Lukecr1
Morning guys Now that we have the specs for FM25 what are the thoughts about Apple Macbooks handling the new game. I need a smaller more lightweight laptop as with kids its difficult to get a big bulky laptop out and the kids like using my current one as a step lol! Have been looking at the M3 pro chip mainly this one: https://www.currys.co.uk/products/apple-macbook-pro-14-2023-m3-pro-512-gb-ssd-space-black-10257854.html I have also considered these as they are a similar weight: https://www.currys.co.uk/products/msi-prestige-16-ai-studio-b1veg-16-laptop-intel-core-ultra-7-1-tb-ssd-grey-10260045.html https://www.currys.co.uk/products/msi-prestige-16-ai-studio-b1vfg-16-laptop-intel-core-ultra-7-1-tb-ssd-grey-10260044.html Thank you

Out of the three, I'd choose the 2nd MSI personally though.

kingjericho
What's the best non-gaming laptop I can get that meets FM25's top specs? I don't want a Mac and I really don't need a gaming laptop if it's just for FM. I'm looking for the best possible laptop that allows me to watch movies and do my regular stuff with long battery life. Truth is, to meet the recommended specs, a gaming laptop is required as you need a dedicated graphics card, that said you can still do anything else you want to on a gaming laptop and it doesn't need to have all the RGB stuff. Something like this would probably be what you're looking for, but it does depend on your budget: https://www.argos.co.uk/product/8489166?clickPR=plp:13:33 Edited 12 hours ago by kevhamster

I'm not worried about the budget as my current laptop has lasted almost 10 years. So the new one will be for a long run, too. I'm not a fan of the RGB stuff but gaming laptops are usually heavier and the battery time is not so good, that's my main issue.

That one I've linked is around 1.8kg, so it is a little bit heavier than a Macbook Air, but says battery life up to 10 hours. It's the best stated battery life I found with something which meets the recommended specs. Edited 12 hours ago by kevhamster

richwarner
Going to buy a MacBook later this year which I would like to think would last me a long time, just wanted to ask would the 2024 Apple MacBook Air 13.6", M3 Processor, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD version be fine for FM25 and FM going forward over the next few years or so or would I be better off getting the MacBook Pro version? Thanks!

I don’t suppose you’d have an idea of how MacBook Air M3 would be vs the ASUS Vivobook you posted 4 hours ago? Would be the same price. I need to update my MacBook Pro from 2017 so ideally want to keep Apple however I don’t want to sacrifice not running on high graphics setting. The recommended specs suggest any of the Apple M chips will be fine for high settings.
TikiTakaToe
Would anyone be able to help me and recommend a good starter PC system that will run FM25 on lower settings, with about 10 leagues and using the 3d engine. FM will be the only game played on it so hopefully good enough to last a few more years as well. I'll also need a monitor and peripherals if there are any bundled deals on offer. Many thanks

If I throw some more at it, up to £900 - £1000 would that then get something to run it decently? If so, would you be able to recommend something?
