A dominant performance as Burnley are eventually put to the sword.

For all our efforts in the first half, we had just a single Craig Hoston goal to give us the lead at half time.

We continued to press in the second half, and went on a burst of 3 goals in 7 minutes, Gary Gowdy scoring twice, and Burnley managing to turn one into their own goal in a comedic goal line scramble sent the ball ping ponging around off three of their own players before crossing the line.

They did manage to put one in the correct net 5 minutes later, to complete the 4-1 victory.

A dramatic come from behind win as we beat The Gunners deep into injury time.

A tight opening to the match and the visitors took the lead on 20 minutes.

Six minutes later Aled Harden stunningly volleyed home a Lewis Hoey cross to level the scores.

It stayed level to half time, and the arm wrestle continued through the second half.

With the game seemingly heading towards extra time, Simon Johnson found some space to curl in a cross, which was met on the volley by Craig Hoston to secure a 95th minute winner, sending us to the Quarter Final.

Tight at the top of the table, playing well and progressing in cups. Good time for Gowdy to warm into the season

Yeah, we just seem to have switched which side of Manchester we have to fight

Gowdy seems to have hardly gotten out of second gear this season, yet he still has a bag full of goals, leading the Premier League.

The Foxes gave us a tough fight, and a bit of a fright along the way.

The hosts went close to scoring twice, rattling the goal post twice, before we almost got the winner with Aled Harden striking the post as well.

In the shadows of full time when it looked like the points were being shared, Simon Johnson found some space down the wing, before picking out a great cross to find Gary Gowdy in space, who slid home his shot to seal the three points.

A tough fight, not our best game, but we done enough to keep the points rolling along.

Goals either side of half time to Harden and Hoey capped off a great all round performance.

It was 1st V 3rd, and it lived up to the billing, with a brutal clash at The Isle.

Nearly 30 fouls, the Referee handed out 8 yellow cards, and we struck the post twice, but we had to settle for a share of the points.

After the visitors took the lead on the half hour, we were really struggling to make in roads.

But some substitutions around the hour make started to turn the tide, and created a few more opportunities.

Gary Gowdy and Michael Pilkington both had chances off the posts, before Pilkington finally drilled home a Billy Johnson cross to equalise.

So we managed to avoid being beaten twice by The Gunners this season.

A monster top of the table clash at Old Trafford where a win could have given us one hand on the title, but it all fell apart in the final 5 minutes.

It was a tough match, with both teams brilliant defensively, allowing each other to create very few chances.

It looked like Gary Gowdy had given us the win with 5 to play, but it was ruled out for an offside player in the lead up.

It went from bad to worse, as David Kearney was given his marching orders for a clumsy foul which earned him a second yellow. I am not even sure where to check, but I think that was our first red card in the Premier League for at least 2-3 seasons.

From the ensuing free kick, Glynn Crosby clattered into a Man U player in the box, and the Ref pointed to the spot, and they made no mistake, burying the penalty to take the lead, and with it, the win.

While we may not have done enough to win, we probably didn't deserve to lose like that either.

MAR 2042 - Youth Intake

The class of 42 has arrived, and after a few years of lackluster intakes, this one shows some promise.

346598145_YI1.png.b88b289da43fc6d1bf06d1603a916aef.png

The stars are almost worth completely ignoring as they don't tell an accurate story.

Forsyth, a pacy winger come striker if his finishing improves, but has the highest PA we have seen for several years. A very exciting prospect.

1596744374_YI6.png.a40cd98512de333440dcb61c0ab26124.png

Brown is another pacy winger come striker, who again has some very exciting numbers, and could be another exciting prospect.

2091181392_YI7.png.0d83bc8d4a9440537fcba5d044a20600.png

Hallahan, the only IoM native in the intake, but also another pacy winger, with the highest potential to transition to striker, with a finishing of 9 already.

1585209932_YI3.png.f6221e30b971c230642bf27d5134473e.png

Just the one IoM native in the bunch this year, so England is catching up, while we had two from Cyrpus this year.

1680191025_YI4.png.120457703ce868b4c77eddcedc76b930.png

A couple from London has them close to taking second place.

So after a few seasons of less than impressive intakes, where we took less than half the players, it's nice to see a lot of potential coming out of the Academy this season.

Definitely some quality prospects in there.

Wingers are always welcome as our tactic tends to be pretty harsh on them.

Gary Gowdy extended his records in both appearances and goals.

Aled Harden scored his 50th senior international goal.

We welcomed 3 new senior internationals, with Jay Lee debuting for Wales, Kenny Healey for Ireland, and Nicholas Wilkinson became our first ever Jamaican representative.

MAR 2042

A strange month this month as Cup Fixtures and the International break meaning we only played two League games...and we didn't win either of them.

We turned it around advancing in the Champions League, and the FA Cup.

1017769104_MARAnalyst.png.ad00f648ba81c6b6cc2f0ce45c2f2d56.png

Not many games to report on this month, but the defence is still strong, while our attack stumbled a little.

1493757823_MARTable.png.6870b93fafd8cb12e64b34afc8387ad2.png

A draw to 3rd and a loss to 2nd, along with Cup commitments means we have fallen to second place.

Those Cup commitments mean we are also two games behind those teams around us, and will need to make the most of them if we want to defend our title.

With a lot of players still recovering from International duty, we had to play a fairly rotated squad against the struggling Fulham.

The visitors took a shock early lead, before young striker Fernando Browne got us back on level terms.

Fulham scored a second for us, with a calamitous own goal.

Michael Pilkington made it 3 before half time with a well taken penalty.

Just after the hour, Pilkington completed his brace, and secured the three points.

A great all round performance from a heavily rotated squad.

APR 2042 - Race to the Title

RTtT.png.1e1f8c29bf2d2407dfc85c213a9e24b8.png

The race for the Premier League Title is on.

We hold a game in hand, which could prove vital, as Man U and ourselves have a very similar run home.

Arsenal probably have the easiest run home, but would need some big slip ups from the top 2 to claim the title.

All three of us have played each other twice, so there are no 6 point matches left.

The Ravens trying to back up their maiden title, Man U trying to claim the throne back after three years in the wilderness, and The Gunners trying to throw a spanner in the works...should make for an exciting finish to the season.

As a footnote, Man U are out of the Champions League and FA Cup, so only have to worry about League games.

Arsenal are out of the FA Cup, but are still in the Champions League.

We have both Champions League and FA Cup matches to negotiate.

Trouble!

In fairness, we held our own against the Spanish juggernaut, in front of over 80 thousand, but their finishing was just far more clinical than ours.

Two down by 20 minutes, we finally started to get back into the match in the second half, but we just couldn't get the ball in the net.

Two off the timber, and some fantastic saves by their keeper, and it just wasn't our night.

We have it all to do in the 2nd Leg in a weeks time.

With players still struggling from the mid-week trip to Spain, we had to heavily rotate the squad, giving chances to some of the younger kids as well.

While the scoreline only ended up 2-0, it was a near total domination from start to finish.

The job was made a lot easier when one of their players copped two yellows in three minutes, but we were already on top at that point.

Young striker Fernando Browne continued his good form when filling in for Gowdy, giving us the lead on 8 minutes.

Martin Challinor missed the chance to put us 2 up at the break, seeing his penalty saved.

Another youngster, Luca Pache sealed the points just after the hour mark.

The score could have ended up anything, but we will take the three points and move on.

A stunning result as we overturn a 0-2 1st Leg deficit to shock the Spanish giants, and book a place in the Semi Final.

We needed to make a positive start, and it was Craig Hoston, who had been on a long goal scoring drought, who rocked the visitors and give us a chance.

Ten minutes later, Hoston secured his brace and leveled up the tie...Game on.

The next hour was a brutal back and forward, with few chances, and a lot of work for the Ref, who handed out 10 yellow cards along the way.

Two all heading into injury time, and just as it looked like we are headed for extra time, come the hour, come the man.

Gary Gowdy intercepted a pass and beat two defenders on his way to the edge of the area, where he chipped the advancing keeper to put us ahead for the first time in 180 minutes.

At the time of the biggest moment in our clubs history, our biggest player steps up to deliver.

Always a tough assignment against The Foxes at King Power, and so it proved again, with an epic battle, ending in a penalty shoot out.

Both sides went at it in the opening stages, but it was the host who got on the board first, taking the lead on 21 minutes.

We had to chase the game, and while we created chances, we really struggled to put them away, as Leicester's defence held firm.

On 70 minutes, Luca Pache found space to thread a ball through the needle onto the foot of Craig Hoston who drove home the equaliser.

Neither side could find a winner in regulation, so we went to extra time.

The tough encounter continued with neither side giving an inch, although Leicester came the closest, smashed a long range shot against the bar with Hodgson wrong footed. That would be as close as either side got though, and we went to penalties.

Our boys kept their cool, smashing home all 5 chances, and it was John Hodgson again who came up massive to save the hosts 3rd shot.

Even though one of our own scored against us, Luke Rudd scoring their 4th attempt, it was left to Isle of Man native, Stewart Kearney to calmly slot home and book our place at Wembley.

A suffocating performance as we shut out The Tricky Trees, blunting their offence with only one shot on target.

Gary Gowdy converted an early penalty to allow us to control the match.

While we didn't create a huge number of chances, but our defence was huge, continually shutting down Forest chances, and getting us going back forward again.

Just after the hour, Aled Harden sealed the win, heading home a Glynn Crosby cross.

A solid win with a slightly rotated squad, saving some legs for the upcoming 2nd Leg of our Champions League Semi Final in Italy against Inter.

Man U thumped Newcastle to keep the gap at 5 points, meaning we need to win one of our last two games to secure back to back titles.

Up next...we head to Italy to take on Inter Milan in the 2nd Leg of our Champions League Semi Final. We hold a 4-0 lead, so just need to avoid disaster to qualify for our first ever Champions League Final.

It wasn't pretty, but mission accomplished as we leave Italy with the win, and a place in the Champions League Final.

Carrying a big 4-0 lead from the 1st Leg, the hosts needed to chase the game but our defence held firm, and our midfield continued to break down their forward runs.

Jay Lee had a blinder both ways, and on 50 minutes sealed the result.

We're off to the big dance, and the treble is still alive.

After knocking out Real Madrid in the Quarter Final, we get Atletico in the Final.

The Final being in Spain will almost be a home game for them.

We have met in two previous knockout stages, managing to win them both, but this will be an entirely different scenario.

Up next...it's West Ham week, as we meet twice in four days, with the potential to for us to lift two Trophies. Our first meeting is an away League trip, which a win would secure the League Title, we then meet at Wembley in the FA Cup Final.

Mission accomplished as we secure back to back Premier League Titles.

Gary Gowdy gave us the lead on 20 minutes, before one of our IoM natives, Marco Petrosino scored the equaliser for the hosts.

From there it was all one way traffic as Gowdy secured a hat-trick, while Hoston and Tamara added goals to complete a 5-1 rout.

We wrap up the title with an exclamation mark.

Man U were the Title favourites at the beginning of the season, but despite taking the League lead a few weeks ago, they have lost 2 of their last 3 to fall away and hand us the title.

We can now relax and enjoy the party at The Isle for our final league game of the season.

Up next...West Ham again as we head to Wembley for the FA Cup Final, and a chance to lift our second trophy in four days.

A hattrick by Gowdy to win the league

Congrats :applause:

Also on making the ECL final too!

Big couple of games to play coming up :D

He comes up big when we need him.

It was a slow burn to start the season, but it's all coming to the boil nicely at the pointy end.
