just to let all members know the maximum amount of members allowed in the clan now is 15 instead of 14. The reason why we have decided to allow an extra member is because erm well we just did because of all the people on our clan waiting list. This shouldnt effect the games anyhow so they should still run at the same speed that they currently do. See you all in the clan chatroom tonight for the session where we should be joined by 2 new members so welcome them icon_smile.gif

Playing very well lately with Stuart Elliot and Jason Price running the show for Hull. We seem to be quite solid at the back and we are always a threat on the attack. With Capi up front too im hoping he will start hitting really good form too. So all in all im hoping for a very good session tonight and looking to start pulling away at the top of league all fingers crossed. If all else fails ive got contacts in special places and favours owed by powerful figures..

23/12/2003

Doncaster are lying in seventh place so not expecting a easy ride.

Opening minutes Hull take the game to Doncaster with a long ball from deep by Price which found Capi in loads of space. Doncatser keeper pulls out a great save. Simon Buckley for Doncaster takes the lead on the 40th minute but was called offside by the referee's assistant but was given by the ref, feeling robbed. We equalise straight after the break with great play from left winger Paul Williiams. Williams disposed there right back and stormed on down the wing to cross for a happy Capi to slot away..1-1. Almost straight from the kick off Stuart gray robbed the ball and played a nice ball through to Jason Price and Price played Capi through to slot home,2-1. Another good goal on the 67th minute by capi. Controlling game now. Capi gets another 4.1

A good win at Doncaster which keeps us in 2nd and still chasing top spot. A good performances by Capi with 4 goals.

Doncaster 1 Hull 4

26/12/2003

Expecting another tuff game at Torquay as the lie 4th in the league. Actually if im really honest we are going to walk it today. We are the mighty Hull, No one can stop us.

Like i thought we would we took the game straight to torquay and they couldn't handle the pressure. Capi opening the scoring on the 5th minute. Another goal on the 45th minute by green makes the scorre 2-0.. Torquay pulled one back with Graham on the 62nd minute, Lucky. A tense last 20 minutes but we held on. Overall quite pleased with the performance and happy to send the 4000+ Torquay fans home unhappy.

Torquay 1 Hull 2

01/01/2004

Leyton Orient are the visitors today. Im hoping that a lot of there fans haven't waisted there money in coming because were gona hammer them.

A totally freakish goal for Torquay puts us behind on the 43rd minute. The ball was played in from the half way line and Anderson total mis qued it. Funny but irrtating. A instant response though by Hull on the 48th as they pull one back through John Anderson of all people. Another goal on the 62nd minute by Stuart Green made it 2-1 to hull. A 3rd goal on the 73rd for Stuart Elliot nicely taking from a corner. Were untouchable. Jason Price wraps things up on the 88th minute. A good result but wasn;t too surprised because the O's suck. All hail stevey at Hull the fans were singing.

Hull 4 Leyton Orient 1

07/01/04

Got to travel to the wonderful world of Wales today. Ive told the players not to talk or mingle with any locals or there not playing. Again im thinking were going to win this game as Swansea are strugling. You could say that you should never under estimate your opponents but we are the mighty Hull and all are falling at our feet.

We went behind with James Thomas heading home for the swans. Again going behind first but not to worrying. Capi turns the game into his own and scores some blinders and gets himself a hat-trick. We ran the show.

Swansea 1 Hull 5

10/01/2004

York are the visitors today and im expecting to rip them apart. Were firing on all cylinders at the moment. Unfortunatly we only won the game by 1 goal as our forwards just couldn't finish. We had 14 shots to there two. A little disapointing but a wins a win. icon14.gif

Hull 1 York 0

A good session overall. Were playing ok football even though we sometimes we let ourselves down at times. Looking forward to next sesh. icon_smile.gif

After 23 games Forest were routed to the bottom 3 with an abysmal away record of 2 wins and 10 defeats. The fans had clearly lost their patience with Paul Hart and the inevitable happened, he was sacked. But the shocking news was his replacement, unknown Shaun Marshall has been given the task of pushing the reds up the table with half the season to go. A difficult job with a team with no confidence, and very little cash available.

26th December 2003

Norwich V Forest

Got off to a very bad start going 2-0 after 14 minutes, defensively we was laughable but Harewood fired home to give us hope. On loan Harbuzi then equalised after the team appeared to have settled down, but it took just 2 minutes for the defence to sit back and watch Norwich regain the lead. Forest had a corner on the 40 minute mark, but Norwich counter attacked and Alex Notman was left one on one and slotted home to make it 4-2. Johnson pulled back what seemed to be a consolation after Norwich went 5-2 up but with 5 minutes remaining, youngster Craig Westcarr gave Forest a chance to get something out of the game. But that chance was killed off with a 90th minute penalty from Notman, who completed his hat-trick

Norwich 6-4 Forest

Scorers: Harewood, Harbuzi, Westcarr, Johnson

3rd January 2004-02-02

Scunthorpe V Forest

FA cup game which Forest should be able to win easily on paper, however a poor defence without Dawson who went to Newcastle for £2.5m, The home side will fancy there chances. Forest dominated but failed to capitalise but the home side took the lead early on in the 2nd half and went on to win the game, the away team should have equalised but on loan Downing and Harbuzi both wasted good chances! Disappointing first two games for the new manager but still awaiting the first win

Scunthorpe 1-0 Forest

7th January 2004

Forest V Wimbledon

Forest dominated the opening half an hour but yet another defensive lapse nearly put Wimbledon in front with there first effort on goal, but instead Harbuzi, who has impressed in his opening 2 games, made a darting run before smashing Forest into the lead. Within just 16 seconds of the restart, a nice bit of teamwork enable Westcarr to make it 2. 10 minutes later the score should have been 3-0 up Williams opted for the shot instead of squaring to Westcarr, and fired over the bar, however, he rectified this by eventually scoring and showing why he has been named captain.

Forest 3-0 Wimbledon

Scorers: Williams, Harbuzi, Downing

10th January 2004

Crystal Palace V Forest

Started off in a rather dull fashion, taking a while for both sets of players to get started but the game was fairly even, both teams looked shaky at the back but created enough chances to have scored a couple each. Harewood opened the scoring after 79 minutes but Palace’s Gareth Williams equalised 4 minutes later. Gunarsson had the chance to give Forest a late goal but missed an open goal from the miss Tyrone Berry went up the other end and made it 2-1

Palace 2-1 Forest

Scorer: Harewood

14th January 2004

Millwall V Forest

Neil Haris rattled the woodwork after 10 minutes and Downing missed an open goal 3 minutes later, an end to end game crying out for a goal. A goal was inevitable as Millwall took the lead with a classy finish. But Forest came out in the second half a lot livelier and Marlon Harewood grabbed his 12th of the season. It seemed to all go downhill as Millwall regained the lead and Wes Morgan was shown the red card. Harewood equalised after a great attacking movement from the reds and could have gone in front but Reid Smashed the ball at the cross bar. Millwall then took the lead for the 3rd time before scoring again 2 minutes later as they made it 4-2

Millwall 4-2 Forest

Scorer: Harewood (2)

Plymouth continue dropping down the table

After a not so bad 20 games in the season plymouths position was now becoming worse and worse. This session seen them drop to 10th and promotion and maybe a sacking was looking good on the cards. If Lee Owens is to stay at plymouth he will probably be having another season in division two but Lee Owens has thought of that possibility and is fine with it. Anyway here is how this sessions results went in the end.

Monday Session

Due to the amount of games that were played in this session it will not be a long report. We only managed to get 4 games done in this session and they ****ed plymouth right up.

Plymouth 3-2 Rushden

Scorers: Keith (2), duarte, nelson sent off

Considering plymouth went down to 10 men half way through the game they gave it 100% and ended up with a great performance and a great win (the only one of the session).#

Oldham 3-1 Plymouth

Scorers: keith

What a game for plymouth. They were all over the shop in this game and oldham came out well on top which they deserved. After this game the plymouth players felt that they should of got more out of this game but they didnt.

Plymouth 0-0 Luton

Plymouth dominated this game and should and would of won it 2-0 if it wasnt for having 2 goals disallowed. This left plymouth manager Lee Owens real angry as he knew his team should of won.

Bristol City 5-1 Plymouth

Scorers: guomundsson

Bristol proved to be unstoppable in this game and hardly gave plymouth any chances. The goal that plymoouth did score was very lucky. After this game plymouth were currently in 10th position. After yesterdays session with assistant manager taking over it seen them move even more down the league to 14th. Just how long is this very bad run gonna last? till next time.....

Manchester United witness a poor season so far but 'will' give Besant time.

Manchester United have had a rather poor season so far,One that the fans will definitely not be pleased with as arch rivals Liverpool look set to grab the premiership crown.

His results has however picked up recently,Bar a 3-1 drumming by Jimmy's Newcastle (Greatly Improved) United.

Besant is still in Champions league and has a rematch with a chance to get revenge over newcastle in the F.a cup Semis.

If Besant is to have any chance of keeping his job it is widely believed that he will have to bag those 2 trophies.

Matthew Besant.

just to clarify on one of the clan rules that some members are no doubt unsure about. Once a 16 year old (unprotected contract) turns 17 the manager which team that 17 year old will have exactly one month to renew their contract. If they havent renewed that players contract after that month other human managers are then able to bid on the 17 year old. So no one can now moan if some of their 17 year olds get brought off them.

Newcastle Maintain good form

It has a been 4 sessions since the last update so these will have to be quite brief. Newcastle find themselves in 2nd place with just 8 games to go. 3pts clear of third Placed Man Utd and 6 pts clear of Fourth placed Chelsea with a game in hand of each and a massive 15pts clear of fifth placed Arsenal. But we are still 5pts behind Liverpool who have a game in hand of us as well.

So it looks like a real battle for 2nd place and unless Ali's Liverpool hit a very bad run then the title should go to Anfield.

The first session to report was from Thursday last week. I missed the first half of the session and so my asst took charge of the first 4 games. 3 wins were gained but a bad 4-2 defeat at Ant's Portsmouth spoilt our start to the session. After regaining control we walloped Stuggart 8-1 at home with a 2nd XI and then beat Simon's Boro 4-0 at home in the league. He had his revenge though beating us 4-2 at the riverside in the league cup quarter final 3 days later. That bad result was followed by a draw at spurs where we were 2-0 up with 10 mins to go and we blew the lead. Tottenham scoring in the 90th minute to complete the comeback.

The results of session were:

Real Sociedad (a) 2-0 Malbranque, Braathen

Portsmouth (a) 2-4 Braathen, Radoi

Bradford (h) 4-0 Ambrose, Lampard, Oskarsson, Braathen (LC 4th Rd)

Charlton (h) 2-0 Dyer, Braathen

Stuggart (h) 8-1 Speed, Lampard, Ameobi 2, Bellamy 4

Boro' (h) 4-0 Dyer 3, Braathen

Boro' (a) 2-4 Braathen 2 (LC QF)

Spurs (a) 2-2 Oskarsson, Bellamy

So a bit of a mixed session as we lost ground on the top 3 sides.

The next session on Monday of this week began with a home tie against high flying Liverpool, we were totally out foxed and outplayed as Liverpool ran away 3-0 winners. We bounced back though with a 3-1 win against Spurs in the FA Cup 3rd Rd. I then had to leave the game for the night and left the assistant to take charge. On my return to the next session on Tuesday i found out although we had beaten fulham away 3-0 we had lost away to Joey's Villa 4-2 and also at home to Paul's Chelsea and 2nd place rivals, 1-0. This was a disaster for the Toon Army, as we dropped to 4th place and lost major ground on the front runners.

The results of the second session were:

Liverpool (h) 0-3

Spurs (h) 3-0 Braathen, Bellamy 2

Fulham (a) 3-0 Dyer, Braathen, Oskarsson

Villa (a) 2-4 Woodgate, Bellamy

Chelsea (h) 0-1

With a new tactic and a steely determination Newcastle started the next session on Tuesday. A deal with Middlesborough was done for Guarin (a world class DMC) which added a new dimension to the Toon Army, and the session started with a good win away to Southampton, followed by big wins against Fran's Man City 5-3, Ant's Portsmouth 4-1 and Blackburn 1-0. Wolves were dispatched next 4-0 and Leeds succumbed to the Toon wave 5-0. A tight 1-0 win over Man City took Newcastle to the 6th rd of the FA Cup and the session finished with an excellent 4-1 win away to Bolton. Eight wins out of Eight during this session which delighted me and brought back into 2nd place and right up there challenging again.

Results of the third session were:

Southampton (a) 3-0 Dyer 2, Braathen

Man City (h) 5-3 Guarin, Dyer 3, Bellamy

Portsmouth (h) 4-1 Guarin, Dyer 2, Braathen

Blackburn (h) 1-0 Jenas

Wolves (a) 4-0 Guarin, Dyer, Oskarsson, Braathen

Leeds (h) 5-0 Guarin 2, Dyer, Braathen, Malbranque

Man City (h) 1-0 Dyer (FA Cup 5th Rd)

Bolton (a) 4-1 Bellamy, Malbranque, Chopra 2

Onto the final session which was held on Wednesday. Buoyed by their recent form Newcastle were hoping to go a long way in the champions league, and they entertained Porto in the first game of the session. Despite dominating early on Newcastle could only come away with a 1-1 draw and the worry of conceedingan away goal. Stoke were dispatched in the FA Cup 6th Rd by the 2nd XI, but the return leg of the Porto game was a big disappointment as we were beaten 2-1 and didnt deserve a result out there. So out of the CL Newcastle turned on the style to beat Everton 3-1 at home and then onto the big game against 3rd placed Man Utd. A brilliant display inc 27 shots on goal demolished the Current Champions 3-1 although it didnt reflect the domination of Newcastle during this game. Finally in the last game of the session and of the week, a last minute goal By Jenas secured a good win away to Abhi's impressive Birmingham (who played half the match with 10 men).

Results for Final Session:

Porto (h) 1-1 Bellamy (Champions League)

Stoke (h) 3-0 Malbranque, Chopra 2

Porton (a) 1-2 Guarin

Everton (a) 3-1 Malbranque, Braathen, Dyer

Man Utd (h) 3-1 Dyer 2, Braathen

Birmingham (a) 2-1 Jenas Bellamy

So a great finish to the week for Newcastle except of course for the Champions league. We play Matt's Man Utd in the FA Cup Semi's and have a good chance of finishing second so i am very pleased with that. Guarin was a super buy and Dyer keeps grabbing the goals and with me defence starting to tighten up thanks to the new tactic, hopefully the form can be maintained and maybe just maybe the last game of the season against Ali's Liverpool at Anfield will be a title decider icon_wink.gif

Wednesday session

As plymouth had dropped down a fair few positions in division 2 they needed to do something about it and do it very quickly. Manager Lee Owens was now starting to worry what the outcome would be at the end of season (in other words whether Lee Owens would still be managing plymouth next season). Here is how the results went in this session.

Blackpool 4-1 Plymouth

Scorers: keith, aljofree sent off

A bad start to the session which effected them badly. Blackpool shown no signs of weakening and took the full 3 points that they fully deserved. Plymouth knew this game was gonna be tough as Blackpool were currently top of the division at this time. The fact that plymouth had a player sent off early in the game though mucked up there chances of getting at least a point from this game.

Plymouth 3-0 Port Vale

Scorers: savolainen, lowndes, phillips

A strong performance by plymouth which seen them thrash one of the relegation favourites port vale. A full deserved 3 points and the scoreline could of been a lot more as plymouth domainated throughout the match.

Bournemouth 2-1 Plymouth

Scorers: Bentley

An unlucky loss here as it was an even game but bournemouth took their chances better and the scoreline showed it. Plymouth manager Lee Owens felt his team should of got a point but thats the way it goes in football sometimes.

Plymouth 2-0 Tranmere

Scorers: guomundsson, savolainen

Plymouth manager Lee Owens knew his side had to do something remarkable to start getting a winning run together now. So after the few changes that he made plymouth came out and produced a game of pure quality football. The first clean sheet for plymouth in ages also pleased manager Lee Owens and plymouth up the league after.

Plymouth 2-0 Colchester

Scorers: keith (2)

Another clean sheet for the plymouth side and things were starting to look up. The changes that plymouth argyle manager made seemed to be paying off and producing results like these.

With plymouth now currently 10th in the second division things were looking up a little. Promotion was still achievable and current form of plymouth gave Lee Owens some confidence. But with the end of the season approaching will they achieve promotion from the second division, will manager Lee Owens get sacked or will he stay and plymouth stay in division two for another season? find out here in the next batch of reports.

It's been a great season so far for us managing to stay top of the prem for most of the season and also reaching the FA Cup Semi's where we have to play our merseyside counterparts Everton aswell as being in the draw for the UEFA Cup 1/4 finals.

When taking this job I knew I had to make alot of changes within the squad and having done so has seen virtually the whole 1st team depart with a brand new young and exciting squad coming in.

I knew I would have to offer big wages and big signing on fees if i were going to be able to beat Man Utd and Chelsea in the transfer market and was lucky to do so with a few players but that came at a big big cost.

During the season I started to notice that I was losing around 3-5m a month and started to panic as I had miscalculated my trasnfer dealings.

Although on paper it showed that I had made a profit of around 20m in actual fact I hadnt because some players that were sold were pending future appearances etc before I can recieve any money.

So with this in mind I had no option but to sell yet a few more players at xmas along with a top star player who unfortunatly ended up being Robinho.

I payed 15m to bring him to the club along with a 3m signing on fee but once Arsenal had sold Henry for 100m to Valencia they were always going to win the race for Robniho's signature buying him from me for 21m and 1m after 20 league goals.

So with that money plus the other millions I made from my xmas clear out I have managed to restore our finance's and can now look forward to the future once again.

Our side is very young and the players to feature this season will give you some indication as to how bright there's and Liverpool's future is. Here is the main squad and there age:

GK: Kirkland 22

GK: Pletikosa 25

LB: Riise 24

RB: Diope 28

RB: Welsh 20

CB: Hyypia 30

CB: Gallas 26

CB: Cannavaro 22

LW: Montolivo 19

LW: Kewell 25

RW: Toledo 22

RW: Pearson 21

CM: Thompson 21

CM: Arteta 22

AM: Diego 19

AM: Dagoberto 21

ST: Pazzini 19

ST: Cerci 16

ST: Dominguez 22

Our results have been very good only losing twice in the league away to Man Utd 4-2 and away to Arsenal 1-0. Although before we had a crash I had managed to salvage a draw at both of these clubs.

Im happy to say and im sure that the fans will be delighted for us to announce our early sigings that our coming to Anfield this summer.

Diafutua 16 425k(excellent prospect plays up front)

Jeremies 30 Bosman (Worldclass midfielder)

Deco 26 Bosman (Playmaker from Porto)

Basturk 25 Bosman (Fantastic Playmaker and Tireless midfielder that will be a great siging)

Mahdavikia 26 Bosman (Explosive Right Winger from HSV)

Bonera 22 Bosman (Solid CB prospects of becming a worldclass cb can also operate at rb)

Boumsong 24 Bosman (Strong cb beat Newcastle, Boro and Man City to sign him)

Hinkel 22 Bosman (Creative full back that will add good competition and am sure will make the rb berth his own this season. Signed from Stuttgart)

Colocini Bosman (Fantastic cb although have heard rumours that he has a bad disciplinary record, thus he will need to change his ways if this is true or he could see himself being booted out)

There have been speculation of what players will be making way for those players that are coming to Anfield and with this the newspapers are having a field day at unsettling them. The players in question are:

Hyypia, Arteta, Diego, Kristiansen, Pletikosa and Babbel.

We have just 8 games to go in the league and are 5pts clear with a game in hand of a much improved 2nd place Newcastle and im sure they will keep pressing us right to the end.

We have some tricky games left to play having to go away to a improving Birmingham, Arsenal Home, Man Utd Home and then the last game of the season is Newcastle Home.

I just hope that the cup games do not cost us as we are gonig to have to do alot of rotating now and that could cost us. Whatever happens though its been a great season and im sure that next season will be even better.

Lee mate i am struggling to get in to the clan website.

The royals count on Patrck Agyemang as tey stuggl for goals.

Readings recent form has been poor and have been counting on Patrick Agyemang as he returns from injury. THankfully Agyenang has retuned and him and Johann Porhallson are re kicking of the royals title challenge. Hjamar Porinhallson's youth and inexperience has cost readng derly in recent weeks but Cherno Samba on loan from Livepool and Vincent Pericard n loan from Portsmouth have fired in the goals in Agyemang's and Porinhallsons absents but the defence and Marcus Hannamn at the back for the royals hve been more then generous. But Th light at the end of the tunnel is Agyemang has come back and hit something lik 5in3 games, and Fred Patten has sucured the igniture f 1.6million pounds rated right back Robbie Stockdale on a free. Fred Patten says shopping in iceland is likely to stop now and says 'I think i have shopped enough in Iceland. With a bit of money left in the transfer kitty during th recent sale of James Harper. I wn't b lookijg for a keeper during the recent free transfer of Graham Stack.but will be looking mabye for another defender or midfielder. I have been diapointed with Mark Wilson and when you have players like Steve Sidwell and Nigel Reo-Coker avadable it will be dficult fr him.' So will readings future li in the premiership or first division next season, what we do know is Patrick Agyemang will have a big say.

End of 1st season overview

As the end of the first season has come some managers will be crying and some will be laughing. No human manager sackings in the first season happened although i must admit me, matt and joey were very close to getting sacked me more than him but i survived and live to see another season with plymouth. Matthew besants big spending didnt win him the title with man utd which was pathetic in my eyes. He finished 3rd and was lucky. As a result he narrowly just kept his job at the end of the season. Some could say that the league cup kept him his job and if it wasnt for winning that he would be managing some crap club like plymouth (i meant woking). Even though daniel joined half way through the season to take over at arsenal they managed to finish 5th. Fran cochranes man city finished well in the league just missing out on a uefa spot and ants portsmouth done well to get into europe finishing in an impressive 7th position. Simon murphys middlesbrough had a great season that the manager couldnt really complain about by finishing 6th in the premiership. A few good performances towards the end of the season secured this place for them and what a season it was. If he hadnt of done well i would of shot him for the amount of players that he brought into the middlesbrough side. Abi's birmingham finished mid table avoiding the drop so all is good for them and they will have to improve a fair bit if they are to stay in next season. The premiership title ended up going to ali's liverpool which deserved it buying some magnificant players to help them along the way and jimmy cales newcastle claimed 2nd place with the likes of braathen and oskarsson netting the goals. At the other end joey's aston villa managed to just stay up in the premiership as they played **** for most of the season. Luckily this didnt effect joey's managerial status at the club and he goes into the next season with them. In division one mike laws crewe got promotion finishing 2nd overall in the league and fred's reading just narrowly missed out on promotion by getting knocked out by sunderland 3-3 (sunderland won on aggregate). Even though shaun wasnt in this session to see off the end of the season Notts forest finished mid table which was an impressive end as they were fighting for relegation until shaun joined the club and turned them around with the purchases that he made. My plymouth didnt end to bad as they ended on a high beating off opponents bristol city who were 5th at the time to keep Lee Owens in his job. There were a few very bad losses and some very good wins but overall i was happy as i didnt get the axe. Finally Steveys hull gained promotion from the 3rd division easily and were unlucky not to win the vans trophy as they lost 3-1 in it. This means hull will join plymouth next season in division two and i will have some human side to play finally icon_smile.gif

The second season is already looking a bright one for a few managers as they are already snapping up some great players on free's. Who will win the premiership this time i wonder. Will Liverpool claim the title again or will it be another team. Will fred's reading go up this time? and who will be the first to get sacked this coming season. Roll on the new season and good luck to every clan member hope its a great season for all of you including me

an excellant first season for boro, clinching 6th place with wins over portsmouth 7-0 (this being a personal favourite after ants gloating at the start of the season when boro took 1 point from their first 5 games and ant's portsmouth were riding high. as this result confirmed boro in the top 6 and put pompey into the intertoto), charlton 9-1 and title chasing newcastle 3-1. the all out attacking style still caused poor results away from home, only winning 3 of the leage games away (and probably costing any chance of a champions league place). but 6th place and a position in the uefa cup is more than boro could have hoped for at the stat of the season. a losing league cup final appearance give the fans more thrills on the way with wins over newcastle and chelsea before succumbing to a rvn hattrick in the final losing 3-2

to help in the first european adventure, deals have already been put in place to land some big name players, including alan smith from bankrupt leeds for 1M, john carew for a bargain 2M, olisidabe on a bosman cristian zenoni, pah modou kah, andreas isaakson, kim kallstrom and stephen taylor (in exchange for zonneveld) martin taylor, and various other players, to give the boro squad a much more competitve edge. deals were also lined up to sign a brazilian schoolboy international and an argentinian schoolboy international.

although boro have spent heavily in the season, a profit on transfer deals of over 5M, and the upcoming sales of zonneveld, ricketts, parnaby and kristiansson have raised the required funds to cover these deals.

optimism is high oon teesside that perhaps next season will finally bring some silverware to the riverside

Final plymouth report of first season

As the season was drawing to a close plymouth were looking rather unstable in 13 place in the league and manager Lee Owens was worrying as he didnt know whether he would still be the plymouth manager next season but he pretended to hide his worry and get on with the remainder of the season and see what happens. Here is how the final session of results in the first season went.

Grimsby 2-1 Plymouth

Scorers: Savolainen

A rather unlucky start for Lee Owens' plymouth in this session as they played a great game but were rather unlucky to lose as a very late goal from grimsby sealed their win.

Notts County 1-4 Plymouth

Scorers: Samba (2), Bashir (2)

After samba agreed to join the pilgrims on loan from liverpool he provided plymouth with a couple of goals which plymouth could of done with last match. An all round good performance led to a great away win for the club which is rather rare.

Plymouth 7-1 Wrexham

Scorers: Bashir (2), Keith (3), Phillips, Samba

Perfomance of the season for plymouth as plymouth played sensationally and scored loads of goals which could of been a lot more. A win was expected against bottom of the league wrexham but not a win by this bigger margin. This helped Lee Owens managerial position and made it safe again.

Plymouth 0-0 Sheffield wednesday

A rather boring game this was which plymouth should of won and they would of if it wasnt for the fact that they had two goals disallowed. Unlucky for plymouth but lucky for sheffield wednesday.

QPR 6-1 Plymouth

Scorers: Samba

Despite a good performance early on in the game it all went QPR's way as they fired in goals quite rapidly. The only consolation goal was one that came from samba. Lee Owens thought he may of been sacked after this but was very lucky to be kept in a job and was pleased icon_smile.gif

Plymouth 1-0 Hartlepool

Scorers: Bashir

After the last game plymouth needed to improve and a lucky win helped. Wasnt many chances in this game and the best ones came from plymouth. Hartlepool were unlucky not to get a point out of thid game and it went in plymouth's favour.

Rushden 8-0 Plymouth

Plymouth thought they had seen the last of these sort of results after the QPR game but obviously they hadnt. Plymouth hardly had any chances and rushden scored on nearly every chance they did have.

Plymouth 2-0 Bristol City

Scorers: Bashir, Guomundsson

A game that plymouth needed to win to keep their manager and they did just that. A good finish to the end of the season and some major improvements are gonna have to be made next season if Lee Owens side want to achieve promotion.

The new season is looking good for plymouth so far as they have signed some good new young players. Lets hope they perform well on the pitch and plymouth have a good season all round including a good cup run which they never seem to have. How is plymouths second season gonna go in the second division? find out more here.....

boro journey into europe about to begin.

for the first time in there history boro are going to be going to europe after clinching the last uefa cup place last season. the squad whilst strengthened throughout the team know that they are on the verge of making history for the town.

steve gibson and the boro faithful whilst hopeful for the new season have placed realistic expectations in front of murphy, wanting only respectability on the pitch. the bookies whilst impressed by the signings of carew, olisidabe, smith, isaaksen, albrechtsen and zenoni rate boro as 40-1 outsiders for the premiership.

my hopes well, its time some silverware were in the trophy cabinet alongside the mighty anglo/italian cup won in the 70s. and to try and get 4th in the premiership this season has to be an achieveable goal after last year.

United Give Besant More Time

Manchester United have given Matthew Besant Until December to turn things around at Old Trafford.

After a shambolic season last year that saw Matt miss out on the title for the 4th time out of 11 clan seasons (CM4 And 03/04) with United they say that he has done enough over his time to deserve another chance.

He promises to change things around at Old Trafford and to beat his Enemys Ali-El Morssey,Jimmy Cale and Paul,Not to mention the arsenal boss, simon and pompey, And maybe also Villa and crewe.

Only time will tell if besant keeps his promise icon_wink.gif

Newcastle finish memorable season

After finishing last season during Monday's session, i am able to look back on what was a very successful season.

- Finished Runners up in Premiership

- Won The FA Cup

- Last 16 of Champions League

- Quarter Finals of League Cup

The supporters and board were obviously delighted with this and with the prospect of summer signings and the devlopment of some hot prospects Newcastle looked on course to achieve great things.

The season itself was a major success considering the competition in the premiership. But unfortunately Ali's Liverpool were just to good this year and won the Premiership comfortably despite The Toon's late winning streak of 11 straight wins. Hopefully next year will be closer than the 14pts this year.

With Victory over Everton in Cardiff in our last match we lifted the FA Cup for the first time since 1955 and brought me my first trophy with Newcastle. It will hopefully be the first of many.

2004/2005 Season

Well before we had time to reflect on the 2003/2004 season the new one was upon us. With our performances last year we were able to make a yearly profit of 14m and take the bank balance up to a cool 50m. Expectations of a large transfer kitty were high and several bids prepared.

That is until we got to the 1st July 2004 and saw the Newcastle Board had decided to allocate us 4m to spend this season. icon_redface.gificon_mad.gificon_eek.gificon_confused.gif

The sale's of Lampard and Terry bolstered that and also lowered the wage bill and the transfers of Lamey, Pablo NinoOliseh and Zonneveld were completed. But a great disappointment at the board.

With only enough time to play one game, we ended the session with the Charity shield against Ali's mighty Liverpool.

Another trophy was at stake here and despite both sides missing some key players through injuries and lack of fitness i was pleased to claim a convincing 2-0 victory over the current champions and was encouraged by some of the new signings. Hopefully this form will be continued into the league where we hope to consolidate a top 3 finish and also into the champions league where we aim to make a big impression this year.

Our first season in this game has now finished and i would like to say that cmelc is establishing itself as one of the major clans around. The attendance of all clan members is remarkable given how many members we have and with Ali's hosting and Lee's organisation it has been a pleasure playing in the clan. Hopefully we will continue this for many seasons to come icon_smile.gif

Totally Agree with you about how much of a success the clan has been jimmy, Im sure with time we will only get better and maybe eventually we will be the best icon_smile.gif

Inconsistant form proves to be the problem

Man city finish season in 10th after a bad run in which saw them drop points when it should have been avoided.

With a wage bill that was hugely over budget manager Fran Cochrane was delighted to see over earners Seaman and Mcmanaman leave the club to release 90k of wages between them and with other back up players being sold or let leave club Cochrane was able to sign 5 players in an attemp to bolster his midfield and defense which lacked quality. He also brought in striker Auer on loan as a back up and also to get a look at the talented young player.

With the board' expectation of a respectable league position and the fans of the same opinion, Cochrane is planning to go about his business of improving the teams performances on the pitch and possibly signing 1 or 2 more players before the transfer window closes without having to worry about pressure from the Man city hierarchy.

sunday should be next session for one that didnt go ahead last night but we are currently having problems with the host because there are rumours he may be leaving. If this is the case then jimmy will take over as the new clan host and mid march matt will take over icon_smile.gif so not to worry all
