His 11 goals for the season makes him a deserved winner for this season and he almost broke the 200 point barrier, which could soon become a new landmark barrier for greatness! A record high scoring season with 4 players beating last season's winning total of 158 points and a record number of 16 players with over 100 points. Congratulations to Ryan Andrews who at least has the consolation of 2nd Div champion! Well done to Benjas Kyriagkos who won the 3rd Division at a canter and will be a strong contender in the 2nd Div next season if he continues to play for Belgium Congratulations to Bob McBob, as he picked up his first cap and then scored a hattrick in his 2nd app against Azerbaijan - making up for lost time! Disappointment for Brucie Bonus as he is relegated to the 3rd Division. /o\ For past champions, Mike Bird & James Knowles there were varying fortunes, the former being relegated to the 2nd Div, whilst the later followed up his victorious season with a 10th place position in the overall contest. Yeah any other season and you would easily have made the Top 10, but this season you only get 13th overall due to the greater competition existing nowadays. I'm kind of hoping for the season when in one division you need 100 points to avoid relegation, but I'm probably being a bit optimistic!!

Walcott\'s Wonderkids
2012 / 2013 Season Summary Eurovision Striking Contest 2012/13 <pre class="ip-ubbcode-code-pre"> Eurovision Striking Contest 2012/13 Top 10 Table Total Pos Player Name Country App Goals Points ------------------------------------------------------------ 1 In Der Van Dude Slovenia 10 11 197 ------------------------------------------------------------- 2 Ryan Andrews Faroe Islands 10 9 186 3 Magnus Donaldson N Ireland 9 11 178 4 Parker Reynolds Poland 10 7 160 5 Jason Demir Kazakhstan 7 8 156 6 Jason Healy Scotland 8 7 144 7 Benjas Kyriagkos Belgium 7 8 142 8 Derren Brown Serbia 8 8 137 9 dafuge Macedonia 8 8 131 10 James Knowles Germany 10 5 127 ------------------------------------------------------------ </pre> Eurovision Premier Division 2012/13 <pre class="ip-ubbcode-code-pre"> Champion: In Der Van Dude / Slovenia Relegated: Mini Saville / Austria Felix / Lithuania Mike Bird / Croatia Paddy O'Furniture / Finland Ulf Chaoc / Georgia </pre> Eurovision Second Division 2012/13 <pre class="ip-ubbcode-code-pre"> Champion: Ryan Andrews / Faroe Islands Promoted: Parker Reynolds / Poland Jason Demir / Kazakhstan Pendros / Greece Arthur White / Azerbaijan Relegated: Brucie Bonus / Belarus Alexei Lloyd Hooker / Andorra Adam Wilkinson / Latvia Adam Moxon / Sweden Yhon Wi / England </pre> Eurovision Third Division 2012/2013 <pre class="ip-ubbcode-code-pre"> Champion: Benjas Kyriagkos / Belgium Promoted: King Queen / Ukraine Suk-Yo Bum / Bulgaria Steven Kemp / Malta Damon Lowe / Iceland </pre> My Thoughts Congratulations to In Der Van Dude who has become the 7th different winner of the Eurovision Striking Contest in its 6th season of running, with a record breaking points tally. Magnus Donaldson again provides stiff competition to the victor, but for the 4th season he has to settle for a top 3 position, but no winners medal. However, as he is only 2 goals away from breaking David Healy's scoring record next season could see him getting those 25 bonus points that gets him over the line. However, with next season featuring a World Cup, it is the players from the bigger nations that will again come to fore and will probably battling it out for the title. I have added a new section below of the all time top 10 scores which should hopefully identify the consistent high scorers over time. I have also done an analysis of how many people have broken 100 points each season, which should help identify how the players as a whole group develop over time.
