warlock Posted December 21, 2018 Share Posted December 21, 2018 I think the old 'retain possession' had a lot of hidden knock-on effects. If you want to retain possession you can try shorter passing, lower tempo, less risky roles and TIs, dribble less, maybe more roaming (you need players in space) and any combination of those. In broader terms, a cautious mentality will - not surprisingly - be more risk-averse than positive or attacking mentalities. Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
