If you disagree that's fine - a forum is for expressing opinions. However, I take exception to my opinion being labelled stupid - it's very disrespectful Iacovone.

Apologies, it was an unnecessary comment.

Champions League Update

Group Game 2

vs Bayern Munich (a)

Well we're only just starting to get our key players back from injury so this was even more satisfying. We were predicted to lose to Bayern by the media but we blew them away 3-0, all goals in the first half! Rotunno (2) and Badini with the goals. Bayern also got their Turkish striker Mehmet sent off in the 1st half making the 2nd half far easier. Unfortunately the worst news that came from the win was Tommaso Cilona's injury :(. He's done his hip and will have to see a specialist for 2 months :thdn:

didn't expect to come in today on the back of a 'cheating' storm!! IMO, i was always slightly dubious, but was trying to give benefit of doubt. I do agree that we were lacking screenshots which do make it suspicious. and the way you have quickly abandoned the game max doesn't do you too many favours... i'd have stuck up for myself a little more.

BUT i will give you the benefit of the doubt as you a 'veteran' of the thread to an extent and so i look forward to yuour new game. one piece of advice though - PLENTY OF SCREENSHOTS AND SEASON REVIEWS!! ;)

congrats iacovone - any opinions on my season review?? ;)

RaZoR bLaDe - welcome to the challenge. Spain is a great league. don't be afraid to manage a different club. IMO you only need a team with a decent bank balance and a decent sized ground. that and wheeling-and-dealing should see you ok!!

Notwordsbutdeeds - sorry to see you go but i understand your position. hope to see you back one day.

Well my team certainly doesn't have a large ground just a measly 2000 seater but a 75k bank balnce isn't too bad i suppose

rlipscombe - I've firstly got to congratulate you on a great season - 6th is a superb debut in the top flight. Perhaps even more impressive was defeating both Barca and Real at home! Did you lose at home during the season? You're only 30 points behind the big two, that'll be easy to make up :p

Palacios was a brilliant find at just 500k . And I can understand how Joaquin won Fans POY - its rare to see a keeper get a seasonal average rating of over 7 on my file! Maybe I need a new keeper....

Great to see the King still going strong - what a legend! Like the look of Munoz as well - a great prospect! Gorrotxategi is like your very own Rotunno!! Though my guy's plateaued a little...yours is awesome, great goalscoring record, particularly to beat Huntelaar, Aguero and Villa!!

Good luck in Europe

cheers. 6th was way beyond my dreams, especially in December. As for losing home games, we did at start of year. The change in formation definately made all the difference. We were never conceding that many goals, but it made us even more miserly. Not sure how many lost in 2nd half (1 or 2 as i say) but last 5 home games were all wins. I'm sure i'll never beat the big 2 in same season again!!

Palacios was a bargain. i remember when i bought him it was almost all my transfer budget and i nearly pulled out of deal. glad i didn't!! The King is indeed a legend. i can't believe he's still doing the business, especially after his troubles in the 2011-12 season when he couldn't score for toffee. we shall see if he can do it again!!

Munoz is a great little player. already courting bids from Zaragoza - he's going nowhere. And as for Gorrotxategi, what can i say? IF i can keep him, he'll eclipse the King. He's very happy still at moment. And as you say to beat the array of striking talent in Spain, incredible.

As for pre-season, it's been pretty quiet at the moment. i'm trimming the squad getting rid of players who aren't in contention for the squad, making a bit of money. Most are decent players - it's just that they've been overtaken in terms of ability. Canales is one such player - sold for £1 million. Denis is also on way out most likely. Not many players in as yet, except for usual Spanish youth prospects and a19 year-old Irish forward to keep your eye on - His name is Michael Dixon. i'll provide a screenshot later but he could be a bargain at £60k. I've tracked him for last 18 months and is rated as good, if not better than Gorro in terms of potential....

I'm Savona in Italy. Currently in my 17th season of a long hard slog.

How long did it take you to reach Serie B Iacovone?

didn't expect to come in today on the back of a 'cheating' storm!!

LOL it's the BBCs top story

Notwordsbutdeeds - sorry to see you go but i understand your position. hope to see you back one day.

I might be back sooner than expected  Just came across Viterbese, hadn't noticed them before; very tempting.

I'm off to a good start with Ivrea, so I may keep that, or an old Inter save, handy - just for a couple of confidence boosting wins when the going gets tough, if I decide to renew the struggle in Serie C2. The thing about Voghera was, I was certainly going to get relegated - that's ok when you're not in the bottom tier; but when you are you're just wasting time because your game will be over (if that makes sense ).

Well my Fafe game is on hold as I want my computer repaired under warranty (Now thinking of just getting it done by someone else), but I was sitting in 4th in the Liga Sagres following 10 seasons of slow building.

Razor I would suggest checking out the 'Tactics Bible' thread, for tactics tips TT&F is the best tips thread, and also which players to pick on their stats. generally only bring them in on frees to start with. Then slowly start spending small amounts of money on them. Also focus on physical stats in the lowest leagues, then after that you can work on the rest.

Des, time to cut your ties with Acer. I don't think you would want to keep waiting any longer. :p

Now please don't jinx me, because I have some important work on my comp...and I was already paranoid enough about the April Fools virus... :p

I can afford it next wednesday no matter how much it costs. Just frustrates me that I ****ed around with the Warranty stuff for so long.

most of us think that a warranty is a good idea. or it should be. Mental note to all gamers - never buy Acer!!
