Stfc mason
Approaching the end of my first season at Arsenal and this is the state of play in terms of competitions. Since this image I won the first leg against Benfica 1-0 Below is what in my opinion my strongest team is, although I do like to rotate often between Ozil and Fekir and also Nielson and Walcott. All 4 have been very good. Transfers are below. Busy summer window Two ins already confirmed for the next season. The board gave me a £101 million transfer budget to play with so these two took up the bulk of that. The two signings mean that I am now stupidly overstocked in attacking midfield. So there are likely to be at the very least two casualties- I think I will sell Iwobi ( Man City are interested) and also try and drum up interest for Ramsey. Has anyone had any experienced with Timo Horn? Need a replacement for Cech when he inevitably retires.

Isco was actually listed for £33 mill but at the time I couldn't afford him by the time I got my new budgets his asking price went up to £63 million. The negotiating was a bit tedious but I think its a very good deal. Iwobi just hasn't played enough for me this season- Man City keep bidding £7 million for him which of course I am not going to accept. So selling him is going to be tough. Iwobi is doing real good in my save. im using him as a cup player. and rotation on my squad. As you know, arsenal have a very injury proneness player Selling him on my 3rd season for 70M With Ramsey, same path, used him as a cup player. a decent lad, not gonna gain a highlight though. manage to sell him for 60M on my 3rd season. My opinion, i think you should offload those two on a high price. surely not 7M!! use them for a season and the price will rise. Sysiphus
My senior squad's season is going horribly wrong but at least Kwame Ampadu's squad is doing well; retaining the u23's title. Trae Coyle the best man in the league, and I think there is something about him, he could become a back-up for Nelson. Think I'll send him out on a loan next season if I find a good club for him. Swills417
Currently in the January 2018 transfer window and have conducted a number of deals to freshen up the squad similar to real life developments. Sitting 3rd in the table behind Chelsea and Manchester City. From preseason onwards I have worked towards making some of the players more familiar to usual roles. A few of these have been effective, some not so much. The notably example of deploying Alexis as a shadow striker who struck eleven times before the transfer window where he refused a new contract and was moved on. League leaders at the time Chelsea came in with a deal for up to £38m. A flurry of offers followed this with Xhaka, Elneny, Giroud and Mustafi coming close to leaving the club. PSG registered an interest in signing Kolasinac. Eyeing up there squad for potential Sanchez replacements I settled in Di Maria. He arrived in a £30m plus Kolasinac deal. I promised him the league title this season, champions league winner next season and first choice on penalties and free kicks. So far he has registered 4 goals in 6 games, with a penalty miss against Tottenham. Mixed performances so far with 6.1 and 5.7 against Manchester City and Tottenham. Alexis Sanchez has contributed 3 assists and 1 red card for Chelsea so far. Also joining was Chris Kramer from BMG for £19.5m with Welbeck going on loan to them for the rest of the season. He made an impressive start so far with strong displays as our main defensive midfielder. Mario Gomez was a luxury signing as I’ve always wanted to manage him on this game. That 19 in off the ball movement, 18 in anticipation and 17 finishing would of led to a lot of goals with Ozil and Di Maria creating plenty of chances for him. He scored twice in three games before damaging his Achilles tendon and being ruled out for 3-5 months. Hopefully, he doesn’t regress to far with his injury and he can feature next season. Coquelin went on loan in the opposite direction as a make weight in the loan. The rest of the transfers in and out were promising youngsters and a number of playing leaving on loan. I set up in a 4-2-3-1 DM asymmetric formation inspired by a tactic in this thread. The structured and be more disciplined team instruction enable us to be more defensively secure (4th best defence in league) and allow our creative players freedom to create chances (127 chances created in the league – league best!). Currently starting Jeff as he has shown impressive form as no one has quite made the inside forward position on the left their own since Iwobi’s early season form was interrupted by injury. Santi Cazorla returned from Injury to feature intermittently but has picked up a small injury since. I’ve also given game time Josh Da Silva as left back, Bielik, Pleguezuelo amongst many others. I plan to try and promote from within as many players as possible. In the rest of the game a number of things have occurred. Spain sacked their manager after failing to qualify for the world cup. Knocked out by a Dzeko goal over two legs. Rafa Benitez has since taken the helm. Chelsea are currently unbeaten in the league despite losing Hazard to PSG in a £140m deal. They have done superb business signing Laporte, Perisic and obviously Alexis Sanchez for £125m combined. Manchester City bizarrely signed Troy Deeney and resigned Balotelli - both yet to score. All the usual suspects are chasing titles in europes top league with RBL leading the German first division. Will update when the season approaches its end. Sysiphus
Great debut by Dasilva, who reassured me that a GK on the bench is an unnecessity by playing 30 minutes in the frame without conceding. Just started a new game with the official update. Disabled transfer budget in the first window. Completely revamped the staff personnel though, as I see that as being important to Arsenal's revitalisation in real life. I'll probably look to sign players that are linked with us right now, because there are so many of them that many are generally exciting; the likes of Lafont, Leno, Odriozola, Malcom, Doucoure, Rugani, Gimenez and more. Going for the simple things (formation and TI) right now after having failed pre-patch with a three-at-the-back formation. Also like the idea of a new manager stabilizing this squad after the instability for the last years of Wenger's tenure. Wenger has been rocking between 3-4-3 and 4-2-3-1 this season at the expense of player satisfaction in my opinion, as nobody in defence or midfield seems to recognize their role anymore. Easier games: Difficult away games: TI can vary game by game of course and I tend to tweak it a lot in game in relation to the scoreline.

I reckon it’s a combination of play narrower and stick to positions. You have some formidable players in defence also! Chelsea, in my save first season conceded only 8 goals in 30 league games in my save. Will attempt to replicate this somewhat in my second season. Trialed a very structured, narrow and deep 5-2-3 in an home game against Galatasaray. Lost that game thanks to a deep cross that had Mertersacker backpedaling.
