Northernpilgrim
Just now, kevhamster said: Any clue why? None whatsoever. I thought I had a solution in sending him out on loan to one of our affiliates, RFC Liege, but the stupid **** rejected the contractĀ
Northernpilgrim
The Champions League draw has been made, and it's difficult to see how this could have been any harder. I think we'll have to settle for a Europa League place, and we might not even get that
Northernpilgrim
At least I managed a temporary solution to the 'John problem'. The French transfer window was still open, and he's been loaned top AS Monaco
Northernpilgrim
An unbeaten, but very frustrating start to the season as an 80th minute equaliser from SPAL which was their first of only two shots on target against us, and an 89th minute penalty for Milan cost us 4 points that would have seen us finish the month top. I can't help but think that if we'd had John between the sticks, we'd have won both games. I'm not sure if I'll be at Atalanta much longer
karanhsingh
how many non eu players do you have? the rules in Italy are very complicated I think you have to free up a non eu slot by selling one of them outside of Italy to register John

Northernpilgrim
September was perfect in Serie A, and we did brilliantly to come back from 3-0 down against Real Madrid, but couldn't repeat the trick against a rampant PSG who overran us in the first half The improvement in league form has seen us move into the top four and our hopes of finishing third in our Champions League group hang on back-to-back games with Benfica over the next two months, beginning with a trip to Ćstadio da Luz. With the top two facing back to back games against each other, second place could be out of reach before I face either of them again
Northernpilgrim
A solid, but not spectacular October and although we're in the top four, defeat to Juventus and dropping points to Palermo in a game we bossed from, start to finish, sees a gap open at the top but the win over Benfica in the Champions League means that if we beat them again, we'll be assured of at least third place and Europa League football after Christmas
Northernpilgrim
November was terrible and has cost us our top four place but as long as we match Benfica's result in our final Champions League game, we'll be in the Europa League after Christmas
Northernpilgrim
December was better and we are back in the top four and we are indeed going into the Europa League in the new year
Northernpilgrim
January was perfect in competitive games, the only blemish was a draw in a friendly and we are securely back inside the top four Ā
Northernpilgrim
We didn't make any signings in January (had several offers turned down for both permanent and loan signings), but we did see a few players leave
Northernpilgrim
We won five out of eight games in all competitions in February. Not bad at all, considering that three of those eight were against Juventus, and one of the two defeats was a Europa League second leg which we had all but put to bed in the first leg. The Napoli defeat was one of those games where the opposition score early (after 2 minutes this time) and then hold on. We banged on the door for 88 minutes, but couldn't find a way through. and that leaves us in third place, 8 points clear of the Europa League spots. Barring a disaster, Bergamo should be hosting Champions League football again next season
Northernpilgrim
I applied for the vacant Milan job in February, and they have got back to me. My board were not willing to help out by reducing the compensation

Northernpilgrim
A very nearly perfect April, the only game we didn't win was the first leg against Liverpool, and we managed to overturn that in the second leg and that has got us into a three way title battle, although we're the outsiders of the three Ā
Northernpilgrim
I think the season went on a month too long, as May was disappointing although we did win my first trophy with Atalanta and we ended the season in a really pleasing third place

Northernpilgrim
September was nearly perfect, and we got an early red card in the game we didn't win but the two dropped points didn't cost us top spot and we lead our Champions League group too
Northernpilgrim
We had a perfect October which leaves us 6 points clear in La Liga and we've qualified from our Champions League group with two games still to play. Group of death? Pah!!
Northernpilgrim
Our unbeaten start continued through November and we remain top of La Liga If we win or draw away at Man Utd, we'll go through as group winners, anything less will see us finish second.Ā
Northernpilgrim
December saw my first defeat as Barcelona boss, although not in La Liga where we extend our advantage to nine points, although we've played a game more than Real Sociedad and 15 points from our 6 Champions League games wasn't enough to top the group, so we finish runners up to Manchester United
