Installing FM20 on SSD but graphic packs on HDD

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I got myself a new laprop. It has 128gb SSD and 1TB HDD.

Is it possible to install FM20 on the SSD to take advantage of the faster loading and saving times, but then install my graphic packs on the HDD? They are about 60gb, it will pretty much fill up my SSD.

Thanks.

I've moved the default location of my documents, music, pictures, videos, downloads and desktop folders from my C drive [an SSD] to my D drive [an HDD]. This has the advantage of having the operating system and program files on the SSD whilst moving the "storage" files to the HDD.

Thanks, if the save game is also on the HDD does that not defeat the purpose?

Or load and save times are associated with the initial game install on my SSD?

saving and loading will be slower on HDD

you can only move graphic files with a symlink https://www.howtogeek.com/howto/16226/complete-guide-to-symbolic-links-symlinks-on-windows-or-linux/
