Fmhnunter
Hello everyone. What ways can help my team to concede less. I’m first in the league but I concede too many goals
Warman2018
You only have one person set to defend, everyone else is set to attack.. could be a slight issue mate
gunner86
Two wing backs, even on support, will push up more than Full Backs on Attack creating space on your wings. High defensive line also created space for first attackers on counters Edited October 19, 2021 by gunner86

KlaaZ
How many goals is too many? Could be just a perception issue. That said, two wing backs will expose you. You may want to have another midfielder in a role that's a bit more aggressive defensively as the halfback isn't really all that. For example, playing a BWM(S) on the left side would allow you to play with an attacking wing back there, and with the Mez(A) on the right, you could go for a more conservative full back on S or D there, or even an inverted wing back to cover the space he will leave. Piperita
Looking at the recent match analysis, the problem is not that you are defending too offensively. In fact, I'd say the opposite might be true: You are facing and conceding a lot of long shots which often comes from too much passivity in pressing. This looks like the main issue you have. If your players have the stats to do it, there are two changes I'd try: 1) Set the pressing urgency one tick more aggressively. If you are a top team on merit, it will be a relatively low risk. If luck plays factor, put it then down one tick on the central defenders. This should reduce the risk from long shots considerably as the opposition has less time to shoot and does not go as far forwards. 2) Use the offside trap. Higher DLine with regular LoE is very potent as it almost forces the opponent to either make mistakes in their own half or to play long balls as you absolutely dominate the midfield area. Against those the offside trap is a valuable asset to have. Otherwise the higher pressing will sooner rather than later make the red thumbs yellow but on the flipside the orange one will be bright red!
