Popular Post majesticeternity
FM Expansion Packs Megapack Download the complete set of 5 full expansion packs for your FM21 game! Choose which files you want to use, and enjoy your new game! For those already familiar with my mods: As most of the testing is done, I've now made one complete set. Most of these you'll know about, but there are a few new ones too! And this pack will mark the conclusion of new mods by me for this season. It's completed. More Information on Each Included Mod: An Enhanced NewGen Experience: Spoiler This mod enhances newgen creation, and makes it more realistic by doing the following: - A club's youth setup is now more important, you are not as captive to your nation's youth ratings, and will have more success in increasing your chances of wonderkids through facility improvement - More newgens show up at higher reputation clubs, and are therefore harder to poach or buy - Less world-beaters, and a more even playing field across the globe. This means more clubs want the same players, more competition, and properly developing and training your youth is key. - More variety and realism in wonderkid nationalities, rather than mainly the big nations like England, Spain, Brazil, etc. You can now find a hidden gem from a small nation. - More golden generations, so one club or nation may have a great youth intake, and next year not as much Affiliations for Youth Intake Variety: Spoiler As seasons go by, variety in nationalities of newgens greatly reduces, compared to game start or real life. This file attempts to fix this lack of variety, and create a setup of nationalities that come through a club's youth academy in real life. Using historic youth academy data, I added over 140 new affiliations between clubs, according to the common nationalities that came through their youth academies in the last 2 decades. These affiliations were added to: Top Division clubs for Austria, Argentina, Belgium, England, France(+ligue 2), Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, USA These affiliations are not all real life actual affiliations, but focused on creating better nationality spread for a clubs' youth intake. It has been well tested, but is always a work in progress. It also: Fixes incorrect nationalities that come through clubs in a vanilla game, such as Dortmund's Australian invasion Adds some missing real life affiliations, according to their real life setups Language Overhaul: Spoiler Added 80 New languages, 62 NEW Dialects. Edited 100 Nations and 1,500 Regions. Experience the world's cultures. **This file changes the way languages work. Please read below, so you understand what you are getting.** Intro: Languages in FM are very simple, and generally apply to an entire nation. This is very unrealistic, when language in real life is endlessly complex, and not all people of one nation speak the same language. The original database has less than 120 languages, while in real life there are over 6,000, not to mention each language's regional dialects. It's also wildly inaccurate: FM has USA listed as 100% English and 100% Spanish, while in reality Spanish speakers(native or learned) totals only about 25%. FM also has Germany only capable of speaking German. Yet, studies show 63% can speak English, 18% French, 9% Dutch, etc. Players also pick up languages far too easily. Any national language is learned in one or two seasons to Fluent level. For example: A 20yr old from Georgia spends 2 years in Belgium and becomes FLUENT in 3 different languages at the same time. This file fixes those issues, and adds much more complexity to languages. It creates better immersion, more unique players, increased squad building and scouting strategy, and endless storytelling possibilities. The regions and cities your players come from and play in are now important. New Feature: Dialects The 46 new dialects were created to do multiple things: 1. Add a sense of culture. The idea that a player also has to fit in with the region's specific culture, their teammates' and clubs' way of life. That a strong accent, a lack of full language understanding, and a different way of life may still divide a player from another, until they learn that area's culture, and adjust to it. 2. Add the idea that language/dialects/sounds are learned over time, with experience and exposure. A teenager is not a master of all language. A 16yr old American may have a tough time understanding someone from the UK, but as he spends time with them, he's able to tune his ears, and easily understand them. 3. Languages and dialects are based on mutual intelligibility (if foreigners can understand it). So, someone speaking Czech can mostly understand a Slovakian, but someone speaking a Chinese dialect can hardly understand another Chinese dialect. 4. Adds the idea that players and staff have to adjust to the new club, new surroundings, the clubs' DNA and culture. There are endless dialects, but the ones chosen for FM were based on: how generally difficult they are for foreigners to understand, how different the culture is, if they have a distinct accent, and also if they have different words, meanings, grammar, or slang that would be unknown to others. The New World of FM Languages: Newgens:Players from the SAME nation may not understand each other at first. You now have to pay attention to where they are from. (Example: In Italy, your players may speak Italian AND a dialect, or ONLY a dialect.)Youth can be culture-shocked (Example: A 16yr old from Sicily, an island in Southern Italy, may have a tough time leaving his home and adjusting to the busy city of Rome. Or a youth from the rural Tibetan area of western China would have to learn an entirely new culture and language if he moved to Beijing, the 3rd most populated city of the world.)Regions are now very important. They have certain languages set according to their real life versions. (Example: Liege region of Belgium speak mostly French, while East Cantons speak mostly German, and Vlaams-Brabant speak mostly Dutch and some French)Multilingual people are also region-based (Example: Originally USA was 100% English, 100% Spanish. Now, those who also speak Spanish are located primarily in the states that border Mexico.)Regions bordering other nations have language overlap (Example: The Brazilian border areas have Spanish speakers. The Czech areas bordering Slovakia have Slovakian speakers, whereas those bordering Poland have Polish speakers)Minor languages are minor, instead of encompassing the whole nation) (Example: Peru was Spanish 100%, Aymara 50%, and Quechua 50%. Yet, Wiki says native speakers are Spanish 84.1%, Quechua 13%, and Aymara 1.7%. Also Quechua and Aymara are limited to their 15 real life regions, not all 25.)Some people may not know the official national language (Example: Some Spanish speakers living in the USA may not speak English)Youth will likely know their regional dialects, and in big cities will also know the standard language (Example: In the Shaanxi-sheng region of China, a 16yr old from the big city of Xi'an will know Mandarin Chinese, and may know the region's dialect. But a youth from much smaller Huangling will probably only know the dialect.)Large cities tend to have many more people who are bilingual/multilingual (Example: Brussels region of Belgium have those who speak French, Dutch, English, some German.)Small cities and rural areas tend to stick more with their regional languages or dialects (Example: People in the Hainan province of China primarily speak Min Chinese, not the general Mandarin Chinese of the nation) Big cities teaching English from elementary school have many English speakers (Example: Dakar, Senegal has many English speakers, while those more inland and rural only know their African language)The amount of people in a nation who know English is more accurate (Example: Originally Brazil was 50% English speaking, yet they are #59(Low) on the EPI, and Wiki says "Only 3 percent of Brazil’s population speaks English fluently". So while a decent percentage may speak English, it is at a basic level. Foreigners:Age and experience makes it easier for a player to fit in a new squad (Example: An Italian player who has played in several clubs all over Italy would have no problem moving to Rome, as he has learned the slang/accents/culture of many Italian regions.)Club careers shape more unique players, as they learn the language of their club's city, not nation (Example: 2 players move to Germany, then Belgium, then China. One learns High German, French, and Wu Chinese. The other learns Central German, Dutch, and Hakka Chinese.)Players that know a dialect will find it easier to pick up another dialect of the same language (Example: A player who knows Spanish and Italian, who spends 1 season in Liverpool, England, will only have a basic knowledge of Southern British English. But a player who is fluent in English, who spends 1 season in Liverpool, England, will have fluent knowledge of Southern British English.Foreigners will generally learn the main, more national or global language in big cities. (Example: If playing in the big city of Xi'an, they will learn Mandarin Chinese, and not the dialect. )Foreigners will be more attracted to the bigger cities of nations with many English speakers, where they can much more easily adapt, than choosing a small town where the local or national language is spoken (Example: In the Netherlands, a player moving to the large Amsterdam city can get by with English, and will likely learn English if they don't know it already. But in much smaller, rural cities they will need to speak/learn Dutch.)If the nation has many English speakers, but the area mostly speaks their national language, the player won't pick English up enoughEnglish speakers from the UK will have an easier time understanding other UK dialects than Americans will Note on Dialects: Every player/staff has a default language and additional known languages added in the database, and unfortunately these do not change unless edited specifically. So, you may join an English club, and find that your players and staff do not know the "language", which is now a local English dialect. Don't worry, no language courses are needed. They already know English, so by the end of the season, they should all know the dialect.Manager Job Appointments: This also changes the jobs you can receive, as clubs may prefer someone who speaks the language. Even if you speak English and have the correct qualifications, you may not be welcomed with open arms to Manchester City or Newcastle United. Remember, you have to know their culture too! Language Courses: The game will push language courses with every new player you sign. Try to ignore these altogether, as the whole idea is to create culture and individuality/identity for players in FM. They learn languages on their own anyways, and for English to English dialect/accents, it will be quite quick. For Italian to Arabic, it may take a whole season, maybe a bit longer depending on the player, which would be generally realistic for an Italian moving to an Arabic country. Example of the New Storytelling/Managing/Scouting/Squad Building Opportunities: Let's say you're managing Stuttgart in Germany, so German speakers are preferred. You send your scouts the top countries, one of them being Spain, looking for a new first-team defender. A scout recommends a Spaniard who is just what you're looking for. You think, of course he doesn't speak German. So unfortunately, you either have to pass, or pay for an intensive language course and wait for him to adapt. Actually....looking at the Scout Report, you realize he speaks some German! How is this possible? Well, he's from the region along the Mediterranean coast that has many tourists, especially from Germany, and over time has picked up some German. Or maybe you're managing LOSC Lille in France, and some of your players are from a region near the Spanish border. One speaks some Catalan, and would be perfect to help you welcome that Spanish defender Stuttgart wants! Do you make a bid? Or do you stick to French speakers, and sign the USA wonderkid from Louisiana? Conclusion: This file opens up a world of possibilities! Endless storytelling, yes, but it also means that other features in FM are more important. Scouting Reports matter more. Sending scouts to nations involves more strategy. Can you find the places outside your club's nation, that have players who speak the same language? Scouting nations like Belgium who can speak multiple languages may be a priority. Conversely, a club in the French region of Belgium may have to scout France and search for more French speakers. A player's Adaptability matters more, both in other nations and in the same nation. Managing a club in a smaller town may mean a club in a big city will always have an easier time convincing a player to join than you do. A big club may be able to build a squad of players all over the world, while a smaller town club may have to stick with players from the same region, until a proper squad is built. Squad Building has a whole new level of depth added to it. The languages your starting squad speaks may shape the rest of your squad building decisions, or you may heavily rely on shelling out money on language courses, or even put a priority on players with high Adaptability. You may need to more gradually bring a new player into the first team. A Club Vision to sign players from a certain nationality may determine the rest of the players you buy, as they need to speak the same language. A Club Vision to sign youth players may mean you must choose the clubs to loan them to more wisely, as you want them to learn the language of the team. There are so many new aspects to this, that hopefully you enjoy the new challenges, and the fact that languages matter a bit more than they used to! Realistic Transfer Preferences: Spoiler Complete real life transfer data applied to top 35 nations, and more realistic transfer preferences for all 228 nations. Intro: The real life transfer market is extremely complex, and every nation has their own tendencies. These tendencies vary greatly. For example, Northern Ireland may get their players mostly from within their own nation, or from Ireland, and never from South America. Whereas Scotland may get more players from England than their own nation, and randomly in small numbers from all over the European continent. This "transfer flow" for each nation is poorly represented in FM. In the default database, there are 3 sections regarding transfers, yet England has nation preferences set for only 2 out of 228 nations, and the continent and region sections are completely empty. This file changes that. We have compiled huge amounts of research/data/charts/etc and combined our work, to create the largest and most realistic set of transfer preferences ever created for FM. Features: Increased number of transfers within the same nation, for all 228 nations Reduced overall number of transfers Reduced China's strength in buying too many good players Removed every nation's ability to scout everywhere at any time Applied data for incoming transfers and loans for past 2 decades(if possible) to top 35 nations Top 35 Nations have individual transfer preferences applied for 65-70 nations Top 35 Nations have individual transfer preferences applied for all 21 regions Top 35 Nations have individual transfer preferences applied for all continents Added age restrictions for a few nations (USA, China, Japan, Turkey, Ireland, Serbia, Switzerland) Minor increase in Scotland/Ireland to encourage English transfers to those countries Affiliations increased within the same nation Affiliation tendencies applied to top 20 nations Guides for a Realistic Setup: Any nations not loaded as playable are hardly used for transfers. This means your save setup could be unrealistic. For example, you want to manage in Portugal, and load England, Spain, Italy, and France also. This means Brazil is left out, the nation that Portugal most often gets players. So, here is a list of basic guides by nation, to help you set up a decent save. The most important nations are listed first, then gradually less important, followed by optional ones. England: France, Italy, Germany, Netherlands, Portugal. Optional - New Zealand Media Overhaul: Spoiler Adds 4,240+ real media, 1,000 real journalists, 80 bookmakers, along with their styles and personalities This is the largest and most realistic media pack for FM ever! I started by combining and converting all the media files I could find, from FM17 through FM20. From this start, I did many, many changes: 200 More Journalists & Their PersonalitiesAdded journalists and personalities for about 80% of all 1,000Personalities based on employer (Example: Someone from a less reputable outlet may be dishonest or ill-tempered, but someone from a very good outlet may be honest or factual)20% Personalities based on real life written articles (Example: A journalist may work for a gossip outlet, but their articles may be more tactical or more thorough and honest than the rest of their coworkers. Or, one journalist may be very detailed and long-winded, while another may simply ask one question, and write a short article of a few sentences.)Employees added based on outlet size (Example: Bigger media outlets may have several journalists, while smaller may have only one)20% Have Favored Clubs (These are based on their favorite clubs or clubs they regularly report on/are inside sources for) 500 More Media & Their Styles: Added top-club dedicated websites with their real life journalists & individual personalities Added local media outlets & their real life journalists & individual personalities for: USA, Czech Republic, Belgium, Austria, Mexico, Norway, Portugal, France, and a few minor here and there(Turkey, Guatemala, Peru, etc) Different mediums of media outlets have differing coverage and frequency (Example: A Magazine may be monthly, A newspaper daily or bi-weekly, their online counterparts daily) Realistic Scope Settings:Media will cover areas they cover in real life. (Examples: Other media packs may have had an EPL-only media covering all of Europe. They now only cover EPL.) (Or a Norwegian media may cover Norway, along with EPL, and La Liga. They cover those competitions in FM also.) Bookmakers:80 Local bookmakers for: USA, Ukraine, Turkey, England, Switzerland, Sweden, Spain, Russia, Portugal, Poland, Norway, Greece, Germany, France, Denmark, Czech, Croatia, China, Colombia, Brazil, Bosnia, & Argentina Housekeeping/Corrections/Fixes: Removed duplicated media Removed some irrelevent old FM changes Removed duplicated club/type/nation settings Removed incorrect club/type/nation settings Added missing club/type/nation settings Fixed errors & typos Fixed some female journalists not being labeled female Fixed wrong Scopes Fixed wrong Coverage Areas Removed outlets now out of business or fake Added missing Types Fixed names Added missing Styles Added more global coverage of the biggest leagues and competitions Deleted duplicate journalists Added missing employers for journalists Linked some media together Creators of previous packs: Spoiler RussianMedia - Footmob Indonesia Media - rio_pl Greek Media by fmgreece.gr Hungarian Media - CormakRepublicAvatar World Media - Nik33 Media - Sangue Blu Irish League - TheGavinMaxwell Media - sortitoutsi Polish Media - FM Revolution Argentina media - prestige087 Parche Liga Chilena - Tapia Medios de comunicación - Migue_poli Real Media Sources - ducc Real Portuguese Media - kojuropp Swedish media sources - mattep74 Serbian Media Pack - gamingfreak Turkish Media Pack - mentese Irish Fantasy Pyramid - BoyinGreen Brazil Mundi UP - Adriano Roberto Canada - yellowsweatygorilla Italy - FUSIONDB Realistic Injuries: Spoiler Added 90 NEW injuries, and reworked 90% of injuries Two file options, regular and reduced frequency With 114 injuries in FM, on the surface there seems to be quite a bit of depth. But looking closer, many things are unrealistic. Blisters are treated by physios, pulled wrist ligaments take only a day or two to recover from, injury amount is only 70% of real life, and goalkeepers are invincible. This file will add a whole new layer of depth and strategy to your game! You will need to: Rotate your squad better Plan training to prevent injuries Sign quality backup Goalkeepers Use the Medical Center to watch high risk players Hire the best physios Balance training, recovery, rehab, and rest Budget for injuries requiring a doctor or surgery Avoid signing players with high injury risk Keep a good second 11 for rotation Have a full sub bench for in match injuriesand more... *NEW for FM21* Real-life Percentages Applied Using over a dozen scientific studies of professional football players, I've compiled the data and applied it to FM. I performed several tests, by simming a season, then extracting all the injury information, then calculating average percentages. Real-Life Location Occurrence Applied Example: For default, about 11% of injuries were located in the hip region. Real life is somewhere around 1%. My current tests have the mod at about 2%. Much closer to reality. Real-Life Injury Severity Applied Example: Default FM percentages for injuries lasting 2 months or more were about 12%. Real life percentage is about 5%. With Mod, is about 5%. Real-Life In-Match vs Training Injuries Applied The injury rate during competition at it's lowest is 8.7 per 1000 hours of exposure, vs 1.37 during training. I have increased the in-match injury rate, so that at least in-match injuries are more often. **NOTE**: Keep in mind that very save will be different. Every club, every league. So while multiple tests have severe injuries at about 5%, you may find your club has 10%, due to many various factors. But in general, in the whole FM save, injury percentages will be generally accurate. 90 new injuries added, based on research Added a new grading system Many injuries in real life are classified by grade I = minor, a sprain or bruise II = more severe, likely some ripping or tearing III = the worst, complete tear Now, your Club Physio will tell you the "grade" or severity of the injury. For example, is it strained, partially torn, or completely torn? Realistic Treatment Options > Reduced excessive physio use Example: Way too many injuries are unrealistically treated by a physio. Why is a cold or a cut hand treated by a physio? > Reduced amount of injuries able to use injection Example: In real life, recommended treatment for a bruised thigh is Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevation, and Rehab. It is a minor injury. Doctors say "You may also use a protective device." Yet, FM prescribes either an injection or physio. > More injuries allow players to play with protective equipment Example: Continuing with the bruised thigh - protective equipment is a much better option than injection. Added Correct Classifications and Sub-Classifications for all injuries Made injury lengths much more accurate Example: Pulling your wrist ligaments in real life takes roughly 2-4 weeks to recover from. FM had it set at 1-3 days, but now it takes 2-4 weeks.Added Realistic Causes Example: Sprained knee ligaments were only turning, sprinting, jumping. Added impact, bad tackle, or wear and tear.More medically and anatomically accurate names for injuries Example: A "broken lower arm" is now a "fractured humerus".Fixed inaccurate seasonal injuries Example: Shin splints no longer only occur in summer...Removed unrealistic injuries Example: A stubbed toe, that is treated by physio, but you can't use protective equipment? how many times does stubbed toe leave you unable to walk or run?)Removed duplicate "different" injuries Example: A broken toe(45 minimum days) and a fractured toe(15 minimum days)?? Goalkeepers: Increased Goalkeeper injury possibility Goalkeepers can now get 47 new injury types Fixed injuries with blank Goalkeeper Percentage assigning too many injuries to Goalkeepers FM21 Notes *IMPORTANT INFO - PLEASE READ* From testing, this year the injuries mod ONLY increases injuries for matches played on full detail. This can be viewed multiple ways, but if you wish for AI to have the same consequences as you, you must have the league set to full detail. If you wish for AI to have a break, and you level the playing field a bit, then don't set them to full detail. Also, injuries seem to be even more realistic and dynamic this year. - More intense training or tactics will rapidly increase injuries Possibly due to SI's changes in effects of intense pressing, there is a more noticeable increase to injuries if you run fitness drills during the season, for example. - Higher, more demanding leagues will see more severe injuries Along the same lines, a lower league team may still see alot of injuries, but minor and short term. An EPL high-pressing team will see longer and more severe ones. Thank you to @Daveincid @Junkhead, @krlevskis, @TheFM_Teacher, @Shorno, and @Tommy Hughes for the help testing!!! Empty Starting Balances: Spoiler This is a simple, but powerful file, that removes all starting balances for clubs of reputations 1,000 and up. It helps to reduce starting funds, inflation, and too much money in club's balances compared to real-life. Finance Fixes and Added Taxes: Spoiler *NOTE* This WILL CHANGE YOUR GAME, and WILL make your life harder, especially if you are managing in the nations listed below! If you are not managing in these nations, it will only be harder mainly because the big clubs will no longer as readily splash the cash on your players. Over time in FM21, clubs gain money too easily, most especially those more popular clubs with huge sponsorships. They can easily rack up hundreds of millions even in just one season. This causes alot of things in the game to be unrealistic. Also, with sponsorships having issues in FM, where clubs are largely influenced by their starting sponsorship values for the entire save, it means that already big clubs will always stay big, whether they are successful or not. Small clubs MADE into "big" clubs and who became successful, will be handicapped by their starting low stature. It is a similar issue with wages, where players in the starting database with contracts already will sign contracts more similar to their original wages. This means that a very small club from a England's championship can promote to EPL, continue using their lower league squad who don't ask for higher wages, and just earn a lot of money until they are extremely rich. This file attempts to fix those and other issues. Now a smaller club can rise out of nowhere, gradually, if it is smart, makes wise moves, has good managers and tactics. Clubs can turn into selling clubs, and others buying clubs. There are more selling clubs, small clubs buy low and sell high, or buy less players, or pick up frees. Bigger clubs splash the cash and bring in good players. There's more partial fees and player exchanges. Results and success now matter. Now, the world is dynamic and real. Especially when paired with the other mods, such as Smarter AI and Empty Bank balance, you should find a fascinatingly dynamic world, full of amazing stories. Story examples: In EPL, Chelsea has gone to the top of EPL, with winning 3 seasons in a row, UCL three times in 5 years, alot of money in the bank due to that, a big increase in reputation. Why? Because they bought players smart, got good results, and just kept it going, being smart about re-investments, saving up, offloading older players, and such. On the other hand, you have an EPL team that promoted from Championship 2 seasons ago, barely made it through the season both times in EPL. So they sell quite a few players for good money, and pick up some good starting mid-20's players for a push to fight relegation. They increase wages, and transfer budget. Go 15m in the red. And they make it! Just barely above the relegation line, and all their hard work paid off. Now they're just waiting for EPL's broadcast fees to kick in for the new season to refill their account. In Ligue 1, PSG of course is loaded. But Monaco has placed 2nd for last 3 seasons, has 100m euros, and they've done well in UCL and UEL made it to quarter finals. Then Lyon is in the red quite a bit, but they've placed 3rd for a few seasons in Ligue 1. So why are they in the red? They dump out of UCL pretty quickly, so they are stretched thin without reward, and then are struggling. They've become the IRL Monaco; a selling club, bringing in 3x the amount of money in sales than they buy, so they can keep afloat and keep challenging. How does this file work? Well, with many things, but primarily in adding tax on large profits, some on player transfers. Changes in this file: Removed sugar daddies from most low reputation clubs Belgium Fixed incorrect sponsor settings Added 10% corporation tax on 30m+China Added real life 100% transfer tax on foreign players Added 50% transfer tax on 3m+ (£) 30% corporation tax now starts at 3.75m Removed sugar daddies, lowered sponsors, and removed increased starting budget England Added 20% transfer tax on 416,000 (£) Added corporation tax on 300k, 2.5m-24.99m, and 25m+France Added 20% transfer tax on 500,000 (£) Made 30% corporation tax start at 18.8m (£) Removed excess sponsorship valuesGermany Added 20% transfer tax on 500,000 (£) Added 30% corporation tax on 0 - 19.99m (£) Added 55% corporation tax on 20m - 59.99m (£) Added 65% corporation tax on 60m+ (£)Italy Added 20% transfer tax on 1,000,000 (£) Added 20% corporation tax on 18,800,000 (£)Portugal Reduced income taxes(so should be slightly less financial struggle)Scotland Reduced corporation taxes(so should be slightly less financial struggle)Spain Added 20% corporation tax on 18,500,000 (£) Smarter AI: Spoiler Increased AI Staff and Manager attributes, better squad building, player management, rotation, etc. Ability Hierarchy Increase:All staff/managers changed still have a hierarchy or ability ranges. Not everyone has 200 CA/PA. Top managers will still be top managers. Average managers will still be worse than top managers. For example, a manager with original 150 PA, may now have 160-170 PA. Attributes increased: CA, PA, Tactical Knowledge, Hardness of Training, Judging PA, Judging PP, Man Management, Motivating, ALL Coaching(except GK), Working with Youngsters Good/Average managers are not terrible anymore:Limits were set to ensure that good/average managers do not have terrible stats. But they still can have ranges, and individual attributes, and characteristics. Limits set as Determination not <10, Discipline not <10, Versatility not <12, Will use Subs not <14, Uses youth in low priority cups not <12 for higher leagues and not MORE than 5 for lower league. Will make early tactical changes not <12, Will fit players into preferred tactic not <11, Physio is set to 1 (for non-physios). Squad Rotation not <12, Motivation not <8, Determination not <7, Level of Discipline not <7, Tactical Knowledge not <7. Judging Player & Team Data are set to 1 (to prevent allocation of Current Ability on unused attributes, for non-analyst staff). More Formation VarietyIncreased variation in formations for <180PA managers, to remove the dependency on using primarily 4-4-2, 4-2-3-1, and 4-1-4-1. This will mean that you will have to watch, adjust, and analyse your matches, as you face different formations and setups. Other changes: Added missing ethnicity, hair, skin info for 160 CA+ managers Added preference to be Assistant Manager to 10 For 80-120 CA managers with 14+ tactical knowledge Added preference to be HOYD to 10 For 80-120 CA managers with 15+ working with youngsters Reduced ambition slightly (relative to CA/PA), this will help with better managers getting jobs instead of going without for many months/years A Bit Better Manager Tactics: Spoiler A simple beta file that completely fills out profiles for the following managers, based on FM-conversions of their real life tactics: Diego Simeone, Massimiliano Allegri, Carlo Ancelotti, Marcelo Bielsa, Antonio Conte, Jurgen Klopp, Jose Mourinho, Zidedine Zidane, Simone Inzaghi, Marcelo Gallardo, Unai Emery, Claudio Ranieri Legendary Wonderkids: Spoiler 390 Legendary Players. Realistic attributes, traits, likes/dislikes, skills, relationships, dreams, entire personalities. A continuation of DarthFurion's AMAZING FM18 work. *NEW Unique players for FM21* In FM, there are only 70 players under 30 in the entire world that are top quality. Only 10 clubs have more than 3 of these top players. Only 2 players come close to the 200 Potential Ability the database allows. Sometimes, it is nice to play against the best of the best. Against a stacked team of immensely formidable opponents, that make you shake in your managerial boots. To watch elite players dribble and pass their way to a goal, like no others can. To re-pave history and watch legendary careers unfold again. To manage a player with a personality more unique than almost any default database player. Features: 140 players added by DarthFurion originally + 250 additional players = 390 total players NEW FM21 Players: Added 9 more goalkeepers Added 13 more outfield players, including some unique players like Delap, Higuita and Zigic(in Serbia) Complete Player Details Information: Name, Ethnicity, Hair, Skin, City of Birth, Date of Birth, Nationality Realistic Club Contracts: All players start at a club. It may be the one they first played for, or a club they spent the majority of their career with. Some players have Future Transfers, for those who started at a smaller club, then transferred to a club they are known for. Each players has a Preferred Squad Number, the one they are most known for. Minimum Fee Release Clause: Some players spent their entire careers at one club. In an effort to recreate this in FM, those ones have been given extremely long contracts, with impossibly high Release Clauses. Complete Personality Information: Adaptability, Ambition, Controversy, Loyalty, Pressure, Professionalism, Sportsmanship, Temperament have all been filled out for every player, according to their real life careers, actions, life events, etc. Job Preferences: Some players went on to be Managers, Coaches, or Scouts. These ones have a preference for those jobs when they retire. Career Plans: Every player has Career Plans set, based on clubs they played at in real life, nations they avoided, clubs they fell out with, or rivals of their favorite clubs. Current Ability/Potential Ability: Every player has an individual CA/PA, based on their specific skill set Reputation: Reputations set based on a combination of their real life career popularity, starting clubs, and CA/PA. For example, Messi playing at Barcelona as the highest PA, has the highest reputation. But Edward Szymkowiak, a Goalkeeper playing in a 3rd division Polish club, would be much more obscure. Other information: Height, Weight Foot Preference Trained at Nation and Club Position: The main positions they played are set, along with a Preferred Central Position, if they had a preferred side, or were very one-footed. Completed Player Attributes: All Mental, Physical, and Technical Attributes filled out, according to their real life play style. Many articles were read on their style of play, along with videos watched to get a better idea. As these players are starting as youth, some attributes like Teamwork, Consistency, Leadership, and Mental Attributes had minor reductions. This makes it more realistic, that the players must learn and grow into better players. They are young, inexperienced, and unproven in the world of FM. Realistic Injury Proneness: Every player is still human, and susceptible to injuries. If they were plagued by injuries during their career, they will have high injury proneness in FM. Preferred Moves: Every player has individually assigned skills, based on their style of play, personality, attributes, and careers. For example, a player with brilliant dribbling, endless speed, and lots of flair may also Try Tricks and Run with the Ball Often. Another player, who had many fouls, was prone to temper tantrums, and aggressive may Wind Up Opponents and Argue with Officials. Favorite/Disliked People: Players often created bonds with those they came in contact with during their careers. Some of the more important relationships were added. While this isn't always realistic(they may not know these people yet), it helps to recreate and encourage the friendships for FM. Favorited/Disliked Clubs: Clubs were added to these sections based on a few things: Statements made by the player, clubs they played at, or rivals of their favorite clubs. This will help to keep their transfer movements realistic, so you should not see Puyol move to Real Madrid. But, some players had no loyalties, and no disliked clubs, so they may move to club rivals. In-Game Screenshots, after 2 seasons: FACEPACK 1. Make sure the file is placed at the top of the list when you select all your editor data files. This prevents ID changes when loading multiple files that add people. 2. Extract images to Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2021\graphics\faces. Overwrite any current images. Run the fmXML setup. Open fmXML. Click Browse, and select the Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2021\graphics\faces folder. Select "All filenames are IDs". Press GO! Say Yes to overwriting the current config.xml file. This will add the players faces, while keeping your previous downloaded facepacks. 3. Load your save, clear the cache, reload the skin. DOWNLOAD Facepack: Wonderkids by ID Legendary Managers: Spoiler 80 New Legendary Managers and 20 New Lower League Managers, with unique personalities, dreams, desires, formations, and styles. Every manager has a profile based on real life: Correct birthdate, birthplace, hair/skin color, languages spoken Liked/disliked clubs, relationships, career plans, based on real-life choices, players known, and clubs managed. Unique personalities: Temperamental or level-headed, controversial or quiet, loyal or club-hopping, etc. Attire tendencies: How likely they were to choose suits, casual, or tracksuits Gesture tendencies: Roaming the touchline, starting arguments, or sitting quietly Versatility added For long-term saves, all managers are around 50 or under Custom Club Vision, if applicable Preferred formations: All managers have at least 1 preferred formation, based on their common or well-known tactics. If I could find info, there have been 2,3, and even 4 formations set. Tendencies: Set custom tactical tendencies according to their play style Set "Will use young players in low priority cup matches" to above 10, to create good rotation without sacrificing the game, and help develop their youth Set "Will make early tactical changes" to above 10, to create a good balance of tactical adjustments Tactical Attributes: Set based on any information I could find about their tactical style Tactical Roles: Added for each manager I found info on. Tweaked some managers real-life tendencies to better fit the match engine and improve manager's results. (ex, one manager was repeatedly getting <15% win percentage, so tweaked and filled in knowledge gaps to become 40%+) Club Contracts: Every manager is assigned to the club they won the most honours with or stayed the longest at. If that club was taken already, the 2nd best club was used, and so on. Current real-life managers have been replaced from their clubs. Most often, they are set as free agents now. Managers who are icons for a club were given long contracts: For example, Bob Paisley's contract for Liverpool is until 2040. National Teams: If they managed a national team, they were added as managers, or if already taken, assistants or managers of youth teams. Maxed Attributes: Determination, Tactical Knowledge, Squad Rotation are maxed. This is to make better managers, and to help(slightly) the poor player development and rotation AI clubs have. Coaching Attributes: Attack-oriented managers are better at coaching attacking and not defending. Defense-oriented managers are better at coaching defending and not attacking. Judging Player Data set to 1 (to prevent allocation of Current Ability on unused attributes, for non-analyst staff) Judging Team Data set to 1 (to prevent allocation of Current Ability on unused attributes, for non-analyst staff) Presenting Data set to 1 (to prevent allocation of Current Ability on unused attributes, for non-analyst staff) Goalkeeping coaching set to 1 for NON-GK coaches (to prevent allocation of Current Ability on attributes that would be poor and useless. ex: manager's GK at 6, now 1.) Lower League Managers: Added or renewed 20 managers known to choose lower league clubs Tip: There are far too many available managers in FM, especially when players start retiring and become managers. Therefore, many good quality managers go without jobs, both legendary and default ones. If you use an in-game editor, you can "retire" some lesser quality free-agent managers once a season. Make them very old, give them 1 Reputation and 1 CA/PA. That way the better managers will have jobs, and you will have more managers to do battle with! FACEPACK: 1. Extract images to Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2021\graphics\faces. Overwrite any current images. Download and install fmXML. Open fmXML. Click Browse, and select the Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2021\graphics\faces folder. Select "All filenames are IDs". Press GO! Say Yes to overwriting the current config.xml file. This will add the agents faces, while keeping your previous downloaded facepacks. 2. Load your save, clear the cache, reload the skin. 3. If the faces don't match, you need to rename the files so they match the new Unique ID's. Use Bulk Rename Utility. in FM, go to Helenio Herrera. Find his ID# near his name. Then Use the Bulk Rename Utility. Remove section: First n = 10. Numbering section: Start = Helenio Herrera' in game ID#. At = 1. Select all ids starting with 20000etc. rename. The order of the ID's will never change, so the order they're in now, is also the order they will be in afterwards. After renaming everything, use the fmXML tool to create a new config file. Then reload your skin in-game, and enjoy your new faces! DOWNLOAD Facepack: Manager Faces by ID Award Overhaul: Spoiler 160 New Awards, Reworked entire reputation system Can you be the best manager in the world, and earn all 4 new global awards? Added 60 New Awards (30 Global, 10 Continental, 14 English, 5 Spanish, 2 Portuguese, 3 Italian, 1 Argentina) Added 100 Awards based on nabil_dx95's FM18 Global Awards (80 International Competition, 20 Continental) Realistic color schemes for some 4 New Worldwide Managerial awards (Best National Coach, Best Club Coach, Best Global Coach, Best Coach Career) Made awards actually increase reputation and fixed empty reputations - almost half had empty home/world reputations (even Serie A Player of the Year, La Liga Manager of the Year). Austrian Ambassador was 10/100/150, but Croatian POTY was 0 0 0) Created a hierarchy, so that the most valuable are Global awards, then World Cup, then International, then Continental, then Continental Competitions, then popular leagues, etc. Made continental/national awards more important to their area than the world (Example: European Best Goalkeeper matters more to Europe than South America or elsewhere. Spain Playmaker OTY matters more to Spain than elsewhere) Made National Senior & Youth achievements valuable, compared to a league Made youth achievements valuable Made managerial achievements more valuable Made GK awards valuable Made yearly achievements much more valuable than monthly Removed English and German reputation bias Reduced overpowered English Premier POFM, TOTW, increased TOTY Made English Championship awards valuable Reduced overpowered English Premier Manager TOTM, increased TOTY Reduced overpowered World Reputation of small nations (Example: Lithuanian POTY World Rep from 85 > 10) Added Winner Home reputation for Managers to every nation *IMPORTANT NOTE*: The Global Manager Awards required a nation, so you must load England! Awards are loaded by nation. So if you want Italian Awards, you must load Italy. Better-Than-Default Transfer Values: Spoiler Real Life Transfermarkt Data Applied to 30 Nations ***NOTE: This mod changes the way you build a squad, buy/sell players, how you approach competitions, manage money, etc. Please read everything below so you understand fully.** Also, it does NOT add COVID effects/changes in the future Intro: This project was made as an attempt to provide a "better" experience in buying/selling, and a more realistic league landscape in the transfer market. It's been a massive project, which started by extracting the information of every single player above 100 reputation, based in each of the 30 nations. After that, extracting the current Transfermarkt values for all those players and comparing them for each reputation range. Then coming up with a balanced, average increase/decrease based on the findings. Finally, testing the new values across the nations, to create a new, realistic representation. Of course, market values are very subjective, constantly changing, and can never be fully accurate. But in the end, this file seems to generally improve things. Features: Nations Changed: Austria, Argentina, Belgium, Brazil, Cameroon, Chile, China, Colombia, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, England, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Mexico, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Ireland, Russia, Scotland, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine, Uruguay, USA. Important Info: 1. There will still be issues with the transfer market. This only changes values, so that it can hit the right target more often than default, but won't fix all issues. Only SI can change wonderkid's value not rising enough, older players' values drastically diminishing, or clubs not having the money to buy players. 2. A specific player's value can't be changed. Any changes affect all players in that reputation range. So one player's value may be wrong, but the overall values of similar reputation players in that league should be on average good. 3. You can use daveincids files together with this file, simply remove this one: Daveincids improved market values + salaries + sponsors Before Using this Mod: Because everyone has different view, run a test save beforehand. Take a look at some clubs' squads. See if it looks good to you. Keep in mind, some values may be very different, and not necessarily wrong! Just a new way to play, a new approach. How to Make Your Own Changes: If you find that you like the changes overall, but don't like a certain aspect, you can change this in the Editor! For example, maybe you don't want top English Premier League players values to be so high. Simply open the Editor, load the file, go to Nations. Add Condition > Name > type in the nation's name. Then Transfers and Contracts > Transfer Values > go to the top 3 reputation slots, and reduce the amount. Save, of course. If you need any help, feel free to PM me your questions. Realistic Competition Colors: Spoiler Over 400 competition colors updated and fixed. About 70% of the competitions in FM have inaccurate color schemes. These issues range from just mild color differences, to being completely off the mark. For example: Competition's colors: FM's version: Updated version: Colors can vary by opinion and logo version, so they won't be completely correct. But the idea was to create the "style" or "feel" of the competition. This file applies minor fixes to 160 competitions, and more major corrections to 260 competitions. Requires a new save. Before and Afters: v1.1 Update: FA Cup FA Youth Challenge Cup Ligue 1 Ligue 2 Serie A Jupiler Pro League Coupe Gambardella, thanks to @vourtsio Regionalliga Nord / Nordost / West / Südwest / Bayern, thanks to @vourtsio Realistic Weather: Spoiler Real-life annual weather data from weatherspark.com and climatestotravel.com was used to optimize current weather patterns, and create new ones. This file will do 2 things: 1. Help give the feeling of being in different countries. No longer does every region have a similar type of weather. For example, the Brazilian Amazon's Spring is now only 20% likely to be dry, instead of the original 60%(be prepared for delayed games!). It feels much more "tropical". The Spanish coast highly contrasts it, being most often very calm, dry, and mild. Originally, France used England's weather, and was 75% chance to be calm wind. Now, a match in France is 80% likely to be anywhere from breezy to extremely windy. Mexico will now either by dry or stormy. Swedish coast in the spring is no longer mostly 7-13 C, but can be anywhere from -7 to 21 C. 2. It will also, in some regions, increase whatever effect weather already has. Russian Siberia's winter is now TRULY cold, so if cold has ANY effect in the ME, it will be more apparent. Originally, winter in the Siberian region was mostly 0 to -7. It now is mostly -16 and below. On the other side, Mexican desert originally only reached 34 C at times. Now it can go above 43 C. Can you battle the down-pour from Kyushu, Japan's typhoon season, the below -20 temps in Russia, the sweltering heat of Mexico, or the hot summers and monsoons in Senegal? Or do you prefer the mild, sunny Mediterranean side of Spain? Germany (optimized 4, added Central Germany) Italy (optimized 4, added Italian Riviera) France (No original patterns, added 3 specific to France, Atlantic Coast, South, and Inland) Spain (optimized 7 original) Brazil (optimized 13 original Made more tropical, with much more rain(while trying to prevent waterlogged fields every day), added warmer temps with colder sections, and better wind) Portugal (minor changes) Holland (No original patterns, added 2 specific to Holland, Coast and Inland. Added wind, less rain, better temps) USA (optimized 29 original, fixed inaccurate weather/assignments) Belgium (No original patterns, added 2 specific to Belgium, Coast and Inland) Mexico (optimized to a wider range of temps, added Baja and Baja Desert, and more extreme heat in hottest areas) England (optimized 3 original, added English South West) Scotland (optimized 1 original, added Scottish Highlands) Russia (added COLD extremes for Siberia) China (some changes) Sweden (optimized basic temps) Iceland (No original patterns, added 4 specific to Iceland, Northeast, Northwest, Southern, and Capital Region. Overall colder, rainier, and less windy than Norway) Argentina (fixed 3 original climates, added 1 climate, fixed season start dates, warmer winters, extreme rain changes, more wind) Croatia (no changes) Japan (added "typhoons", added wind) Switzerland (added more rain) Turkey (fixed temperatures, added seasonal rain) Senegal (0 original - used southern america weather, added 2 unique climates, added "monsoons", massive rainfall for Southern in mid-year, hotter & longer summers, more northern wind) Australia (13 distinct climates varying in all weather types, but in general, increased temperatures, added wind, and a bit more rain/typhoons in proper places) No changes needed: Ireland, Wales, N. Ireland, Norway Derbies Overhaul: Spoiler 550+ NEW Derbies added, reworked all to create realistic national and world reputations Play the Derbi de la Turia (Levante vs Valencia) in Spain, the Derby de l'Atlantique(Nantes vs. Girondins de Bordeaux) in France, 1 of the 3 Glasgow derbies in Scotland, or the Flyde Coast(Blackpool vs. Fleetwood Town) in England. Make sure your players know what's at stake. The Fans do. Nations: Italy, England(over 150), Ireland, Scotland, France, Germany, Spain, Czech Republic, Denmark, Holland, Norway, Russia, Croatia, Greece, Switzerland, China, USA, and also International teams. Fixed unrealistic World Reputations : ex - Kairat Almaty vs Paxtako Toshkent had 110 World Reputation, the same as Weset Bromwich Albion v Aston Villa, or Nice vs Monaco Reworked most reputations, including making the top 10-20 most well known derbies in real life become the top 10-20 in game. Made fans care more about their own league's rivalries : ex: El Trafico(LA vs LA Galaxy) was 140 National Reputation, now 200. That means it’s working, because in the default database, Barcelona would normally start with 50m euros and more. What you are seeing is that even if the club starts at 0, they still have their clubs’ financial setup, so things will add money, like sponsorships, wage contributions from other clubs, fees from loaned out players, board investments, preseason friendlies, monthly payments from previously sold players, and more. This is why the Finance Fixes and Added Taxes file was created, because empty balances work to slow down the wealth for only a season or two. If you want to prevent clubs from amassing more wealth than they realistically should for every season, then that file is needed. It helps to balance things out. majesticeternity
Finished my first season with all these files, so here is my feedback. In my opinion, its amazing!! We were freshly promoted from English league one to Championship, so media put us at 250-1 for relegation. Used my own tactics, so as far as I know, not overpowered? Smarter AI: We were still able to finish 7th, nowhere near relegation, so still to easy, I say. BUT, I played every match and did anything I could to help win, like scout opposition, mark players, rotate, etc. I used NO match prep training though. As you see, we fell just short of playoffs in last 2 games. It was fantastic to play against the AI, and watch how they'd change formations, move players around, etc. Honestly, I'd still like it to be more difficult, as there were very few late goals...if I'd figured them out tactically, I mostly could come away with a win. But, notice the 104 points needed to beat the champions, it was a tough season and way more competitive overall. Having the top goal scorer AND Best Keeper in the entire league was still only good enough for 7th place! Having a few legends in the teams here and there was a joy, to watch them play and figure out how to keep them quiet. I dread the EPL, if this is that hard.... Injuries(using full option, not reduced): The longest injury was 7 weeks, and a FULL total first team of 25 players complete time out was 92 weeks, and about 12 of those of those were played with equipment. I have no idea how normal that is, but I also didnt try to reduce injuries other than resting after a match. To me its really good, as injuries are a thing to manage, and injury proneness is now vital. I found that a player who's not prone is rarely ever injured, but one who is often is injured and has to be really babied. You also can't just throw them into pre-season quickness training. On default FM, I used to just train for development and skip friendlies, so started the season with very low match sharpness, with little consequence. Not anymore, you really have to play friendlies and get sharpness and fitness up, THEN you can start training hard. During season, you can't run them into the ground. Resting, rotating, reducing jadedness and having fit recovered players are key to low injuries. As far as AI, I wonder if their medical center + injury prone players, are really important, as some teams have 1 player out and low injury rate, and other teams have 5 out at a time.... Youth Tournaments: I have almost all files loaded, only u18s running right now at this club, and I do wish the scheduling was able to be fixed, so it's not 2 days apart and then 5 days off. But, as long as I rest them the day after, they are fine and ready to go in those 2 days anyways. I really love this, it does feel like I am managing the team now, and have a much more realistic youth setup. For my club, I have a full 20 player u18 team, hired a head coach. I manage their training schedule and individual training, he manages everything else. So i am mostly hands off, but still involved some, and as if we are working together. For their bigger games, I will attend the match and watch them play. I play with no attributes seen, only analysis, so attending the matches a few times a season helps give me a good idea of their style. I read the youth match reports every time, to see if they get good ratings regularly or not. Then, when they hit 18, with no u23s, they are either loaned, sold, or put into the first team. It's been really nice to see a youth doing well in u18s, then make the leap to League One loan and score 2 goals and an assist on their debut. Transfer Prefs: There are a few anomalies, which is great, like real life. But mostly all logical realistic transfers. It makes it SO much nicer! Here in Championship, there are a few transfers from France, Portugal, etc, but the vast majority are within England. Finances Fixes & transfer market values: As I'm very poor, the taxes haven't hurt me much at all, even with starting at empty bank balance, and buying players, no selling, maxing out the wage budget and emptying the transfer budget, I still started the new season with almost $4m. I have the 22nd lowest payroll in the league, so I’m sure there will be financial growing pains in the future. As far as the rest of the league and world, transfer fees seem very good. In the Championship, there are ALOT of frees, which is great. Then the bigger transfers usually have addons, so the clubs are being smart with their transfers. balldoktor81
default with your file (finances) as expected the bank balance is different, that's ok...but you can see that (15 Mio) is at the Top and (20 Mio) at the Bottom...or is it because the brackets stand for Minus and therefore it is upside down...because of the changes you made in your file? wil it change over time? so it will look like in the default version? Darien
I think it's because of debts. Note that the losses in RED are in brackets, as are the numbers that indicate that they are upside down. They are right because the debt grows downwards visually.
balldoktor81
might be Darien...it sounds logical. But i looked it up for several teams and all look like this...so every team is in debt? and will improve over time... i hope majesticeternity can explain it. thanks in advance. Yes, Darien is probably right. But at the start especially, with nothing in the bank, they will have expenses, debts, etc. You are seeing their first initial financial setup, and it should work itself out. For example, my team is "new" with no debts and positive bank balance: Here is Real Madrid in Sep 2021 that has $135m remaining on their debt: Let me know if you have any other questions. balldoktor81
one can definitely not play press the whole time over the course of a season with an average team anymore...good job...it's raining injuries...you either need phisically strong players and good rotation as well as balanced training sessions well done! balldoktor81
the mix of both files made the game so much more fun!!! now you really have to work for your success...i started my first save with almost the highest badges possible (as always i will start another save with much lower badges ) ...took the OL Job in France...now you might think, well there is PSG, so no chance to be 1st...and we had no chance! PSG ran away with 30 point difference!!! i struggled so much...almost wanted to quit...but i did not! 3 games before the season ended it looked like we won't make it to the CL spot...i took over around middle of the season...at the begining it was more than ok...then we lost in semi final of the french cup against PSG 1:0 at home...it got rough afterwards...up and down...losing at home against middle table teams with one goal difference...never really got the attack going...i think we were almost dead last in attacking efficiency LOL...and the club demanded offensive football, well...BUT in the last 3 games we got 7 out of 9 points!!! i made some changes...back to starting with a counter tactic. first got a draw at PSG 1:1...then very important win at home against AS Monaco 2:0...so last game ahead of us...a must win at Dijon (16th) is needed to even get a sniff at the CL qualifying...we won 4:0! yeah...and everything else went our way... and now get that...we came in 2nd place, automatic qualification for the CL!!! BUT!!! 2-5 th place...every team had 65 points...incredible!!! WTF! what a season...i was jumping around like a little kid before christmas...did not quit...now the real challenge sets in...no more bursting bank accounts...i will probably have to sell my Defender...Denayer...my promising star Aour and my striker Dembele...so i can invest again.. i let my DOF make suggestions for transfers...well he did a good job bringing in Garcia from Man City and Lingard from Man U for free... we have to develop players and scout like a true magician to stay competitive. and CL money is the only option to even be around CL spots... great work majesticeternity and Daveincid!!!
