Thought i'd start this as  a place to share  players found for the Vanarama Leagues.

First player found was this guy, who the coaches say could play in the championship in future! Signed on a free.

Playing as Dulwich Hamlet again. I had pretty much a full squad clearout at the beginning of the game and signed a bunch of freebies. Not sure that will work again if I start a new save after launch, always find it a little easier to sell on and sign players during Beta. Here's who I've picked up:

GK - Luka Nakov. Really decent young keeper, got him on low wages too

DR - Kevin Foley. Getting on, is nearly 35 when the game starts, but very good attributes. Already getting updates that he's on the decline, so will only be good for a season I'd imagine

DR - Joshua Webb. Solid but unspectacular young defender who will sign on very low wages

DR - Alex Pike. Wasn't able to sign this guy as his wage demands were pretty high, but looks a really good player at this level

DL - Tyler Brown. Good all round defender who can fill in at CB in a pinch

DC - Mic'hel Parker. Bit low on stamina, but otherwise a very good, two footed defender with decent first touch and passing

DC - Ali Omar. Another good all round defender. Good physical stats

DC - Jack Cowgill. Respectable squad player who will sign on very low wages

MC - Mark McKee. Fairly certain I wouldn't be able to sign this guy if I tried after launch. My AssMan rates him as playing L2 level. And I'm only paying him £250 a week! Superb athletic midfielder, can play most roles pretty well. Is also natural at AM position too

MC - Liam Bellamy. Useful squad player on low wages. Good Teamwork, Workrate and Stamina

MC - Matt Carter. Decent squad player, 2 footed and with a good long range strike

MC - Darren Oldaker. Signed this guy toward the end of August, another player who I don't think will come to Dulwich once the Beta is over. Another L2 level player, is an excellent Advanced Playmaker. Superb Passing, Vision and Free Kicks

MC - Aiden Mesias. Missed out on this guy, worth checking out

AML - Khalid Simmo. Missed out on this guy too, also worth checking out

AML/R - Tobias Hayles-Docherty. Good pace, is a natural on either wing

AML/R - Nathan Clements. Another versatile player, is natural on either wing or up top. Really good Dribbling, Passing and Off the Ball

ST - Alasane Meite. Low Stamina and Determination, but otherwise a really good young striker. Is currently my top goalscorer

You are welcome folks! What other non-league bargains have people uncovered?

Darren Oldaker is great, I would definitely  recommend him, but the standout player for me has been Jordan Cox, an AMR who is rated as a L1 player halfway through my first season in Van South. He’s also my leading goal scorer and assister...

Signed a couple of handy former Norwich youth guys for my Tonbridge side, both on non-contract terms:

Devonte Aransibia (MC, AMRLC) and Aaron Ekumah (DC).

Bilal Kamal is another promising youth released by Norwich. I play him as an attacking right back but he can also play in central midfield.

Nick Okoro - a striker formerly of Birmingham. Good enough for most Conference National teams with high potential.

Gideon Adu-Peprah - a superb left back, formerly of Man City and Newcastle.

Will Patching - former Man City youth, a really solid playmaker in either the MC or AMC positions.

Here are the players I have signed in my save so far as Chester, so one of the top teams in VNL which may skew your ability to sign of course.
Almost all the players were signed on frees so in season 2/3 they were available as and when clubs release them...

Season 1: (Conf North)
Jack Cowgill - DC - Will get you through Conf North and be ok in National but not a top National player.
Matt Carter - MC - Couldnt get in my team even in Conf North
Joshua Webb - DR - Similar to Cowgill, saw us through the Conf North but had to start dropping him quite a bit in the National

Season 2: (Conf National, freshly promoted)
Joe Lynch - MC - great different option
Kwame Thomas - ST - seemed to develop a partnership by the end of the season, perhaps low adaptability or something as he took a while to get going, but I was trying him as a winger a lot rather than a striker at first.
Kyle MacFarlane - ST - couldnt really get him going
Erico Sousa- ML/R - decent player -be wary of international duty though
Luke McCullough - MC - didnt break into the team
David Agbontohoma - DC - squad player but probably not first choice if you want to win the div.
Dion Kelly-Evans - DR - decent going forward but a little bit unreliable going back
Joe Bateman - MC - the coaches didnt like him but I thought he was a decent squad option
James Jones - DC - solid defender
George Cox - DL - similar to Dion, good going forward, bit of a liability at the back
Shamar Moore - ST - just get this guy!
Dion McGhee - good quality winger
Luca Ercolani - DC -  get him too!

Season 3 (Conf National again, after a failed playoff)
Daniel Lowey - LB - solved the defensive issues
Michael Kennedy - LB - decent when called upon but couldnt get Lowey and cox out the pecking order
Joe Lewis - DC - not that impressed with him but decent enough
Jack Hunter - DM - Solid player, easy to poach from Blyth when you are a div above.
Luke Maxwell - DM - even better than Hunter but I had to pay £45k comp for him - not sure if I just messed up and should have waited for him to get released.
Issac SInclair - AML/R - similar to Jack hunter, easy to nick from a div below - great winger
Manasse Mampala - ST - good player, stats seem better than Moore but he didnt quite out perform.

I started unemployed and got a job managing Braintree in the National South. They have some very good players for this level - enough to get promoted first season.

Femi Akinwande - the pick of the bunch. Beast of a striker who ended up top scorer. Killing it in the division above as well

Jason Banton - 5star LW. A little inconsistent but on his day destroys teams on his own. Seems to enjoy big matches and he tore it up in the playoffs.

Byron Lawrence - he was at the club on loan when I arrived. Not sure if he starts there. Plays amazing as a carrilerlo and is a bit of a set piece specialist.

Notable signings:

Phillipe : a Brazilian free agent. Plays from the left or behind the striker. I like to think of him as my Coutinho. Plays best from the bench and is still cutting it on the National League.

Ngoo - a 6ft7 striker who can also play on the wings. Ex Liverpool youth who is now in Albania. Very good impact sub off the bench. I had him on loan from January, he was available for free after that as his contract expired but he wasn't interested in negotiations.

Mark McKee - he's mentioned above but he's worth mentioning again, his stats are way too good for this level. He's a natural box to box midfielder, however I seem to be getting more out of him recently as a mezzala.

Alex Palmer - My big signing after promotion. A freebie goalkeeper from West Brom. He's probably good enough for the professional leagues. Costs a fortune but I had to have him.

Thought I'd chuck these in here as they helped me win the National League at a canter with Notts County (albeit we were expected too) and the L2 title the following season.

Jimmy Mas (RB) - Honestly, this lad is a rock, never let me down and chips in with assists. Work horse down the right for me. Can see him staying with us and playing in the Prem (has the potential too).

Joe Muscatt (LB) - Again, solid FB (played him as WB on attack). Loves to get up and down the wing and whip a ball in!

Charlie Oliver (CB) - Monster, leader, set piece threat, throws his body on the line, need I say more?! Loves to carry the ball out of defence (which I love in my CB's).

Francesco Di Nolfo (AMR/L) - Played 1st season as an IW on attack from AMR and was 2nd top scorer for us. Switched to winger on support (AML) 2nd season and still chipped in with 10+ goals. Can play both wings with great natural fitness.

Thomas Oualembo (ST) - Top scorer in National League and League 2. Broke Notts County's scoring record for most goals in a single season. Struggled to adapt for a few months in L2 but still ended up being top scorer in league. 47 goals in 77 games

Marco Ramkilde (ST) - 12 goals in 18 games as Oulaembo's understudy. Got injured 2nd season for 6 months and hasn't been the same, shame really.

Also signed Ricardo Campos, Martin Onoabhagbe and Joe Coveney that helped us out (not so much in L2).

All signed on a free, with Oulaembo the highest wages at 1k a week. Now, I know Notts County rep is high for a non-league team so some of these may not want to join but I'd try any ways, all way too good for the National League!

Leon Maloney I got for my Wrexham team at the start of the first season for 14k (in installments) from Portsmouth. He's RW and has the potential to be a championship winger and on arrival was a leading player in the national league. He was even in the dream starting 11 in the season preview.

I signed Thomas Oualembo who has been mentioned on a previous post and can confirm he's amazing, scored 20 the first season in an average team but my second season when I was promoted he scored 40 goals in 46 games. He will not sign a contract and wants to leave but nobody has met his release clause of 1.9million even though theres 20 odd clubs after him.

Just started a new save with Crewe, I am doing a mostly youth save but I am hoping to sign Thomas Oualembo so will let you know if he can play in League 2.

Can confirm that Thomas Oualembo can bang in goals all the way up to the Championship. He eventually ran his contract down with me at Notts County, moved to Bologna and banged in 20 in Serie A for them.

Yeah he has got 6 goals in 11 games for me so far so I am happy with the returns so far.

Might be jumping the gun with this lad.

Devon Arnold of Yeovil Town looks an excellent prospect for the Vanarama leagues.

When I arrived at Yeovil from Braintree he was already out on loan at Truro, where he scored 12 goals in 18 appearances for the Southern League Premier outfit. For the start of 2020/21 the wage budget needed to be cut so, for me, he would feature in the first team. So far 9 goals in 9 appearances.

Report has him as operating at Vanarama National level, with the potential to be a League Two striker.

A small fast striker with decent finishing, first touch needs to be improved but nonetheless looks an excellent prospect in the Vanarama's - League 2.

Lewis Archer. He’s a striker I’ve had at Altrincham from the Vanarama North up to League 2. His attributes won’t blow you away but you can see he has goals in him.

I left the team midway through the 21/22 season but returned late in the 22/23 season to save them from relegation. Archer didn’t play great for the AI manager but you can see he’s tearing it up for me this season.

Archer is effective as an advanced forward but I like him even better as a pressing forward on support (he’s a good passer, pair him with a poacher).

There's an excellent Irish striker available on a free at the start of the game, Jamie Gray. A former Stevenage youth player and he will go to most Conference South sides.

(He doesn't appear to have had a real life club for 12 months but highly rated prospects that get released often seem to be forgotten about in terms of data, so they remain highly rated and unattached when each version comes out.)

Think he must have been injured on mine as he hasn't developed at all, here he is on mine two years older and nowhere that level.

Kian Yari, Iranian young attacking central midfielder. Can play in striker too. Can operate well up to League One level. I got him for Curzon Ashton in Vanarama North and still use him in League Two.

William Carvalho, signed him from a team in league beneath North/South. Used him in thd National League and seems like a solid right winger who can provide plenty of assists and notched up 8 goals on wing for us.

Connor Stanley from Manchester United. Another winger was released when we were promoted to National League. Can perform at League One level too.

Signed Connor Stanley on a free start of my second season for Yeovil Town.

Don't have the stats to hand but Stanley has been very good for my Yeovil side playing as a right winger (MR). Myles Hippolyte has been exceptional on the left wing as well, 10 goals and 9 assists after 24 National League games.

I've had Dante Baptiste and Levi Laing from Arsenal kids since National League days and were still cutting it in the Championship 10 years later. Laing has now Retired, but Baptiste is still my first choice and I'm in the play offs in the championship. He has only missed 6 league games in 9 years...

Umberto Otranto. Easily the best player I've had in LLM, since I started playing FM some 12 years ago. Maintained a 7.4+ avg rating every season over 7 years, until we reached the Premier League.
Absolute gem of a player. At work right now, I'll try to get a screenshot when I get home.

Can not recommend him enough. Trust me.
