January 2010 Transfer Window Update

Joo has signed a new 3 year contract with Sovetov worth £1.5m.

Bob Van Bob rejected contract offers from Roma, Barcelona and Valencia to join AC Milan in a £4.3m transfer.

Tom Healy has decided to join Reading from Stoke City in a £2.6m transfer.

Robert Dillon's contract with Kaiserlautern was due to expire at the end of June and as a result had received Bosman contracts from clubs including Napoli, Sunderland and Valladolid to agree terms with Getafe. He will join on July 1st.

Magnus Donaldson has signed a new 2 year contract with Ipswich worth £1.5m.

Brucie Bonus has signed a new contract with Anzhi.

Sneaky Ninja has decided to join Koln for £400k. He rejected offers from Frankfurt, Livorno and Anderlecht.

Benjas Kyriagkos has signed a new 4 year deal with Salzburg.

After bids from Bolton, Middlesborough, PSV and Inter Milan, Paddy O'Furniture has agreed to join Anderlecht in a £4.3m transfer.

However, I had to save the best for last. Alex Drew has rejected the offer of a new contract with Norwich, before on the last day of the transfer window deciding to re-join Southampton in a £1.5m transfer!!! icon_biggrin.gif

International friendlies on the 3rd February - should be able to get that update done tonight. icon14.gif

Well if there was still a chance before this month's games, then the competition looks pretty much all over now for the season. With Mike Bird and Croatia 46 points clear and with Croatia going to the World Cup in the summer then more goals are always a possibility.

The main other action was towards the bottom of the Premier Division. With several people not playing in February, the likes of Robert Dillon & Sneaky Ninja took full advantage with goals for both of them.

Magnus Donaldson also continued his very impressive form for Northern Ireland.

March 2010 News

Jim Alex has joined Steaua Bucharest from Poli Lasi for £3m. The deal could increase to a startling £13m subject to future performances!

Bob McBob has announced to the press that he wants a move away from Elche.

Jason Healy has turned down yet another contract offer from Bristol City. Yawn icon_wink.gif

Joo was due to move to Spartak Moscow for £7m, but the deal fell through.

The last round of games for most nations will take place at the end of March (apart from those going to the World Cup), so those in and around the relegation / promotion spots will be hoping for a super performance to aid / save their season.

As it stands at the moment, an amazing 6 people will be relegated from the Premier Division - 4 automatic and the 2 in the relegation playoff zone are losing on points to those in 4th / 5th in the Second Division. In fact, all those in the Premier League probably from Ulf Chaoc downwards probably need to be looking over their shoulders.

Bulgaria with Germany (ugh), Israel, Greece, Moldova, Azerbaijan, Albania. Our awful results in World Cup qualifying are at least giving us a shot at Euro 2012. Maybe that was the plan all along icon_biggrin.gif . Anyway, Suk=Yo Bum appears to have been promoted to the top Eurovision Soccer League where I'm sure he'll promptly be relegated.

KUTGW WW!

Hopefully Sneaky Ninja and Moldova give you guys in the Bulgarian mountains some good games, and maybe sneak a 2nd place... who knows!?

Just kidding... I know :[

I think you have a shot. Our defense conceded more than Liechtenstein did during WC qualifyers icon_confused.gif
