Punch
SEP 2041 A cracking month as we win all our games in every competition. The Analyst is happy with our performance both ways. A tight table, too early in the season to read too much into it yet. Stats Goalkeepers Defence Midfield Forwards We've moved up to third place on this list. A good month financially after player sales. This list is almost laughable between Man U and Sunderland. We are slowly moving up this table as we have been gradually upgrading contracts. Tough League games, two Champions League games, and the rotated squad will get the chance to advance in the League Cup.
Punch
OCT 2041 - Group Stage 2nd Match - Vs AS Monaco FC Match Report Spoiler A dominant performance as Monaco's offence was completely shut out by our defence, not registering a single shot on target. A thumping header on 14 minutes from Harden gave us the lead and allowed us to control the tempo. We were creating plenty of chances but it took two late goals from Gowdy, and Pilkington off the bench, to seal the win. A win and a £1.7 million+ gate makes for a profitable day. Table Spoiler A narrow win for our next opponent in the other match. We top the group after two games, and if we can get a result against Schalke in our next match, it will send us a long way towards qualification for the next round. Up next...Derby Day, as we travel to Anfield for the Manannan Derby against Liverpool.
Sonic Youth
A good month. Looks like the goals scored have dropped a little. Is it time to start the process of asking for a new stadium with the wages creeping up? Next month is definitely a more challenging month than the one that just passed.

It's funny, you look at the goal scoring and see it's dropped, and think Gowdy seems to have done nothing all season, and yet he still has 6 goals in 8 games. I think we definitely need to build a bigger stadium, but I don't think they will go for it yet. Some big games coming up.

Punch
OCT 2041 - Match Day 8 - At Liverpool FC Match Report Spoiler A brutal Manannan Derby as we edge out Liverpool at Anfield. Two of our kids linked up to provide the games only goal as Jay Lee picked out Khaled Hussein, who buried his shot. The rest of the match turned into a foul-a-thon and cards galore, but no more goals. It was a match short on quality, but we took the three points. Table Spoiler A Gunners loss means we jump to 2nd, while Man U remain undefeated. Up next...an international break, before we welcome Burnley to The Isle. Punch
OCT 2041 - International Break 38 players called up over Senior and Youth squads. Punch
OCT 2041 - Match Day 9 - Vs Burnley FC Match Report Spoiler We struggled our way through a tougher match than it should have been against the lowly Clarets. We created plenty of opportunities but the visitors held firm through to the half time break, although we got an advantage when they had a player sent off a few minutes before. The chances continued through the second half, but we couldn't find the net. Youngster Khaled Hussein had been running riot all match was brought down in the box on 70 minutes, allowing Gary Gowdy to step up and convert the penalty to finally give us the lead. Two minutes later, he Hussein was at it again picking up a Christian pass before carving his way through the defence before slamming home his shot to give us a 2-0 lead and finally secure the points. We are still not playing anywhere near our best, but doing enough to get the job done. Table Spoiler Still holding 2nd in a jammed table. Up next...We host Schalke in the Champions League, a win would go a long way to securing qualification for the knockout stages.
Punch
OCT 2041 - Group Stage 4th Match - Vs FC Schalke 04 Match Report Spoiler 6 of the best indeed as we put in a dominant performance to blow the Germans off the pitch by half time. Two early goals and two late goals gave us a 4-0 lead at the break, and enabled us to cruise through the second half. Two late goals completed a 6-0 rout, and a solid defensive performance to keep a clean sheet as well. Another win keeps the money coming in. Table Spoiler Monaco thumped Basel in the other match. Sending us 5 points clear at the top, so we should easily qualify for the knockout stage from here, but still plenty of win bonus on the line for motivation. Up next...back to League action as we welcome 12th place Leicester to The Isle.
Punch
OCT 2041 - Match Day 10 - Vs Leicester City FC Match Report Spoiler The up and down performances continue as we create a mass of chances, but short on quality finishing. The defence held firm limiting The Foxes to one shot on target. A goal in either half, the first to youngster Khaled Hussein who is going from strength to strength, and in the second to Gary Gowdy, was enough to seal the win. Table Spoiler We still hold 2nd place. The crazy result this season continue Liverpool just two points outside the relegation zone. Punch
OCT 2041 - League Cup 4th Round - Vs Barnsley FC Match Report Spoiler The rotated squad went berserk creating 32 shots on goal, while managing to shut down The Tykes attack. A second half penalty, and a late sealer were enough to send us through to the next round. The draw is not until early next month. Up next...a tough match up away to Arsenal. Punch
OCT 2041 Three League wins, two Champions League wins, and a League Cup win, scoring 16 goals, and conceding none. That's some statement. Analyst super happy with the defence, but the attack not so much, even though we are winning, we have slipped into the wasteful ways of days gone by. We sit 2nd, one point behind the undefeated Manchester United. Looks like it's flipped back to the other side of Manchester that we need to beat to the title again this season. Hussein has gone from a fringe player to an automatic selection on the left wing this season. Stats Goalkeepers Defence Midfield Forwards After the last round of internationals, we now have 7 players in the England squad. It wasn't an aim of the save, but it's a unique little record for our little club in the Irish sea to be producing the most players for the England team. We take a loss this month, but we are still well up on the season. A big month coming up, we play 3rd and 1st in the League, and two massive Champions League games as well. Punch
NOV 2041 - Match Day 11 - At Arsenal FC Match Report Spoiler An important match and we turn in one of our worst performances for several seasons. It was telling that we were thrashed 0-3, yet our best player was our goal keeper. The less said about this performance, the better. Table Spoiler We drop to third on goal difference, luckily, several teams below us had a bad round as well, which limited the damage. Up next...we need to put in a better performance than that as we travel to Germany to take on Schalke in the Champions League, a win would go a long way to qualifying us for the knockout stages. Punch
NOV 2041 - Group Stage 4th Match - At FC Schalke 04 Match Report Spoiler A hard fought draw in Germany. A early goal to Hoey, but we conceded our first goal of the competition just before half time. The second half turned into an arm wrestle with neither side able to find a winner. We share the points and the prize money. Table Spoiler Monaco knocked over Basel in the other match. One more point from our final two games will be enough to send us through to the knockout stages. A brace each for Hoston and Gowdy, and the defence put in a solid shift to keep a clean sheet as well. A good day at the office after a few stumbles lately. Punch
NOV 2041 - Match Day 13 - Vs Manchester United Match Report Spoiler A cracker at The Isle as we knock over The Red Devils. We had to rest several players still recovering from their international duties, and then got into a free flowing back and forth, as both sides played to their attacking strengths. With Gowdy resting on the bench, Tamara scored a brace of penalties, with Hoston and Hoey adding the extras as we managed to out score and out last the visitors. Table Spoiler Arsenal beat us, Man U beat Arsenal, and we beat Man U...all in the space of three games, making for tight table. Punch
NOV 2041 - Grup Stage Match 5 - Vs FC Basel 1893 Match Report Spoiler A dominant performance to thrash Basel, and it could have been worse as we had three goals disallowed. Youngster Pache's star continues to rise as he blasted home a header on 4 minutes, a double from Stepien, and then Hoston rounded out the scoring on the hour, to make for a good day at the office. Back in the winners circle, keeps the money rolling in. Table Spoiler Monaco won a tight one over Schalke, eliminating them in the process. We qualify for the First Knockout Round, and unless Monaco beat us by 10 goals in the final match of the Group Stage, we should qualify in first place. Punch
NOV 2041 - Match Day 14 - Vs Sheffield Wednesday FC Match Report Spoiler A dominant performance as the high flying Owls are shot down at The Isle. Some rotation in the team after our midweek win over Basel, resulted in Aled Harden playing up front, and getting us off to a flyer, scoring in the first minute. Second half goals to Challinor and Hussein completed the scoring, and the defence put in a solid performance to keep a clean sheet. Table Spoiler A win for Man U keeps the gap at one point. Punch
NOV 2041 We started off the month getting hammered by Arsenal before a Champions League draw at Schalke, but we then went on a 4 game winning run scoring 16 goals and conceding only 2. A happier Analyst this month as the defence has been great, and the attack has moved in the right direction. We hold a single point lead over Man U, with some of the chasing pack to play tomorrow. Stats Goalkeepers Defence Midfield Forwards Awards Gary Gowdy took out the Goal 50 award for the second straight year. Also added to his list of awards with the goal of the month. Craig Hoston was the Young Player of the Month, while another youngster, Jay Lee too out 3rd place. We are producing the most players in the Premier League, more than twice the next best. While Gary Gowdy has had a seemingly quiet start to the season, he banged in a penalty in the first half, and a cracking free kick in the second half to complete the scoring. The defence kept another clean sheet. Not our best performance, but encouraging that we got the job done. Table Spoiler Still holding a single point lead. Up next...Leeds travel to The Isle. Punch
DEC 2041 - Match Day 16 - Vs Leeds United FC Match Report Spoiler Domination at The Isle as Leeds were blown off the park by half time. AN early brace for Gowdy, before Challinor completed his own brace in 7 minutes had us up 4-0 at the break. Pilkington made it 5 after half time, before another rising star, Luca Pache made it 6-0 with a thumping header. Another brilliant defensive performance as well, as Leeds attack was limited to two shots on target, and keeping a clean sheet. Table Spoiler The one point lead remains. Punch
DEC 2041 - Group Stage 6th Match - At AS Monaco FC Match Report Spoiler We were probably the second best team, but still found a way to win. I also found a way to fit our two young guns, Hussein and Pache in the same team...leave Gary Gowdy out An early strike from Hussein, and then we weathered the storm to lead 1-0 at the break. A brace from Pache in the second half and we'd stormed away to a 3-0 lead. The hosts pulled one back before full time, but the match was already gone by then. Another win, and more prize money. Punch
DEC 2041 - Match Day 17 - At Nottingham Forest Match Report Spoiler A thumping win over the Tricky Trees. Craig Hoston pounced on a defensive error from the hosts to give us an early lead. On the half hour, Martin Challinor was brought down in the box, allowing Gary Gowdy to step up and bury the spot kick to put us 2-0 up at half time. Straight after the break, it was our own defensive lapse that allowed Forest to pull one back. On the hour, Challinor picked out Gowdy to smash home a brilliant volley, to complete his brace, and secure the points. Punch
DEC 2041 - League Cup Quarter Final - Vs Swansea City AFC Match Report Spoiler The kids put in a great shift, out playing The Swans, but lacking the execution to finish them off. We took an early lead, but gave up a goal either side of half time to fall behind. Attacking well, and creating plenty of chances, but just couldn't get the ball in the net. We go out in the Quarter FInal, but as the Board had no expectations on this competition, it was just being used to gain experience for the young players. Punch
DEC 2041 - Match Day 18 - Vs West Ham United Match Report Spoiler A brilliant defensive performance and three goals make for a great day out at The Isle. Gowdy got us off to a flyer with a headed goal, a rarity for a player with the jumping ability of a house brick Craig Hoston smashed home a tidy finish to put us 2-0 up at the break. We cruised through the second half, shutting down The Hammers attack, before young Hussein volleyed home a stunner to wrap it up. The kids ran amok, scoring early goals, and then just kept on scoring. By the time the dust had settled, with put 6 past them, and managed to keep a clean sheet. Punch
DEC 2041 December is always a packed month, and it was no different this year. Aside from our League Cup exit, we won 6 from 6 in the league, conceding only 2 goals, and also won our final Champions League Group match. A very happy Analyst as we show the best defence in the league, and the attack is pretty impressive as well. The table agrees with the Analyst, the bet attack, and our defence has conceded only 12 goals in 20 games. We hold an 8 point lead over The Gunners and Man u, although Arsenal have already played their 21st game. Stats Goalkeepers Youngster Peter Bass made his debut in the League Cup loss. Defence Midfield Forwards Awards Craig Hoston won the World U21 Footballer of the Year. And then the Gary Gowdy show took over... Gowdy basically won everything for the second year in a row...and still only 26. Our perfect League month lead me to another Manager of the month award. Punch
JAN 2042 - FA Cup 3rd Round - Vs Colchester United FC Match Report Spoiler A stunning result as a slightly rotated squad ran riot over our League Two opponents. Hussein got on the board with an early brace, and the scoring just didn't stop. The visitors didn't help their own cause, having two players sent off, and scoring a goal for us. But a very complete performance. A record win as well. 4th Round Draw Spoiler Another League Two opponent in a so far kind draw this season. A good record, but again, a long time since we last met. Punch
JAN 2042 - Match Day 24 - At Sheffield United FC Match Report Spoiler The struggling Blades put up a solid defensive effort for the first 70 minutes to hold our attack at bay, but we exploded to life in the final 20 minutes, blazing home to a 4-0 win. Gary Gowdy finally broke the dead lock on 72 minutes, before Taylor Reid put it beyond doubt just before full time. Youngster Khaled Hussein scored an injury time brace to end the scoring at a somewhat flattering 4-0. A 4-0 scoreline was probably a bit harsh on the hosts, but for us, a clean sheet and three points makes for a good day. Table Spoiler The top 4 all win, keeping our lead at 5 points. Punch
JAN 2042 - Match Day 25 - At Norwich City Match Report Spoiler Our recent battles with The Canaries continued with another epic battle ending in a stalemate in Norwich. All the scoring happened before the clock had reached 10 minutes, with Gowdy giving us the lead on 8 minutes, before the hosts struck back almost immediately. The crowd was then treated to a cracking 80 minutes of end to end football, both sides creating plenty of chances, but none were taken. Norwich came the closest smashing a shot against the bar in the final 10 minutes. So we take a share of the points with us. Table Spoiler We drop points to United who close the gap to 3 points. Punch
JAN 2042 - FA Cup 4th Round - Vs Shrewsbury Town FC Match Report Spoiler A brilliant result as we sent a young squad out against the League Two outfit. They dominated from start to finish slamming in three quick first half goals to send us to the 5th Round, including a first senior goal for the club, for young striker Fernando Browne. We scored three, but in reality the score could have ended up anything with 19 shots on target, and another 4 that hit the post. Winning keeps the money rolling in. Round 5 Draw Spoiler A tough draw in the 5th round as we host the in form Arsenal at The Isle. Punch
JAN 2042 - Match Day 26 - Vs Sunderland AFC Match Report Spoiler A cracking result against a Sunderland team who have been pretty ordinary this season. We pressured them from the kick off and it seemed only a matter of time before the flood gates opened. Our job was made easier after 20 minutes when they had a player sent off for a shocker of a tackle, giving them 70 minutes to defend with ten. Despite a mass of chances, it was just a single Lewis Hoey goal that had us in front at half time. We kept the pressure up in the second half, and while the visitors were brave, the flood gates did eventually open, with three different scorers allowing us to run away with a 4-0 win. Four different goal scorers, three points, a clean sheet, and a solid defensive performance, makes for a good day at the office, and a happy manager. Table Spoiler The Gunners take 2nd place with Man U inactive, but our lead is 6 points. Up next...we welcome Liverpool to The Isle for a monster Manannan Derby. Punch
JAN 2042 After a rough start to the month, we turned it around in a hurry, finishing off strongly. The Analyst is happy with both directions of our play. We cling to a 6 point lead. Gary Gowdy is really starting to warm into the season.
