prienaiball
In the summer transfer window I successfully managed to get the work permit for Lautaro Matinez on appeal , but then decided to cancel the transfer, because I needed a centre-back more. Now in the January transfer window I'm not able to get the work permit for the player. How do the conditions change, or does something change with the player? Because my thinking was, that if the same player managed to get the work permit in the summer, he should be able to get it in January as well. mattskelding
If there have been international games he’s not played in between the summer and January, his international percentage will go down which may explain why he’s been refused a work permit
Baodan
There's usually a guideline in the league rules that elaborates on the requirements for a work permit.
FrazT
It is likely to be what @mattskelding has said or a change in the WP conditions.
SI Staff Luke Rumble Posted July 18, 2018 SI Staff Share Posted July 18, 2018 International games is probably the most likely cause of this but @prienaiball have you also had Brexit happen in your game? This could have changed the conditions for granting work permits.
michaeltmurrayuk
Also if you are playing in England then the appeal works on a points system largely based on how much you are paying for him and paying him - so if the averages went up or you offered less in Jan then he may have lost the points needed for a work permit and as @Baodan says check the league rules on the league table screen and it will show you exactly what is required for a work permit.
