The Eurovision Striking Contest - The Battle Begins!

Recommended Posts

Pendros seems to be doing all he can to ruin his football career.. Not playing as he wants to move clubs, not signing a contract, lowest wages and lowest value...

I suppose he can always sell his two caps off on ebay if things get any worse..

A great month for Diego Polo, who broke the San Marino national goalscoring record thanks to a hattrick in the 4-4 against Kazakhstan. Due to this he receives 25 bonus points which pulls him to the top of the charts.

Tyler Burrows & Felix continue their impressive form this season, with Bosnia particularly looking good in their group.

Regular scorers Magnus Donaldson & Paddy O'Furniture continued their tradition and leapt into the top 5 in the Premier Division.

On a personal note, Brucie Bonus made his first appearance of the season and set up an injury time winner for Belarus against Armenia. icon_razz.gif

Not too bad for Brendan, 4th in the Premier Division and Liechtenstein got a win! Now if only I could start scoring more often then I might have a chance at the title ...

Also how close am I to Liechtenstein's goal scoring record?

Seems the Eurovision wonderkids were well represented in this game as jason Demir bagged two as well icon_cool.gif

A draw (albeit goaless) with Scotland too icon14.gif

Hopefully, I'll be bouncing straight back up to the Premier League!

Currently tied with Mario Frick, so need one more goal to break the record. icon14.gif

Thanks again for the great updates icon14.gif

Quick question - since the arrival of the Eurovision kids on the international scene, have any of the nations seen a drastic rise in their world ranking? It seems some of the smaller nations are picking up the odd win and draw thanks to their new stars and I was wondering if it has registered any effect. Cheers icon14.gif

3 appearances and 1 goal for Denmark. Finally Kapono gets his time. Signed a 5 year icon_eek.gif contract with Catania (bad part) for 10M icon_eek.gificon_eek.gif ( good part icon_biggrin.gif ) Shame we lost 2-1 to Scotland though, we could have gained a real advantage if it was a win icon13.gif 3 games for the first round of matches to complete and we have to face the favourites Spain, the overachieving Slovenia and a measly Estonia side. Steady updates make this the best topic in my eyes tbh WW, top notch icon14.gif

P.S: Does Nicklas Bendtner play with me up front or I'm sticking with some oldies?

Good question!

And birdy123 and aaberdeenn; don't worry, getting 2 caps and then nothing and not playing for your clubs just as annoying icon_smile.gif

Lol, well just keep praying;

I won't reveal who the top CA person is, but I will tell you that they have yet to receive an Int Cap yet!

And you are German... icon_smile.gif

In fact, Kapono is more of a super sub.

Bendtner plays up on his own as Denmark deploy to wide men a la Chelsea of a couple of years back. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>

This was the answer I was expecting but a wide tactic with Bendtner up front alone? Man, Denmark is losing some serious attacking power icon_wink.gif

Serbia have also dropped down a fair bit of late (currently 62nd).

Now surely the manager can't ignore that, please call up Derren Brown icon_mad.gif

On the plus side with Arthur Li gone to Juve looks like Derren has got less competition at Bologna

Thanks for the info WW. Interesting to see Bosnia and Malta so high up. I generally find Montenegro climb up high in all my games as they are a new member of FIFA so they started at the bottom for that reason (rather than being crap icon_biggrin.gif)

If last month was a landmark for Diego Polo, then this month was a landmark for Brendan Petersen, who broke the Liechtenstein national scoring record and with it moved to the top of the charts.

All credit to Mini Saville though, who despite not having these 25 bonus points is still in touch with the leaders after scoring again in November.

Elsewhere, congratulations to Adam Moxon who made his debut for Sweden during the month, in the 2-1 defeat against Scotland. icon14.gif
