Using staff in unfamiliar role

Hi all,

Is there a Downside to using staff in a role that they have no familiarity of?

For example there are a few scouts that can be 4 or 4 1/2 star coaches. Apart from having to pay higher wages to get them to change roles are there any other drawbacks?

Staff do not have familiarity issues, so you can use any staff in any position, provided they're actually willing to sign the contract.

really? so if a staff role is a half yellow circle for a manager, that doesn't mean they will perform slightly worse as a manager?

The game shows you that those circles indicate their interest in that role.

I've never considered how similar the symbol for job interest and role familiarity are, it's no wonder it can be a cause of confusion.

That's interesting, I never knew that. When searching for a staff roll, there's 3 options, "Is" "partially" and "not". none of those imply interest, which is why i've always thought they meant familiarity.
