Nothing for me in Euro but it will be very interesting to see how the Striking Contest finishes up with a few guys really performing in the European Championships. Hopefully I can still stay near the top of the Premier Division and stay in the top 10 overall.

Tyler Burrows has become the highest paid player out of the 53, after signing a new 5 year deal worth £30million! That works out at a cool £97,000pw!

Geez that's bloody awsome, Let's just hope My payrise will transfer into international form icon_wink.gif

Hello guys.

Just want to drop a note to say, I'm going into the Navy on Thursday, and it means the end of my participation in signup games. It has been fun and I'd really enjoyed it.

Thanks once again. icon_smile.gif

Here here, best of luck fella. icon14.gif

If that means the end of your participation, then over the weekend I will sort out your replacement, along with getting rid of those who haven't posted since I warned them. So last chance for them.

People on the upper part of the reserve list, starting thinking whether you want a new 17/18 year old or you want to continue with an existing player?!

Well I didn't see that one happening lol! James Knowles & Bob Van Bob become responsible for the first ever sharing of the Eurovision Striking Contest after both players end up with the same points total thanks to Cristiano Ronaldo's injury time winner in the EURO 2012 Final to give Van Bob the 3 team bonus points. As they have an identical record otherwise, they are inseparable so will jointly share the trophy for the year. Bob Van Bob had a fantastic tournament to come from being outside the Overall Top 10 and only midtable in the 2nd Division to get one hand on the overall trophy!

Elsewhere, the EURO 2012 Finals was intriguing for the 3rd Division, as several players started to play more regularly for their nations. After a tight battle, Jim Alex of Romania has claimed the 3rd Division title for the season.

A consolation for Ben Arsenal as well, who had to watch from the sidelines as other players overtook him during the Finals Tournament. He still walks away with the Eurovision Premier League title.

In the playoff zone battles, all the teams in the respective lower divisions gaining promotion to the higher league, with effectively 5 players being relegated from both the Premier and 2nd Divisions. This meant that Brucie Bonus was relegated to the 3rd Division /o\

My Thoughts

The crowning of James Knowles & Bob Van Bob as joint overall champions could see the start of a period of domination by the larger nations in Europe and their hold on the championships. Some of the lower ranked nations may now need bonus points hauls during a season to try and compete with the bigger boys.

Those 2 also scored the highest amounts of points during a season if you ignore the bonus points received by Diego Polo last season for breaking the San Marino goalscoring record.

Only 4 countries are now left to award debut caps to the wonderstars: France, Holland, Italy & Russia.

Roll of Honours

With a sharing of the gold medal, Ben Arsenal gets silver and Robert Dillon the bronze.

The Race to 100 Caps

Diego Polo leads the way and an injury free season could see him reach 50 caps by the end of next season.

<pre class="ip-ubbcode-code-pre">

1. Diego Polo San Marino 42

2. Robert Dillon Luxembourg 40

3. Brendan Petersen Liechtenstein 38

4. Ryan Andrews Faroe Islands 37

5. Robert Boyle Estonia 37

</pre>

The Race to 50 Goals

In the other race between participators that leads to bonus points, the top 5 positions are held by:

<pre class="ip-ubbcode-code-pre">

1. Magnus Donaldson N Ireland 21

2. Diego Polo San Marino 19

3. Paddy O'Furniture Finland 16

4. Chu Haowan Hungary 15

5. Mini Saville Austria 14

</pre>

Magnus Donaldson maintains his lead and infact has increased the margin of his lead from 1 goal to 2!

Great updates again WW! Shame I did not fature in any promotion battles this season, but it was a time of building my profile on the international scene, and with my first goal, and champions league football all in one season, it was a good year! icon14.gif How was the domestic season this time around?

29(14) for club for Pendros and a move to Real Madrid sees good club form. Can he start at Real though?

And this form has seen a great return from the international wilderness, culminating in promotion to D2!

Onwards and upwards..

A bit more game time at Barcelona for Brendan Petersen with 9 goals in 20 games. Finished in the top 10 overall and in the 4 of the Premier Division but with players from bigger nations getting promoted Liechtenstein and Brendan will have to be at their free-flowing, goal-scoring best icon_wink.gif

All of the players are starting to look world class just by looking at a few screenshots so hopefully this will mean more goals all round next season.

A promising start but wound up mid-table, not even close to reclaiming my Premier Division status... That's all down to 2 reasons:

-1. Kazahkstan have no chance of participating in a major tournament.

-2. They never play friendlies! icon_mad.gif

I reckon my only hope of getting promotion or topping the yearly standards is to get the bonus for breaking the scoring record...

Great updates as usual. KUTGW icon14.gif
