It was Derren Brown who got the tournament off to a fantastic start with a 4 goal virtuoso display against Sweden U19s, scoring 5 goals in total, but it was Niall O'Donnell who will end the tournament with all the headlines. 7 goals in 5 games, including a brace in the final and the MoM award meant that he finished top of the goalscoring charts and overall average ratings.

James Knowles also put in a solid display during the tournament, scoring a couple of goals and helping Germany reach the semis.

All 3 strikers will now be looking to press their case for further U21 caps in the forthcoming season, with possibly even a full senior cap.

Stage Three... Completo xD

Eurovision Soccer League

After an extremely success running of the Eurovision Striking Contest, the boffins at UEFA have devised a new competition to extract even more <STRIKE>money</STRIKE> interest in the new genre. They have officially announced that the 53 nations taking part will become part of the Eurovision Soccer League. Whilst the Eurovision Striking Contest will remain and will still be the No.1 competition for its participants, UEFA hope the Eurovision Soccer League will add greater interest to nations over the years who are not involved at the very top of the charts, as the excitement / worry of getting promoted / relegated with aid even more banter between fans!

UEFA has initially devised 2 leagues, with the 19 scoring nations from last season comprising the Eurovision Premier Division, but in future it is hoped for 3 leagues, 2 comprising 18 nations and 1 with 17. Nations / players will score points in the usual format, but with the new competition you possibly don't even have to be in the overall top 10 to win a trophy! Each season the bottom 3 / top 3 of each league will get relegated / promoted, but also the 4th & 5th bottom of each league will be compared against the 4th & 5th placed teams in the league below, with the 2 highest points scorers out of those 4 teams being in the higher league next season.

If you don't understand, don't worry - it will become clear as the season progresses! icon_biggrin.gif

For future seasons onwards, nations who are tied on points will be placed according to individual player points total, then goals scored and MoMs. icon14.gif

I guess I was right then. icon_biggrin.gif Still nice couple of goals. \o/

Don't really understand icon_biggrin.gif

Have you created this league in this game? So we will start to play in this league in this current sign-up? If you know what I mean... icon_biggrin.gif

icon_biggrin.gif

lol, no - its just a new way that I will present the data - you will be categorized into leagues depending on how you performed in the previous season.

I will also be doing an overall top 10 table as well to depict the Eurovision Striking Contest as well.

As I said, it will be easily explainable once you see it!

4 goals in the opening game of the U19 Euro Champs and Derren Brown can't even manage top scorer for the tournament, have to say I'm pleased and slightly dissapointed at the same time. Hopefully he can push on into the Bologna 1st team and get his 1st full senior cap

I'm becoming increasingly worried that Jason Demir will become lost in the Ural mountains and remain in obscurity in the second tier of Russian football icon_frown.gif

He needs to start banging them in for the Kazakhs or get Ural promoted to attract some interest me thinks....

So its the newbies to Int football that steal the show. Pablo Gonzalez being the super sub, coming on in the 74th minute and scored in injury time to give the Swiss a 1-0 away win. Should have played in the Euros on this evidence!!!

A raft of minor injuries prevented the normal smaller nation players from taking part.

Not happy that i did not get a move away from the obscurity of the greek league,

Fingers crossed for the next transfer window.

However a goal on my debut for Albania, quality. Hopefully more to come from Van Smith with a nice group, so could score a couple more goals this season if im able to stay in the team.

Oi! I won't hear anything bad against the Greek leagues! I've managed to work my way up in the world over to the mighty AEK Athens! The futures looking... well, mediocre..
