How long on average does it take to get a new job?

I've applied for the Spurs job having taken Newcastle far enough.

 

It took nearly 4 weeks in game just to get an interview. I'm up to 3 weeks later on, still nothing about the job.

 

This is a ridiculous amount of time to be told yes or no...missed out on loads good transfers too.

Anyone else experience the same of feel its about right?

I've only applied for one other job and after the interview it probably took about 6 days before they chose someone else, so my very limited experience, it seems about right.

Hmmm....

I dont know why im getting such long time frames then.

Never experienced this before in the series.

Doing a journeyman and can confirm that sometimes it can take like 6 weeks just for an interview, and others less than a week. There doesn’t seem to be any rhyme or reason. Confirmation or rejection can also vary after an interview in timescale. For me it makes it more interesting, as frustrating (and thinking the game is bugged) as waiting 6 weeks can be.

I'm on Touch and it took 3 weeks for Leverkusen to offer me the job. On the other hand Austria Wien offered me a job too in less than a week. I guess it depends on the club's reputation and if there are other candidates that are as or more reputable than you.

The process seems to take a lot longer in the offseason.  I guess because the board feels they have more time.  But yeah, it's annoying to miss out on the first couple of weeks of the transfer window.  I've seen big jobs open up at the end of the season in May, and they aren't filled until early July or thereabouts.
