Northernpilgrim
Our reward for topping our group? A second round game against Germany. If I lose this, I'll be out of a job, but if I win it, we'll have a hell of a chance to win the tournament. Here are the teams Wow, just wow. Wasn't expecting this

Northernpilgrim
Our opponents in the final are Switzerland, after they pulled off a shock win over Holland in the semi final. Northernpilgrim
Here are the teams and we won my first match in charge which leaves us topping the early table. Portugal play at home to Germany next, before we face Portugal and Germany at Wembley, finishing the group away in Portugal. If Germany don't get something from that game in Portugal, they'll be facing an uphill battle to avoid relegation.

Northernpilgrim
Here are the lineups for the Finland game and although we won 4-1, I'm disappointed not to have got a clean sheet, as it was their only shot of any description in the entire match

Northernpilgrim
We lost the first game of April, but went on to win the rest securing promotion to the Championship ending the month 9 clear of third place, and 7 behind Doncaster, who go up as Champions

Northernpilgrim
Our final match of the season was pretty much a non event and that left the League 1 table looking like this. Tranmere's last day 3-1 win at Yeovil, aligned with Chesterfield's 0-0 draw at Crewe, saw those two swap places. Carlisle's win at Exeter wasn't enough to secure safety, as Northampton inflicted defeat on Champions Northampton at The Keepmoat Stadium. So, Argyle prepare for life in the Championship for the first time since the 2025/26 season, and England prepare for a Nations League semi with Holland. Will they erect a statue of me at Wembley? Only time will tell.
Northernpilgrim
Here are my Argyle squad's statistics for the season We had the best pass completion rate in League 1, which bodes well for the Championship, as does being League 1's third highest scorers Warren Butler was second in the Golden Boot and Man of the Match tables, whilst our keeper Richard Parkinson was second in clean sheets. Although not shown here, he was also third lowest for goals conceded.

Northernpilgrim
We then faced Italy in the third place playoff, lining up like this and despite the stats being pretty similar to the Holland game, this time, we ran out comfortable winners
Northernpilgrim
Preseason results were, apart from the Crewe game, very encouraging and I made a massive 10 new signings, with just two players leaving Which left the squad for our first season back in the Championship looking like this
Northernpilgrim
Just had a report showing the wage expenditure for Championship clubs. We're bottom (by some distance) Edited October 13, 2019 by Northernpilgrim
Northernpilgrim
We got off to a steady start in the Championship, and there were wins in the Carabao Cup too. The Fulham result looks bad, but we were reduced to 10 men 1 minute after we had levelled the scores at 1-1 and that left us in mid table, 2 points off the playoffs, 3 points above relegation

Northernpilgrim
September was steady rather than spectacular for Argyle and I felt we deserved a point from the Ipswich game, as neither side did enough to win the game although we remain a top half team, but face Swansea City at Home Park next
