dooro23
Hey guys, I intend on buying FM as well as FMT (ios). Is there any smart way to do it together, or does it not matter? I know the FM/FMT(steam) thing, but that ofc doesnt apply here. Cheers!
Administrators Lucas Posted November 2, 2018 Administrators Share Posted November 2, 2018 They are sold on separate stores so bundles aren't possible
Mooti
If I buy fmt on the apple store for my iPad would I also be able to use it on my imac (also via the App Store). Or is it only available through steam for the iMac?
Administrators Lucas Posted November 3, 2018 Administrators Share Posted November 3, 2018 Only available through Steam on Mac computers. The Touch app for iOS would be separate than the one for the Mac - there's no such thing as being able to use iOS apps on your Mac.
Mooti
Thanks Lucas. I guess, like many, I’m a bit frustrated that there’s no way around buying fm twice if you want to play on iPad and Mac. A steam voucher code (after buying on iPad) could surely be an easy work around? Or making the game available on MacOS so my Apple ID allows an iPad download? Hope they figure something out soon... Apple wouldn't allow this. 9 minutes ago, Mooti said: Or making the game available on MacOS so my Apple ID allows an iPad download? Apple don't allow you to use iPad or iPhone apps on MacOS. Only way this will change is if Apple, Steam and Google merge.
Mooti
Thanks for the insight! So is SI not able to directly contact their ‘customers’ through their Apple ID emails (to send a code). Or could it not be an in game feature (like an in game email) to a new manager?
Administrators Lucas Posted November 3, 2018 Administrators Share Posted November 3, 2018 No, that doesn't even sound GDPR compliant anyway.
Mooti
If every copy of the mobile game is randomly and anonymously linked to a steam code I’m sure it could pass. But I don’t know much about this area at all, just clutching at straws really 😉
