Razzler
Not accepting the RVP goal until the goal line technology proved it. You can guarantee when a 50/50 - we're not sure if it crossed the line incident happens this technology is still gonna prove inconclusive, right
benjaminpeter
Probably in the top 5 so far. Lol. Spain outclassing the Dutch all over the park, apart from that one moment. Not so much tiki-tanka stuff, just really great football. Be an interesting second half now.

EnterUsernameHere
Wow. That was some goal by Van Persie, absolutely brilliant to watch...even if I want Spain to win. Iniesta pass to David Silva sublime too.

benjaminpeter
Yes but it's not the defenders fault someone tries to use his leg as a prop. We can say he shouldn't have done it but it doesn't somehow make someone going over you your fault. It's still the fault of a player taking advantage. Always I agree on the point of cheating if that's what it was (I'd still like to see it from a better angle) but if the defender stays on his feet, that situation never occurs in the first place. Why give your opponent the chance to con the ref?

milnerpoint
From one of the angles it does kinda look like costa just puts his foot down and it lands on the leg of the sliding player, he does throw himself a bit at the end, but im inclined to say pen. daylight
A cracking goal from Van Persie, simply great to see that. A good match but dear me De Jong would look more at home in a ring rather than a football park.
ReggaeBwoy
Can't really fault Spain apart from that RVP goal. They have been excellent and when they have an actual striker they are much more enjoyable to watch.

Kerber
The contact is supposed to be the reason for Costas fall but Costa was already falling and made sure his foot touched the defenders leg to make it look like fall. Great van persie goal I don't agree with that either, but if he was touched is penalty. He has no obligation to avoid contact. A WC defender should be smarter. This is football basics and has been this way for years!

ReggaeBwoy
Ferdinand is on the same par as Shearer. He said the Dutch defenders would be more pleased marking Costa instead of a false 9 player like Fabregas. Rubbish!

Ricky Riccardo
Spain really are challenging Brazil for the most hated team. You have a tratior in costa and the rest are floppers and divers. ReggaeBwoy
I think he was making the point that its easier to mark someone that is always with you than one that comes and goes like a false 9. Its probably one of the most frequently used arguments for the false 9.I kind of trust Rio's opinion on a topic like that. He's a lot better than I expected generally. If it is a false no.9 like Messi it is understandable but if you asked the Dutch defenders I think you would know what the answer would be. Coming up against such a beast like Costa is much more of a demanding task.
