The worry with O'Shea is that he still doesn't seem to realise that a major part of a full backs job is stopping crosses coming in as far as i'm concerned, and as a consequence stands too far off his man, especially as he gets sucked into central areas a bit too readily.

Other than that he's not done too bad out there, and it doesn't feel like a disaster when his name's on the teamsheet like it does when he's in midfield.

id honestly risk them both. vidic can only be a fitness issue, little danger of him aggravating a dodgy shoulder. rio hasnt been out that long for fitness to be a big issue.

hopefully get 90 minutes under their belts then throw them into the derby against 'not scored in the league at home since new years day' city.

As for Rio/Vidic in terms of risk of further injury, i would have thought Vidic can either play or not depending on the results of the scan. Groin injuries are much harder to assess, as was shown by Rio's last attempt at a comeback when they thought he was fit. If he's even remotely borderline, he shouldn't play imo.

I'm with him as far as Rio & Vida go. I suppose the only other option is KR left back but he'll probably crumble and have to be taken off anyway so if Fletch does end up RB do we go with...

Fergie said last week that he hoped to have Nev back before the end of the season but wasnt sure we would.

and Milan for me dont really pose much of an attacking threat. Those words might come back to haunt me but i feel if we can man mark Kaka out of the game then we pretty much stop Milan.

Problem is who does the job on kaka? There was a time when we could ask the iceman or Pip to do it but i'd struggle to see who now.

I guess I always just see it as a 433/451 setup with Giggs/Rooney/Ronaldo switching about as desired/needed & its because we're playing away that I put them deeper so thats why I lined them up like that rather than...

i know icon_frown.gif

may have to start sorting these things on my own soon, 6.30am flight followed by about 5 hrs on a coach isnt my ideal way of spending the holiday.

not really. he's quite strong and well-built for his age, makes a decent target man but he's distinctly average in almost every way tbh. hope he does well and gets a contract though, cheers for the info.

Get the train it only takes 3 hours a few lads I know are going via venice. I think its about £20 and one leaves every hour.

But the United boss is unhappy that Mourinho sought to bring Ronaldo's education and background into the argument.

"We try to draw a line under it, of course," said Ferguson on Sky Sports News, ahead of The Red Devils' UEFA Champions League semi-final with Milan.

"We've got an important issue tomorrow with the game itself.

"Maybe the tactic is to unsettle the boy, I don't know, but I think he's barking up the wrong tree there.

"I think he was below the belt in bringing class into it. Someone coming from a poor working class does not mean to say you're not educated.

"What Ronaldo has got are principles, that's why he has not responded to it.

"Whereas some people who are educated have no principles, so we're leaving the matter that way." </div></BLOCKQUOTE>
