Stuniverse
10 November 2024 STUNIVERSE ON TOTTENHAM LINKS The Bhoys: After Celtic manager Stuniverse managed his team to an 11th Premiership win on the spin at Easter Road against his former club Hibernian, we caught up with him about reports in the media linking him with a move to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The Bhoys: Congratulations on a superb 3-0 victory on your former stomping ground Easter Road. Stuniverse: Thank you. I had a very enjoyable and successful season working here with Hibernian and it's always a pleasure to come back to Easter Road where I've always been made to feel very welcome. The Bhoys: With reports in the media that you're about to become the next Tottenham Hotspur manager, are Celtic about to be added to the list of your former employers? Stuniverse: Look, I can't control what the media report nor where they get their stories from. What I can tell you is that, yes, there is a managerial vacancy at Tottenham Hotspur but I have not applied for the job and there's been no contact or approach from the powers that be at Tottenham. I'm under contract to Celtic Football Club until the end of May 2027. The Bhoys: You were under contract to Falkirk as well when you moved to Hibs and you were also under contract at Hibs when you left them to come here. Stuniverse: True. But on both of those occasions I moved clubs during the summer. I have never left a club mid-season. The Bhoys: The bookmakers have you as 5-2 favourite to be appointed the next Spurs manager. Stuniverse: I honestly don't know where they get their information from or how they come up with those odds. Just to be clear, I have not applied for the job and there's been no contact from Tottenham at all. The Bhoys: There’s normally no smoke without fire. In case you haven't heard, Spurs drew 0-0 with Chelsea today and have dropped into the relegation zone. If Tottenham were to make an official approach for you, are you interested in becoming the next Spurs manager? Stuniverse: Look, this is all hypothetical at the moment: I have not applied for the Spurs job and there's been no contact from Tottenham whatsoever. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm late for the team coach back to Glasgow. Edited June 5, 2020 by Stuniverse

Stuniverse
13 November 2024 TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR JOB INTERVIEW Stanley Baryla (Stuniverse's Agent): We seem to have succeeded in keeping your interview out of the media. How did it go? Stuniverse: I'm not sure to be honest. Jordan Rae-Harding (Director) seemed to like that my teams play entertaining football, but he didn't consider Celtic anywhere near as big a club as Tottenham and he was concerned that I'd never managed anywhere other than Scotland. Stuniverse
18 November 2024 TOTTENHAM APPOINT NEW MANAGER The Bhoys: Tottenham Hotspur have appointed Anderlecht manager Pascal Dupraz as their new manager with immediate effect. Stuniverse was the early favourite with the bookmakers to become the next Tottenham Hotspur manager but, ultimately, the Spurs hierarchy opted for Pascal Dupraz. Not sure what you could have done without really shutting up shop in all those games either. Thank you, @Tajerio. I have to agree with you about Man Utd and PSG. Across the four games, I tried just about everything, different formations / systems, different playing mentalities, and we even had more possession in some of the encounters. Ultimately, I think they simply had more quality than we did... and that's an incredibly difficult gulf to bridge given my commitment to transition to a Scottish / British-Irish squad. I've been wondering about 3rd place qualifying for Europa but I've not been able to find anything in the rules about it. I guess we'll find out for sure after the final Group game against Olympiakos and their whopping -37 goal difference from five games. Mind you, ours is -9. Yes, indeed. I was the bookies favourite as soon as they sacked their previous manager. The Spurs fans thought I was a ‘leading candidate’. Despite not applying for the job, nor declaring interest in the job, I was invited for an interview. Stuniverse
QUESTION - ANY IDEAS HOW I CAN KEEP MY BREAKTHROUGH PROSPECT FIT? Paddy McKee, a 19 year-old newgen, is meant to be Celtic's breakthrough player this season, after knocking on the door and impressing last season. In fact, I changed from the 4-4-2 of last season, to the 4-2-3-1 of this season, in part so that I could select an extra midfielder in the starting 11 which would allow me to include Paddy McKee and give him plenty of playing time. My problem is, I can't keep him fit. Paddy got injured early in pre-season and then wasn't fit to play until the season was underway. Now, it seems, every time I pick him, he picks up another niggling injury. Any ideas? Edited June 7, 2020 by Stuniverse
Stuniverse
Saturday 7th December 2024 Pre-match v Rangers (N) - Betfred Cup Final Match Preview The Bhoys: Last season you did us proud, beating Rangers four times out of four in the Premiership, but you lost the most important Old Firm derby of them all, losing in the Scottish Cup Final. Can you assure us that this time you're going to beat the auld enemy and win the trophy? Stuniverse: I can't promise you we're going to win but I can assure you that we've been doing everything we could this week to give us the best chance of lifting the Betfred Cup and that's what we're determined to do. Last season the Scottish Cup Final was our last game in a very long season. We played 59 games last campaign, 38 in the league and 21 in the cup competitions. When we analysed the season in the summer, we thought we could've done more to keep the squad fresher and fitter than we did. This season we've been rotating the squad more than we did last season. I made eight changes for the midweek victory over Dundee United, with the Betfred Cup Final in mind. We wouldn't have done that last season. Highlights 8 minutes. Kent pulls one back for Rangers with a stunning, individual goal. 90+2 minutes. Karamoko Dembele restores Celtic's five goal advantage, forcing the ball over the line from Stevie Mallan's free-kick. FT: Celtic 6-1 Rangers The Bhoys: Congratulations on winning the Betfred Cup. You didn't just beat Rangers, you absolutely blew them away. Stuniverse: Thank you. The players were superb today and thoroughly deserve to be wearing their Betfred Cup Winners medals. We were all hurting after losing to Rangers in the Scottish Cup Final last season. The players. The backroom staff. Myself. The Board. We were all hurting and determined to set the record straight today in the Betfred Cup Final.
