G_D_K
Has anyone got a save with Truro on by any chance? Preferably with a large database and no added players. Not sure if anyone else has them available...but check out post #7 (first page of thread) --- I've a list of saves that I've uploaded....bottom code box save#5 has a Truro team in it. Cheers, Galen Thanks for your hard work. I'm desperate to play as Stourbridge but the Save 15 you have included which has Stour in it can't be found. Andrew Haines
St Neots Town FC 2022/23 League 1 - 2nd FA Cup League Cup Johnstone's Paint Trophy Overview A second promotion on the bounce, I thought we may struggle in League One but as it proved we went straight up again. We cut it close though, having had a commanding lead of the chasing pack at Christmas we managed to drop too many points and were dragged back into a battle for promotion. Going into the last game of the season we sat third, equal on points with Wycombe who had a +1 goal difference. We needed to better their result to go up, as it proved we scraped a 1-0 victory over Oldham, if Wycombe won we would have dropped into the playoffs. Wycombe away at Charlton missed a penalty in the 71st minute before they took the lead in the 74th minute putting them in the promotion spots. 22nd placed Charlton equalised two minutes later though and held on meaning we were up! We made this a double when we retained the Johnstones Paint Trophy with a 4-1 win over Gateshead. This meant we had won the tournament in both of our seasons eligible to compete in it. At the start of the season we had a minor striker crisis. I decided to sell our two strikers who had just shot us to promotion in pre-season. Unfortunately, no-one wanted to offer me a fee so I had to sell with a 50% sell on fee (this may yet pay off). Unfortunately non of my targets to replace them wanted to join and going into August I was looking at playing loan players. I picked up an attacking midfielder Brimacombe-Wiard on a free who I figured would have the ability to play the no. 10 role so set about re-training him. For my more attacking striker I really struggled. In the end I bid £500k for Eoin Egan, an Irish striker who had just turned down arranging a free transfer for January. Eoin I had viewed as possibly one for the future initially but he was a revelation. He scored 38 goals in all competitions. Most of the rest of the team was made up from the team promoted from League Two. The notable exception would be keeper Mick Conlon who I paid a club record £900k to St Pats for. I view this as a very important position so was fairly happy to spend the previous seasons FA Cup windfall on him. The Team GK Mick Conlon - Irish keeper was the clubs record buy at £900k last summer from St Pats. WB Darren Shaughnessy - Arrived from Sligo on a free in January. The young Irish Fullback did well. CB Mark Nutt - The club captain has been with the club since the Conference South days. Had another good season. CB Peter Hayes - Started the season as a fullback before moving into the middle. Developing well in his second season. FB Cristinel Nalati - Romanian fullback was released last July before being re-signed in August when I struggled to find a replacement of higher quality. RM Fahad Rwakarambwe - Wide midfielder played in the Championship with Portsmouth. Had another good season, added 13 goals. AP Dan Crowley - Irish playmaker is another player who has been with the team since the Conference South promotion season. Did well but may struggle with the step up. DLP Emmanuel Eromoigbe - Nigerian midfielder did well again and started to attract attention from larger clubs. Sent off five times however. W Ben Everiss - Winger played on loan in our Conference winning season. Signed permanently from Chelsea the following season. Has developed into a potent attacking force. AF Eoin Egan - Striker signed from Cork City for £500k in August as a desperate measure. We had struggled to sign strikers. Eoin overacheived all expectations and scored 38 goals. DLF Josh Brimacombe-Wiard - Attacking midfielder converted to a creative striker after signing from Blackburn. Had a good season but could have scored more goals. Year League Pos. Lightning Dust
Stourbridge - The Journey Begins After a while of reloading trying to get Dunstable, I decided to do the math on it ever turning up and it wasn't very high, so I took over Stourbridge. Based in the West Midlands, we're a semi-professional club with a 2,000 capacity stadium offering 250 seats. The team is predicted to finish bottom of the division, so my intention is to dig in with a 4-5-1 defensive formation and attempt to avoid relegation this season. The squad looks sub-par so I'll be looking to move out some weak players and make some loan and free signings to build a more nimble team. Thebaker
2024/25 Table | Squad | Table Another frustrating season where the home form was good and the away form poor, in fact only another good end to the season took the team up to 9th. Lost to League 1 Fleetwood in the FA cup 2nd rd. Lost to Colwyn Bay in the 2nd rd of the FA trophy. Tried to improve the squad by getting in better players. Let Stenning (223 apps, 45 goals) go as well as Mcdermott (145 apps), both had done well at the club but to take the club foward needed to be let go. I also sold Goddard and used the money to bring in Cherry who was probably my best player. I signed Smith to improve the defence which had a notable effect in the 2nd half of the season. Odour was brought in to provide more competition in attack as was thorpe although he got injured for 3 months. G_D_K
Its about a million pounds in the bank usually at the end of the season. Or if promoted to league 2 I went professional at the end of my first Vanarama Conference season---after losing in the playoff finals. I think I had >£1M in the bank...so the previous observation sounds about right.

EvertonblokesMobile
Evertonblokes Bognor Regis Season 26/27 What an amazing season!!! Went into this season with no money and thinking it was all about survival and getting ready to push on next season, but our form from last season just carried on through. I knew I had a logical tactic and that I understood it so I was confident of staying up, but in the end we came third and went up again via the playoffs. After 13 games we were actually top, although I never thought we would be able to maintain it, at this point I'm thinking we have done most of our points for safety so no need to worry too much about going down, although I was concerned about a massive losing streak without explanation, this season it didn't happen. We never even lost 3 in a row at any point! When the season ended we had 91 points and a +44 goal difference, which would have beaten the Conference Champions in 5 of the previous season that have happened in my game. The play-offs were a little harder than I expected though, 2 all in both legs of the semi leading to a penalty shoot out which we won 5-4 after they missed their first shot. The final went to extra time after a last minute equaliser on our part, this must have broken their spirit as we scored again on 113th minute to take the play off final We also smashed the record for most goals scored on the final day of the season getting 112 goals in the season beating Grimsbys total of 111 from two years earlier. The playoffs gave us an advantage on this too and we finished on 119, which I doubt will be beaten for a long time. Moneywise, things were looking dire as we lost money each month, at some point a well off fan decided to help us out and bought the club for a fans trust, taking a massive loan out to clear the debts, and only adding £14,000 a month to the expenditure for the repayments. However must months they also chuck in about £100K for no particular reason, which I am certainly not complaining about! On the player front we had a small squad again, although slightly larger than last season, the squad consisted of 18 players, which I supplemented with 4 long term loans. One of the players I was very happy with in Liam Lake, an ex-Barnsley trainee who, to be fair, was awful with all his previous clubs. I took a chance on him as I wanted the pace and he repaid me in spades. Toping the league on assists on 24 (25 including cups) and scoring 21 goals, the second highest at the club. At 25 years old I am hoping he can improve, but the coaches are no use now as they think hes reached his potential. For the guy that was asking about Bognor turning pro, we had about £200k in the bank at the end of the season and we turned pro, but I suspect that that was because of the league football next season. I'm feeling good about next season now, got a few quid in the wage budget to bring a couple of players in, but we will still be looking at a small squad. However I am hoping the extra training time from being professional will help the younger players improve quickly. Summary: 15/16 Billericay - Conf South - 13th 16/17 Billericay - Conf South - 9th 17/18 Billericay - Conf South - 20th - Relegated and sacked 18/19 Margate - Conf South - 11th 19/20 Margate - Conf South - Sacked in October 20/21 Canvey Island - Conf South - 22nd - Relegated and sacked 21/22 Stamford - Conf North - 20th - Relegated and sacked 22/23 Bognor Regis - Conf South - 5th - Promoted via Play-offs 23/24 Bognor Regis - Conf Prem - 20th 24/25 Bognor Regis - Conf Prem - 23rd - Relegated 25/26 Bognor Regis - Conf South - 1st - Champions - Manager of the Year 26/27 Bognor Regis - Conf Prem - 3rd - Promoted - Manager of the Year Update, just had the end of season contract updates and now I find I am £2,200 over the wage budget of £6,600 due to a bunch of 30% promotion increases I gave some of my players! RickH
Nice work EvertonBloke, I'm enjoying my save but really struggling first season in the conf, gonna be a battle to avoid relegation, it's tough with a small squad isn't it?! dafuge
Canvey Island - Barclays Premier League - 2030/31 We have become a major force, but a lack of squad depth had made us inconsistent. League Table - we won it despite throwing away lots of points when playing the youngsters. Community Shield - a comfortable win. UEFA Super Cup - we should have won by a lot more. FIFA Club World Cup - we were easily the better side. Capital One Cup - we slipped up early on. FA Cup - we made a mess of the final. UEFA Champions League - yet again we made a mess of the final, losing to Real Madrid (again). Has a player ever missed twice in a shootout before? Transfers - I spent big on a left back I had wanted for years, who wasn't even that good. Squad - I'm trying to bring some younger players through, including a couple of youth products. Finances - we were in debt a while ago, the prize money saved us. Key Player Profiles: Tobias Koller - top scorer. John Victor - had an incredible season. LarkFenFizz
Some great achievements here & I take my hat off to anybody who managed to successfully take a lower reputation team all the way to the top. My last attempt with Weymouth ended in disaster - Low money for wages & not being able to attract anybody decent led me to throw in the towel after loss after loss! Decided to take over at Hereford which I found relatively easy & attracted some good players / regens released by Irish clubs. One midfielder was sold to Cardiff for 900k which is a huge amount of money for a Conference North club - I eventually got a little bored after winning the Conference with 114pts. Had a bash with Kingstonian next on a different file / save & had a blistering start after 3 seasons at the helm winning 15 out of 16 games. In the Conference I achieved a 14th place first time around but semi-professional status killed me & form suffered due to poor fitness levels. Was sacked due to not achieving a playoff position before applying for the St Neots job. Now this is where it gets interesting! Noticed that St Neots had players such as (old) Matt Ritchie & Charlie Austin on 5k & 6k a week contracts & at the interview was given a 200k transfer kitty & 40k a week wage budget which is an incredible amount. Not sure how a club with a average attendance of 300 can sustain such a high outgoing but after promotion to the Conference Premier my stadium was expanded by 750 seats. At the moment the wage budget was 50k & I've tried to keep it to around 20k, but apart from young players I'm finding older ones are asking for x5 as much money as other players have asked for Hereford, Kingstonian etc. At the moment I'm unsurprisingly £1.5million in debt & not sure what to do with the current financial situation. Do I simply spend beyond my means & blast up through the leagues before the poo hits the fan?
dafuge
Do I simply spend beyond my means & blast up through the leagues before the poo hits the fan? It's a risk, but you need to stretch your finances to stand a good chance of getting promoted. You'll find it tough to go up by looking after your finances. darren1983
Dulwich Hamlet - Conference South - 2015/16 League Table - well this was unexpected, with 12 games to go we were 9 points clear, with 2 games to go we were top only on GD after a run of 2 wins in 10. We won our last 2 games where Hayes & Yeading drew (in fact they chocked big time by drawing their last 4 games) FA Cup - played my best team and got beat by a team from the league below. Annoying. FA Trophy - used this to give game time to fringe players, a good win over Conference side Woking and an unlucky loss to another side in the league above. Transfers - usual high turnover, expect it to be the same this year. Squad - a decent squad with some obvious holes to fill. Finances - spent the entire season with over £1k spare of my wage fund and still ended the season over £100k in debt. Not good. Key Players Ricky Shakes - fantastic return from the experienced wide man. Charlie Walker - was on fire till only 1 goal in his final 12 games. Missed the run in with an injury. George Burton - on loan from Southend, had a few injury problems but still ended with 18 goals. Anthony Gerogiou - pacey left winger fitted in nicely after his mid season arrival. Lance Cronin - for most of the season we had the best defence in the league, pressure seemed to get to him during our poor run in though. EvertonblokesMobile
Nice work EvertonBloke, I'm enjoying my save but really struggling first season in the conf, gonna be a battle to avoid relegation, it's tough with a small squad isn't it?! Glad to see professional status is a sure thing on promotion though, something else to aim for! Hang in there mate, as you will see from my history I got relegated a few times! Compensate for the small squad by going out of the cups early so you can concentrate on the league. You will lose some money, but you don't need to worry about fitness as much. Andrew Haines
St Neots Town FC 2023/24 Skybet Championship - 4th - Promoted via Playoffs FA Cup League Cup Overview Premier League here we come! Having been given the expectations to not be thrashed every week at the start of the season we managed the unlikely and achieved a third straight promotion. We managed to last two thirds of the season holding onto the coattails of leaders Plymouth and Reading. A small squad and injuries bit at the end of the season however and we dropped away, finishing in fourth place. In the play-offs, in the first leg of the semi-final we were down to 10 men against Cardiff for 60 minutes. We lost 2-0, a deficit we looked unlikely to overturn at half time of the second leg. Drawing 1-1 and looking second best we looked out of it. Two goals in four minutes on 62 and 66 drew us level before star striker Torstein Bjerke who had just returned from injury scored his second on 85 minutes putting us into the final. In the final we outclassed Watford and comfortably won 3-0 despite finishing with 10 men. 8 of the first team will require replacing at least if we are to be competitive in the premier league. Hopefully we will be given decent funds to put into the side. The Team GK Mick Conlon - Another decent season from the Irish keeper but unlikely to make the step up. WB Darren Shaughnessy - Young Irish Fullback had a good season and may well retain his place next season. CB Gylfi Jonsson - Icelandic Centreback arranged a transfer in July and joined in January. Will be key next season. CB Miroslav Gilgoric - 25 year old Serbian midfielder or defender. Will be a useful utility player in the premiership. FB Milan Djukanovic - Completed a trio of Serbians in defence until Jonsson joined in January. Not good enough for the higher level. RM Raphael Besnard - Frenchman picked up following his release from Arsenal. Did well and is promising, likely to be a utility player next season. AP Lonardo Tabordo - 19 year old English playmaker on loan from Chelsea. Arguably the player of the season and has a big future. DLP Emmanuel Eromoigbe - Holding midfielder had another decent season. The Nigerian may only be a reserve next season however. W Robert Hughes - Signed on a free from Coventry in July. Did well but may not be good enough for the higher level. AF Torstein Bjerke - Norwegian Striker signed from Man U in the summer. Injuries set him back but scored 21 league goals. DLF Eliot Renard - French striker joined in January. Scored 9 goals, probably a benchwarmer next season. Year League Pos. Bonzo1
Marine 2021-22 (Season 7) "Defying Gravity" League - 1st CHAMPIONS FA Cup - 1st Round JPT - 1st Round League Cup - 1st Round After back to back promotions and entering the Football league and our professional era with essentially the same squad as won the VC North I expected great struggle for survival but maybe a decent season in lower mid table. A fine start, 3 wins on the bounce took us top early on and my head went and I altered our system slightly for some reason after back to back draws. This coincided with an early slump down the table and a return to my basic system with minor tweaks to take advantage of the strengths of my squad. This may have also coincided with me receiving "Inverting the Pyramid" from my brother this Xmas (I would advise everyone to get hold of a copy, fascinating book). I began to realise how my system works properly and I started to get the best out of the squad I had which led us on a great run which put us top around the midway point. The lack of cup games helped us immensely with fitness enabling me to play my best team in 90% of games. Injuries and suspensions eventually caught up with us hurting us in the last 10 games as i lost all 3 central midfielders on my books for a difficult 3 games spell where we picked up no points and we dropped to 3rd. The return of these players an a bit of an implosion from Portsmouth gave me the title eventually on the last day of the season. To make this all the more impressive for me was the fact that I did it with the lowest wage budget in the division at just 361K, half of the next lowest! Although superficially we were poor in the cups we went out valiantly to higher division sides in all 3, including taking Blackburn to penalties. All in all a ridiculous season of over performance by my players or I'm a tactical genius (unlikely). Im currently playing a 4-2-3-1 the main striker (defensive forward, support) is as much creator as anything else. Also not one player in my team is set to attack, helps us as we are all about ball retention. Key players Connor Hunte - Left winger. Excellent season but his first few months was ridiculous. Scored most of his goals in this purple patch. Still a good threat from the left. Lewis Atkins - Right back/winger on loan form Watford. Excellent goal return and split his time between both positions and performed brilliantly in both of them. Wont be back next year though. Chris Maguire - Probably his last season as a regular. Deployed more as an inside forward this season rather than as a winger due to Atkins attacking capabilities from full back overlapping gave us width on the right. This slight tweak made us more dangerous going forward Fiyako Tomori - Oh Captain my Captain! Should start to look out of his depth soon but another great season. His physical capabilities get him (and us) out of jail with out high line and off side trap set up. Charlie Pointon - loanee attacking midfield. Good creator but probably could have scored more Connor Hunt - Oh Keeper my keeper! Record appearance holder. Still class for us but has apparently reached his peak. Precious Godwin - Main defensive forward this season. His pace in behind helped take advantage when defensive errors presented themselves. Too inconsistent though to start every game. The lack of Wage budget (again!) means I will again have to rely on these players again to make another step up (deja vu) Plans from last season Survive SUCCESS Improve the squad for the professional era SORT OF Heavy reliance on loan players might come back to haunt us Plans for next season Survive History Season Level League FA Cup FA Trophy JPT League Cup Notes ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2015/16 VCN 19th 2nd Qual 3rd Qual 2016/17 VCN 9th 2nd Qual 1st Round 2017/18 VCN 15th 1st Round 3rd Qual 2018/19 VCN 3rd 3rd Qual 2nd Round 2019/20 VCN 1st 1st Round 1st Round 2020/21 NAT 1st 1st Round Semi Final 2021/22 L2 1st 1st round N/A 1st Round 1st Round
Crispypaul
Dulwich Hamlet 2017/18 Season Vanarama Conference Premier Season Review League: 7th A great first season in the Conference Premier, sitting only just outside the play off places which we would have been in were it not for a poor end to the season. FA Cup: 2nd Round Went one further this time, however we were defeated by a far better Luton Town. FA Trophy: Winners We pick up our first-ever FA Trophy with a defeat of Nuneaton in the final. Key players: Alex Addai: a reasonable season, being our second top scorer, but I feel his time has come to an end. Rohdell Gordon: another strong season from the central midfielder Stephen Atkinson: the loanee right winger had a very good season, and with his contract expiring I hope to sign him permanently. Stephen Hunt: the veteran Irish winger proved a useful addition to the squad. James Evans: the loanee striker was our top scorer, and his contract is also expiring so I will aim to add him to the squad permanently. Finances: a couple of cup runs plus selling an old transfer clause mean these are fine, enough to fund a training and a youth expansion. Mr_Demus
Hereford United - League 2 - Mooing on up Final position: 2nd League Table. A really weird season. We were predicted to finish 10th, but started off horribly. I was on the verge of a sack after 8 games, but the team picked up. I never felt we played really well over a period of time, but rather that we were very inconsistent through out. An awesome run of games in October and November saw us climbing the table and we never looked back constantly being in or around the playoff spots. Gentlemen, we are going to League 1. Once again, our cup matches was nothing to talk about. Transfers. We had a lot of deals once again. The pick of the bunch must be Jake Gray - more on him later. Squad. We didnt perform very well, but apparently it was enough. We need a consistent goalscorer, though I have high hopes for former Swansea man James Demetriou if he can avoid injuries. Speaking of James Demetriou. He was our topscorer with 16 goals in 31 league matches. An injury plagued season for him. Hopefully he can avoid that next season. Jake Gray was our key transfer and best player. Joining from Crystal Palace the winger set the league on fire, and I have very high hopes for this guy. He will need to perform if we are to stay up. Tripled my final VC wage budget of £10K...and had a £300K transfer budget as well. Still only spending <£15K as January nears an end....been riding my VC players for the most part, having only brought in three players so far. sammkeogh
Sammkeogh - Kingstonian - Season 3 2017/18 - Vanarama South An awful season. There were periods where we played really good football, and for a while, I thought we would have a nice midtable finish to build on, but then everything imploded. League - Table - Fixtures - Positions - Not entirely sure what led to the slump in form, but once we hit it, we never escaped. Eventually, the players turned on me and pretty much refused to play for me. I think the quality of my team was pretty high for the division, and for a while the players were proving me right, but apparently they are weak in will, or pride, or something. Just happy to clean my hands of this and move on, honestly. Cups - FA Cup - Trophy - Actually got a win in the FA cup qualifying this year, so that's progress, I suppose. Looking to do better with that next season, hopefully. Squad [1] [2] - I had a handful of effective players, some guys who were paid way too much money, and a pretty good amount of dead weight. Transfers - Again, brought a lot of guys in, some successful, some not so. Jack Byrne and Hugo Keto were two key signings made midseason by my DOF. I was excited to get Christian Oxlade-Chamberlain, brother of Alex, on my squad. He was decent, not a key player for me, a good energy substitute at this stage, but he still has much potential. I even paid for a guy. Surprise surprise, he was awful. Finances - Not a lot of money here. I didn't help with the money I spent, but in my defense, they gave me a sizable budget, and the mediocre players already on the bill were largely overpaid. Staff - Had a much easier time picking staff this season, due to all the retired players trying to get jobs. Actually, all but one of my staff started the game as a player. The quality of my staff was very high for this level, hopefully I can expect the same next season. Key Players Micky Donovan - The loanee. Was a goal machine for most of my campaign. Pretty physically imposing for a player his age, and popped the goals in with ease for a while. Jack Byrne - A midseason acquisition, Jack came in and hit the ground running, becoming our most consistent midfield player. However, like most of our other effective players, he couldn't really stay on the pitch. Next Season I'm going to watch some World Cup games (Harry Kane is playing for Ireland!) and dawdle around before jumping into June 25th and begging someone for a job. Andrew Haines
St Neots Town FC 2024/25 Premier League - 19th Overview A short season update as I'm not going to dwell. Disappointingly the board failed to release funds to me to give us realistic chance of staying up. By May we had £42m in the bank but were relegated. We gave it our best shot though and at one stage were looking good to stay up. In the end the lack of a quality striker told though. I have funds for next year however and am putting it a team of promising English players. Key Players Liam Thomas - Star player of the season. Wants a transfer but I will do everything I can to retain him. Leonardo Taborda - Star of last season. Had an inconsistant season this time , again on loan from Chelsea. Has agreed a £9m deal to sign permanently. Jose Coelho - Promising England u21 right back. Didn't have the best season but is one for the future. League Table - another easy win, although we are short of the 90 points we had a couple of years ago. Community Shield - fairly one sided. Capital One Cup - we very nearly threw it away at Fulham, but went on to win the cup. FA Cup - our biggest test came in the final. UEFA Champions League - finally we got revenge over Real Madrid before leaving it very late in the final. Transfers - two straight swaps to bring in younger players. Transfers in for the 2021/22 season, happy with this. http://i1167.photobucket.com/albums/q625/21maxwell/TransfersNewest_zps10786268.png My Squad for the upcoming season. http://i1167.photobucket.com/albums/q625/21maxwell/SquadNew_zps3397df1b.png Season Division Position Achievements ------------------------------------------------------------------------ 2015/16 Vanarama Conference North 1st Champions Fa Cup 2nd Qual round FA Trophy 4th Round 2016/17 Vanarama Conference 1st Champions Fa Cup 1st Round, FA Trophy 1st Round 2017/18 League Two 14th JTP Round 2, League Cup Round 1, FA Cup Round 2. 2018/19 League Two 2nd Promoted, League Cup Round 1, JPT Round 2, FA Cup Round 3 2019/20 League One 22nd Relegated, League Cup R1, JPT Round 1, FA Cup Round 2. 2020/21 League Two 1st Champions, League Cup R1, JPT Round 1, Fa Cup Round 2. dafuge
just a quick question, how do I post that list of your seasons? I want to make an update but have no idea how The easiest way to see it is to 'reply with quote' on someone else's to see exactly what code tags they have put in and where. I also use notepad to make sure everything is lined up properly.
Mr_Demus
FM logic at its finest. Top goalscorer Demetriou attracts interest from Charlton. He wants to leave the club to join Charlton. His contract is running out, so I try to make a buck on him. He decides to join Shrewsbury who are 12th in League 2. Great success.
col_nufc1
After growing bored of my Newcastle United save I have decided to give this challenge a go. After reloading for what seemed like hours upon hours I finally got the team I wanted Blyth Spartans. There was a couple of reasons that I wanted the Spartans, first was that they are a local club and second, of course the FA cup run that ended yesterday against Birmingham at Croft Park. Hopefully this save will be a lot quicker than I am used to with me just loading the English leagues down to the Vanarama Conference North/South and no extra Countries, leagues or players loaded. Finally here is my Manager profile 1 - Manager profile
