Punch
APR 2034 - Match Day 43 - At Crystal Palace FC Match Report Spoiler A tougher fight than we might have expected against a team in 15th place, but they really made us fight for it. Our defence was brilliant, and Lewis grabbed an all important goal to secure the three points. Table Spoiler An important three points as Swansea also won, keeping the gap at one point. At the other end, Bristol become the second team confirmed to be relegated to League One. Up next...a tough match up in our second last game at The Bowl, and 7th place Watford come looking for points to get into the play off positions. Punch
APR 2034 - Match Day 44 - Vs Watford Match Report Spoiler Our boys keep their foot on the gas as we roll through Watford, meaning we have now racked up 17 goals in 4 games this month. A two minute brace to Millington, followed by goals either side of half time for Earl, who racked up his 39th, and 40th goals for the season, got the job done, and kept our winning run going. The defence also played their part, shutting down Watfords attacks, and keeping another clean sheet. Table Spoiler Swansea keep winning, so it seems we need to as well. Still just the one point separating us. Two teams secured play off spots, while at the other end, an MK Dons win makes for a very interesting finish to the season for a few teams. Up next...our final away game for the season as we head to 19th place Reading, for the second last game of the season.

Here’s hoping for winning news. West Ham to do the business in the playoffs? Two games to go. The way Swansea are playing we will need to win both to stay in front. West Ham should, but they have been very inconsistent over the last few months. They were unbackable favourites for the title, and have recently sacked their manager, while running third. So they are under plenty of pressure.

Punch
APR 2034 - Match Day 45 - At Reading FC Match Report Spoiler Reading really made us work for it, but an early brace to Earl was enough to get the job done. Reading hit back on half time, but we were able to hold them out to collect the points. Not our best performance, but effective enough. Table Spoiler So the exciting news, Swansea could only manage a draw, meaning even if we lost our final game, they would still have to overturn a 40 goal differential to take the title from us. One of the massive advantages of how prolific this team is at scoring goals, and how good our defence has been this season. At the other end of the table, MK Dons would need to overturn a 9 goal deficit, so they are as good as relegated. While there are still 4 teams that are capable of taking the last play off spot. So our next game, will be a double celebration, as we will get to say goodbye to The Bowl, and lift The Championship title, in front of our home crowd. Punch
APR 2034 - Match Day 46 - Vs Southend United Match Report Spoiler We say goodbye to The Bowl, and hello to a new Trophy, and do it in some style. Young forward Gowdy got us the first half goal, while our midfield and defence just ground Southend out of the game. The party really started in the second half as Gowdy completed his brace, and Earl scored his 43rd goal of the season in quick succession. Millington then completed the rout before full time and party could really kick off. Table Spoiler Best attack, best defence, and we get home by a single win to take a surprise title on the way to the Premier League. Watford hung on to take the final play off spot, while as expected, MK Dons were relegated. Up next...reviews for days.

Punch
APR 2034 A perfect month as we come from the clouds to take the title. The brilliant month takes us to the title. Our perfect month took me to the Manager of the Month award. Earl smashed in 8 goals this month on his way to the Player of the Month award. He also took out the Young Player of the Month, as we took out all three spots. A big loss this month as I went to the Board after our promotion to do some upgrades. After the new stadium is opened we are doing to upgrade the training facilities. They also agreed to upgrade the Youth facilities. They then decided to upgrade the Youth Rating, which is going to increase our costs. All that TV money might be needed soon.

Punch
2033-2034 Season Review - Player Stats Goalkeepers A magnificent season for Hodgson, cementing himself as one of the premier players in the League. He also managed a 100% save rate on penalties, scoring 4 goals, and 9 assists. Hodgson missed his first penalty this season, but now as 15 career goals. Defence The defensive line was the best in the League this season, and their improvement on last season was immense. We are going to need them to step it up again next season, if we are any chance of staying up next season. This bunch of young kids are showing abilities way beyond their years. Midfield Plenty of good stats from the midfield. I like Archie Adams work, a lot of passes, but also gets through a lot of defensive work, with so many intercepts to prevent attacking raids from getting to our defensive line. Levi Halliwell has been brilliant but will be leaving us as Cardiff don't want him to play for us in the same division. Forwards Andrew Earl, who nearly wasn't picked up at intake, has improved out of sight over the past two seasons, and scored over 60 goals, including a monster 43 this season. Pat Millington is one of the best players in the League, and has been promoted to club captain, and he sure does lead from the front. With a massive 27 goals, and also contributed 20 assists. Wes Heys is another attacking midfielder getting through a massive amount of defensive work, 103 intercepts, again preventing the attacking raids getting to our defensive line, while also contributing 18 goals and 8 assists. Gary Gowdy is showing improvement, and has massive potential. Will be interesting to see how he goes against Premier League level opposition. Andrew Earl has broken Jordan Williams season goal scoring record. Jordan Williams extended his own All Time goals record, and he is also closing in on Jordan Jack's All Time Matches record. Punch
2033-2034 Season Review - Awards A new record high finishing position. Earl had a massive season, and takes out the Player of the Year. He also added the Golden Boot, daylight was second. And to complete another hat-trick, he takes out the Young Player of the Year. Our efforts lead me to the Manager of the Year award. While we ended up with 6 players in the Team of the Year. That's a massive effort considering the quality of teams and players we went up against.

Punch
2033-2034 Season Review - Attributes Review Everyone's favourite time of year when we get to review the attribute growth for the course of the season. Goalkeepers Hodgson is still easily the number one, and was one of the best players in The Championship this season. He also had good attribute growth, and while he is approaching his max potential, there is still some room for growth. Foggarty is still the back up, and while he went backwards in attributes slightly, he went forward in CA. But he has now reached his max potential. GOod to see solid improvement from Jensen, who's PA is nearly as high as Hodgson, so will be interesting to see if he can push up and challenge him in the near future. A good growth year from Davies, who has plenty of potential as well. Defenders Center Pearce and Slack make a great combination in the center. Dave Keogh has shown great growth and will soon be pushing for a starting spot. Sheridan, Bannigan, and Logan complete the rotation, and have been getting plenty of game time as well. James Phelan is an exciting prospect who has the potential to make a great pairing with Keogh in the future. Right Kearney is clearly the number one on this side, and is ably supported by some of the central guys that can play multiple positions. The pickings get a bit slim in the right back position, so hoping that Kazalac can show his potential and push up. Left Bonner has agreed to another season on loan, and is the best we have on the left side. Smith is an able back up, while their are a few kids pushing up and showing impressive growth. We are going to need improvement in defence to continue if we are any chance of staying up next season. Midfielders Ball Winning Midfielders Adams is clearly our best player in this position, but he has very little support in this area. He is at his max potential so is unlikely to improve further, so will be very interesting to see how he handles the pressure in the Premier League. We are very light in this area, some of the AP's can fill in this role as well, so we might need to mix and match this position, if Adams need a rest. Advanced Play Makers Millington is the best player at the club, but spends most of his time playing at Striker. Swindell has shown impressive growth this season, so will be looking to him to step up, especially with the loss of Halliwell. Peliter and Riley will be back ups, and also help out on the BWM side when we need to rest Adams. Attacking Right Tomlin the clear number one, but is also at his max potential, so we will look to him for a lot this season. Suk-Kuen, also near his max potential, will be the back up. Hopefully Mutton and Challinor can step up to their potential. Attacking Left One of our weaker areas in terms of PA. Earl will spend most of his time up front, so we will need to get a lot out of Littler and Shanahan. Lea looks like an exciting prospect if we can keep him improving. Forwards Heys and Lewis will provide the rotation for Millington and Earl. Gowdy continues to improve, and has the highest PA of any player at the club. Williams has been a massive stalwart for the club but appears to have reached his potential, but his experience may be essential over a tough season ahead. There are a few kids coming up with plenty of potential, so hopefully they can keep improving and step into the rotation. Best XI We have the basis of a very good team, although we have some areas where we are a bit thin, we will have to hope we can make do with the rotation we have, and that some of the kids coming through can step up to the plate when required. Punch
JUN 2034 - Off season and pre-season things West Ham's collapse was completed after they lost the play off final in a shoot out. Our last season at The Bowl we broke our record average attendance, managing to sell out every League game. We have a new boss, as Bennett was beaten in the recent elections. A huge boost to our chances this season with solid left back Bonner agreeing to stay another season on loan. We welcomed our 5th Senior International as Dorian Smith was selected for Wales. We will open our campaign against Leeds, before playing our first League game in our new stadium against Tottenham. The new Board are expecting us to fight bravely against relegation, while setting expectations in the Cups. The Bookies are expecting us to be relegated. This is more money than we have ever seen before. The TV money is going to be huge to cover some of the extra costs we are going to incur this season. Our under 18s have been promoted to Division 2. Should be a good new challenge for these kids. Up next...out with the old, in with the new, as a new era begins for FC Isle of Man. Punch
Goodbye to The Bowl After 14 years we bid farewell to our inaugural home. Officially named The King George V Bowl, and simply known as The Bowl, and by FC Isle of Man fans as The Ravens Nest. When we kicked of our first season way back in North West Counties Leagues Division One South, step 6, division 10 in the English pyramid, The Bowl was a 3,000 capacity, all seater stadium, with synthetic field. As we worked our way up the League, we upgraded the capacity a few times, mostly to comply with League regulations, it went to 4,000 when we made it to the National League, and then 5,000 when we made the Football League, also requiring us to tear up the synthetic pitch, and lay a turf field, before it finally reached it's current level of just under 7,000. But with a maximum expansion capacity of 8,000, and Premier League rules requiring a minimum of 12,500, it was a no brainer that it was time to look at moving on. We also didn't own the ground, it was rented from Douglas Council. In 14 years this ground seen us through 8 League wins, 9 promotions, and 9 Cup wins, but the time has come for the Ravens to take flight, and create more history in a new home, that we can call our own. Up next...The Ravens nest - 2.
Punch
New beginnings... Welcome to The Ravens Nest 2.0 - FC Isle of Man Stadium (In reality, this is Banc of California Stadium, home of LAFC in the Major League Soccer. It has become one of my favourite new stadiums to use when a save gives me a new stadium, as I hate looking at the "coming soon" graphic, so I add this one in to cover the gap. It's just a pretty stadium to look at, especially the last two pics.) We welcome our new home as we make our debut in the English Premier League. A state of the art new facility, with upgraded training and youth facilities on the horizon as well. With an initial capacity of 13,778, which doubles our previous capacity at The Bowl, this should also bring financial security to the club. I took a look under the hood, and we have the expansion capacity to nearly triple the size of the ground to almost 38,000. The bean counters are already predicting up to 6,000 season tickets to be sold, and considering we sold out every League game in our two years in The Championship, I can see that it may not be too long before I need to approach the Board about expanding the capacity. An exciting time for the club, as we embark on two new adventures. Up next...Friendly season kicks off.

Punch
JUL 2034 - More pre season things & Friendlies A pre-season training camp in Spain was a huge success, before we played our first match at our new stadium, with a monster crowd rocking in for a friendly match. We started our new era with a thumping of York, and for the trivia question in future, Andrew Earl was the scorer of the first goal at FC Isle of Man Stadium, and it took him just four minutes to pick up from where he left off last season. Plenty of kids on international duty over the break. I received interviews from both Juventus and Chelsea, my two biggest clubs to date, and my first in Italy, but they were both unsuccessful. At the completion of the 2034 world Cup, I was offered 4 positions, but turned them all down as I am not interested in taking on an international position in this save. I received this update on season ticket sales, and it came with a button to expand stadium... So I pressed it, and we are putting in another 5k seats at the end of the season. We received a small sell on fee for a player we sold a few years ago. We sold another who's progress had stalled, and he was not likely to feature in first team calculations, so we sent him on his way to get some more playing time. The TV money is just huge. In one month it has wiped out all the losses from last season, and the off season. This graphic actually made me laugh. Near as makes no difference to 100 million behind Man U It's time for the biggest show on earth. We're about to become a Premier League team. Punch
AUG 2034 - Match Day 1 - At Leeds United FC Match Report Spoiler A stunning result as we kick off our Premier League career with an upset win over the highly fancied Leeds, at Elland Road. It was that man again who has been so influential over the last two years, Andrew Earl who got us on the board after 20 minutes, to score our first ever goal on the top flight. It was then one of the other main players, John Hodgson, who made a string of important saves to keep the Leeds attack scoreless. Overall a wonderful start to our life in the Premier League. Punch
AUG 2034 - Match Day 2 - Vs Tottenham Hotspur Match Report Spoiler The full house signs went up for our first home Premier League game, in our new stadium. Kaine Tomlin gets the be the trivia answer for scoring the first League goal in the new stadium, as we stunned Hotspur early, They leveled on 28 minutes, before a 3 minute goal frenzy seen us go to the break 2-2. Tottenham showed their class in the second half and pulled away scoring two more goals to take the match 2-4. While a disappointing scoreline, it was a massive effort to push one of the best teams in the competition for the first hour of the match. A full house of course means we smashed our attendance record. Table Spoiler We dropped to the bottom half of the table, but to be fair, I expect that is where we will spend a lot of time. Up next...a massive test already as we travel to the blue side of Manchester to take on City. Even though we are above them on the table, I expect this to be an extremely tough match. Punch
AUG 2034 - Match Day 3 - At Manchester City Match Report Spoiler A stunning result that feels almost as good as a win as we take a point off City in their own backyard. City made all the running but couldn't convert their chances, as our defence done enough to hold them at bay. They finally stuck just before half time, but then mentally switched off as youngster Gary Gowdy stole in and caught their defence napping to level the scores on the stroke of half time. City came out and went hard at us to secure the points, and finally got their reward on the hour mark. But with 10 minutes to go, that man again, Andrew Earl caught out some lazy defence and slammed home an equaliser to shock the 55k spectators. This was one of those games that I was not expecting anything from, so for these kids to steal a point is a massive effort, and testament to their never say die attitude. Table Spoiler We stay in the same position, but it's the accumulation of points that is the most important. Up next...League Cup Round 2 action as Wigan travel to FC IoM Stadium. Young Keeper Jensen scored his first goal, but Gyazo was playing up so I couldn't gif it. Our first Cup game at the new stadium breaks our gate record. Round 3 Draw Spoiler Our new stadium plays host to Rochdale for Round 3 We have a 3-0 record, and this is a game we should be winning. Up next...we travel to Everton in a return to League action. Punch
AUG 2034 To be honest, I'd call that a brilliant debut month. If someone had offered us a win, a draw, and a loss in our first three EPL games, we'd have jumped at it. We might be below average statistically, which is to be expected, but we are performing fairly well in both attack, and defence. I'd have been happy with 1 point, because to be fair, from those first three games, we could have taken none, and been belted in all of them. So to have taken 4 points, and not be in the relegation zone is a massive achievement in our debut season. These kids are up for the fight. Showing he is comfortable at this level, Andrew Earl was runner up in the Player of the Month. Player Stats Not a lot of information to look at yet, but interesting to see how the players are going early on. Goalkeepers While it's only been three games, Hodgson has taken to Premier League life like a duck to water, and although he's conceded 6 goals in those games, 4 of those were in one match, he's also making 6 saves a game, keeping us competitive. Just the one match for Jensen in the League Cup, and he performed extremely well. Defence Dave Keogh has been the surprise packet, being one of our best defenders at the moment. Slack, Kearney and Smith make up the remainder of the starting line up, all of whom have been keeping Pearce out of the line up. IN spite of conceding 4 in the one match, I am still pretty happy with how the defence is going. Midfield Kearney is playing in defence, Swindell and Adams have been the main starters in the center. Adams has been performing pretty well, without a lot of luck, while Swindell has been a bit off the pace. There is a change coming for the next match, explined under the forwards section. Forwards Andrew Earl has been impressive to start the campaign up front. Pat Millington has been a bit out of sorts up front, and Gary Gowdy has been the same on the wing, so the time has come to make a change, and for the next match, I am moving MIllington back to central midfield to team up with Adams, and moving Gowdy up front with Earl. This will give us more experience in the midfield, and more pace up front. We will see how that goes. Our U23 squad is playing competitive games this season, and will also be involved in the Pizza Cup. The TV Revenue makes a huge difference, and we are now making money each month. Build it, and they will come. We smashed our season ticket sales, and this is why I didn't think the stadium would be big enough. Our first home game resulted in our first sell out at the new stadium. Capacity increase coming next season. We broke the gate record in the League Cup game, which was not quite a sell out. We are going to receive about 90k in total for the sell on of a former player, on top of the 325k we originally sold him for. We are nearly not even on the map on this graph, spending 6 million a week...a week...less than Man U We are more than 2.5 million a week below the League average. Mind boggling numbers. Four games next month, including our first EPL TV game. We have an unbeaten record in TV League games, so will be looking to keep that record alive. If we can score another 4 points, I would be over the moon.
Punch
SEP 2034 - Match Day 4 - At Everton Match Report Spoiler A few positional changes paid huge dividends as we stunned Everton. Millington and Adam ran riot in midfield, while Gowdy was an absolute pest among the Everton defensive line, scoring the first goal before half time. Two late goals off the bench completed the upset victory, while keeper Hodgson has another clean sheet to his name. Table Spoiler I said I would be happy with 4 points this month, and we already have three of them, which rocketed us up the table into 6th spot. Up next...Last place Burnely travel to FC IoM Stadium. Punch
SEP 2034 - Match Day 5 - Vs Burnely FC Match Report Spoiler The line up change continues to pay dividends as we thumped struggling Burnley for our first League win in our new stadium. Adams and Millington were in control in midfield, while Gowdy continued to be a complete pest up front, but it was young winger Shanahan who slotted home the first goal of the match to send us to the break 1-0. We continued to control the match, before a late burst with Gowdy and Earl scoring within a few minutes to give us a solid win. Table Spoiler It's official, we're on our first ever Premier League winning streak. I wanted 4 points this month, we're on 6 after two games. There are some tougher matches to come, but I was targeting this game as a possible win. Anything we pick up now is just a bonus. Up next...We host Newcastle at FC IoM Stadium, who will be looking to kick start a disappointing season so far.
