possible scenarios

Scenario 1

We beat City, Arsenal Draw with Chelsea, We then lose to Chelsea at the Bridge. Mourinho refusing to concede the title despite the goal difference would be very amusing.

Scenario 2

We get a point at the Bridge and confirm the title is ours. Would Chelsea give us an honour guard like we did for them?

Basically what I have been wanting all season, to see Terry and Drogba applauding Ronaldo & Ronney would be fb, although wouldnt we have to already be crowned champions for that to happen?so it means it is more likely to happen in your first scenario.

I liked Eagles goal icon14.gif

Serious question not trying to troll: Why did Rooney make a point of going to the Everton fans and kissing the Man Utd badge? I thought he was still an Everton fan at heart having been there since 12 or whenever he joined?, or has he lost all interest for them after Moyles is suing him?
