Preferred 3 Country Set Up

Out of interest.. what are people's preferences for countries to load up at the start of a game?

I normally go for all leagues in England definitely, then 2 of either Germany, France, Italy, Spain.

What would be best in terms of getting a good balance and depth of the database?

Depending on your primary nation the game suggests others for you to load in as well for balance as depth. Look for the star icon next to nation names on the setup screen. 

Generally any combination of three based on those will give you good balance and depth. In terms of DB size, it will be bigger or larger depending on how many leagues and teams there are in those three nations too. 

Bigger won't necessarily be better for you depending on who you start with - if you're only in the very top league, you've not much to gain by having the lowest league of a random nation in the game so much.

Ah great, that's the kind of answer I was looking for! Will be starting a new game over the weekend so need to decide what to load up

I tend to start low or unemployed hence loading all leagues from each country, also when you're further on in a save you will often loan players out to those lower divisions too so it's better checking their performance in a 'live' league.
