With 19 days until the cup-tie at home to Championship side Alloa Athletic, Celtic have decided against arranging any friendlies. Ryan Wilson, a 17 year-old right-back, joins from Kilmarnock for £2.4M. Tom Ritchie, a 21 year-old goalkeeper manager Stuniverse knows well from his time at Hibs, joins for £1M. Chris Mochrie has been on my radar since the early days at Hibs. I couldn't afford him at Hibs and last season, after I'd moved to Celtic, Colombus Crew weren't prepared to sell him other than for an extortionate fee. Mochrie did well as a 64th minute sub against Alloa, producing two key passes and a 6.8 rating. He'll take up Evangelos Patoulidis's place in the squad and will be in competition with Paddy McKee and Ewan Henderson for a starting place as the AMC in our 4-2-3-1. What have you got to say? Stuniverse: We're disappointed to lose, obviously, but I also think the fact that it's our first defeat in 29 league games tells you that we are a very good side. Tonight, you have to give Dundee United a lot of credit. They had a game plan to defend and frustrate us and they executed it diligently. It was up to us to break them down and we couldn't do it. Then they got a rare opportunity themselves, and they took it. Yes, we could and should have defended the corner better, of course, we should... but these things happen. We're not going to panic though. It's our first league defeat all season, our first defeat to a Scottish team all season. IN: Tom Ritchie (GK), Finn Ecrepont (DL), Ewan Henderson (MC), Billy Gilmour (MC), Grant Thomson (MR), Stuart McJannet (ML), Jordan Ross (SC). OUT: Steven Harrison (GK), Greg Taylor (DL-tight thigh), Stevie Mallan (MC), Scott McTominay (MC), Karamoko Dembele (MR), Mikey Johnston (ML), Adam Idah (SC). Highlights 12 minutes. Celtic captain Scott McKenna broke the deadlock, powering in a header from Ewan Henderson's corner. 20 minutes. Stuart McJannet doubled Celtic's lead at the second attempt, after his first shot had been blocked. 31 minutes. Ewan Henderson floated in a corner, Grant Thomson went up in a crowd of players, appeared to be shoved, and the referee pointed to the spot. Paddy McKee took responsibility, hit his penalty straight down the middle, providing catching practice for Johnstone in the Montrose goal. HT: Celtic 2-0 Montrose 69 minutes. Grant Thomson made it 3-0, getting on the end of Adam Idah's pass and steering his shot in off the far post. 84 minutes. Chris Mochrie scored a sensational, individual goal to make it 4-0 to Celtic. Mochrie received the ball just inside Montrose's half, he embarked on a stunning run, beating challenge after challenge, before hitting a rocket of a shot into the back of the net. 87 minutes. Armstrong Oko-Flex thought he'd made it 5-0 from close range but he was offside. 90+2 minutes. Grant Thomson did make it 5-0 a few minutes later, heading in his second goal of the game from Chris Mochrie's cross. Stranraer and Dundee played out a thrilling 3-3 draw at Stair Park and will now replay at Dundee's Kilmac Stadium at Den's Park. Stanley Baryla: We've managed to keep your application for the Marseille job out of the press, and their Chairman Jacques-Henri Eyraud is keen to speak to you, but Marseille have been unable to agree a compensation package with Celtic so Dermot Desmond [Director] has refused permission for them to speak to you. Stuniverse: Well that's that then. I'm not going to quit Celtic so I guess we just carry on as we are for now. It's not like I'm desperate to move on as I would like to see this season out here at Celtic if possible, see if we can win the domestic treble that my players deserve. Stanley Baryla: You could speak to Dermot and see if there's any room to manoeuvre. I know he doesn't want to lose you but, as there's no guarantee that Marseille will offer you the job - after all, you don't speak French and Atalanta’s Gennaro Gattuso remains the bookies favourite - Dermot and the Board may be prepared to go along with it to keep you sweet. Stuniverse: I'm not sure to be honest. I was interviewed by Frank McCourt, the American owner, and he seemed concerned that I'd never managed in France before and I didn't speak French. Stanley Baryla: To be expected, I suppose. Shame your multi-lingual assistant Jari Litmanen doesn't speak French either. Stuniverse: Yeah [laughs], I thought that as well. Stanley Baryla: Did he give you the opportunity to join at the end of the season? Stuniverse: It came up, and I said I'd prefer to join at the end of the season, yes. Frank would make a good poker player though, his face gave nothing away. Stanley Baryla: Good luck. I'll keep my fingers crossed and let you know as soon as I hear anything. IN: Karamoko Dembele (MR), Mikey Johnston (ML). OUT: Oliver McBurnie (MR), Armstrong Oko-Flex (ML). Highlights 5 minutes. Callum Paterson played a free-kick down the line, Karamoko Dembele collected the ball, ran into the penalty area and was brought down. The referee instantly pointed to the spot. Stevie Mallan's penalty was tame and easily saved by Eastwood. 7 minutes. Drinan came close to giving Inverness the lead, heading Fosu's cross against the post. HT: Inverness Caledonian Thistle 0-0 Celtic 54 minutes. Stevie Mallan gives Celtic the lead with a powerful shot after Chancel Mbemba's cross was cleared out to the edge of the penalty area. 63 minutes. There will be no Old Firm derby in the Scottish Cup this season following Kilmarnock's 1-0 victory over Rangers in their replay at Rugby Park. The Bhoys: On the day Celtic play Atletico Bilbao away in the EURO Cup First Knockout Round, first-leg, arguably their most important match of the season so far, sensational news is reaching us from France where French bookmakers have made Celtic manager Stuniverse the 1-5 odds-on favourite to become the next manager of Olympique De Marseille. We have spent most of the day trying to piece together this story and get an official confirmation or denial from the powers-that-be at Celtic Park but, with the manager, backroom staff, players and the majority of the Board already in Spain, nobody from Celtic Football Club has been available to comment. Stuniverse wasn't even on the bookmakers radar when Christophe Pelissier was sacked with Marseille 8th in Ligue 1 at the time. The early joint favourite, at 3-1, was Brentford's manager Nenad Bjelica: Also at 3-1 joint favourite was Atalanta's manager Gennaro Gattuso: Also in contention with the bookmakers, at 4-1, was unemployed Clarence Seedorf: Olympique De Marseille have done a superb job of keeping their shortlist of applicants close to their chest as we've hardly been able to find anything to go on at all in the French media other than that Brest manager Thierry Laurey attended an interview for the job according to reports in La Provence. We've been unable to find any reference to Stuniverse in the French press other than the Celtic manager has overnight gone from not being on the bookmaker's radar at all to being the 1-5 odds-on favourite to become the next Olympique De Marseille manager at the Stade Orange Velodrome. Although why Stuniverse would want to leave a Celtic side, who are 21 points clear at the top of the Premier League and heading towards a domestic treble, for a club 10th in Ligue 1 is beyond us. It annoyed me last season, @JaytheGreat, missing out on the domestic treble in the very last game of the season when we lost 1-0 in the Scottish Cup Final to Rangers. This season, we’re on course again for the domestic treble. We’ve already claimed the Betfred Cup (beating Rangers 6-1 in the Final), are 21 points clear in the Premier League with 11 games remaining, and are in the quarter-finals of the Scottish Cup. And we’re also still alive in the EURO Cup with two-legs to play against Atletico Bilbao in the last 16. I want to see this season out with Celtic but, after that, who knows...? At this stage, Olympique De Marseille have not offered me their manager’s job and, even if they do offer me the job, there’s no guarantee that they will allow me to take up the reigns in the summer after Celtic’s season has concluded. We're determined to do ourselves justice, get a good result at the San Mames, so that we can give our fans a night to remember in the second-leg at Celtic Park. The Bhoys: No, we can't leave it at that. The Celtic fans deserve to know if you'll even be in charge for that second-leg or are you about to walk out on Celtic? Stuniverse: I'm not about to walk out on Celtic. No. We have a EURO Cup adventure we're just starting out on. We have a Premier League title to clinch. We have the Scottish Cup we want to win. I want to be here for all of that this season. We missed out on the domestic treble last season in the final game, we want to put that right this season and win the domestic treble.
