Found some gems doing it that way! When I used this it's always at least 35% of the starting appearances of the player with the most appearances on my team for the season (that way it accounts for the youth) or minimum of 90 mins x that number. But your average rating of 7 criteria is definitely one I might use later on!
shaunvamos
2024 Preseason Transfers (Out) We make a record sale in Riegler leaving for the Serie A. Transfers (In) The old way of recruitment is back, as the form based one goes on hiatus until FM23 when I can do some more experimentation with it. The match squad will still be picked on form though. It's already worked wonders with a number of players already featuring in the first team. Goalkeeper Central Defender Wing Backs Central Midfielder Striker An unbeaten preseason including a crushing win over Koper in the Conference League, but the media still tip us to suffer. shaunvamos
July/August 2024 Transfers (Out) We were unlucky not to get past PAOK in the Conference League, but we've gotten off to a great start in the league including a win over RB Salzburg. shaunvamos
November 2024 More good results and we're essentially 2nd on our own at this point, but Sturm Graz have a mountain of games in hand.

shaunvamos
A good end to the season, and we've made it onto the honour roll but it looks like there's a new big dog in town with Sturm Graz winning the league really comfortably and ending the 11 year dominance of RB Salzburg. poobington
Have you implemented any training schedules to further boost the growth of your players? I am currently down a rabbit hole looking into and researching whats the best way to boost training for attribute growth. I plan to do a save similar to yours albeit starting with my hometown team from Czech Republic, but with a focus on signing players 23 or younger and developing them as we progress up the pyramid, and utilising your methodology to identify players based on role suitability. shaunvamos
2025 Preseason Transfers (Out) Transfers (In) Again a lot of back-ended deals, but there appears to be a mountain of potential in a lot of these guys which is exciting. Only a few are able to immediately crack the first team though. Wing Backs A serious shortage of preseason games due to the fact that I struggled to find an Assistant Manager so they could arrange friendlies. The B Team had a few though, and the first team played there mostly. Slowly moving up, but I'd love a top 3 finish again.

I leave the training entirely up to the coaching team except when it comes to individual training which I control. I just try and find the best coaches I can with great personalities and put my trust in them to do their thing. Best of luck in the Czech Rep, I hope to reach there at some stage! shaunvamos
July/August 2025 Transfers (Out) A big sale as Tomka heads to Hungary after 113 appearances for the club. Given our money troubles it was hard to say no. It's been a tough start to the season as we try and balance the Conference League qualifiers, but we bow out to Malmo before the group stage. The league is our only priority now.
shaunvamos
September 2025 Now that we don't have European games to worry about we're back to winning in the league, and would have gone unbeaten had it not been for a 90th minute goal by Sturm Graz.
shaunvamos
October 2025 We picked things up at the end of the month which also included a win over Sturm Graz in the cup. Could this be a sign?

shaunvamos
December 2025 We end the year strongly as we pull away from SV Ried. Every point is crucial to narrow the gap when the comp splits.
shaunvamos
Winter Break/February 2026 Transfers (Out) We make 140k profit on Stancic, and then just some loans for guys unhappy with playing time. A disappointing home loss to Austria Wien, but we stay 4th and are in the semis of the cup.
shaunvamos
2026 Youth Intake Marjan Dukov 5A - Hartmut Brendler 5B* - Lukas Zuna 5C The potential seems to be falling away in these intakes, but there are still plenty of players that will earn a contract.

shaunvamos
We finish 5th, lower than last year but with a bonus. We beat Linz in the cup final, meaning we're in the Europa League qualifiers for next season, getting revenge on Rapid Wien who did robbed us of the EL spot last year. What's even better is that we enter the playoffs round, meaning that if we lose we're in the Conference League groups. So no matter what happens we'll have reached our first European group stage next season Best XI Gabriele Bellodi - Bojan Ivković 2E - Robert Kapralik Record Breakers Award Winners Progress
shaunvamos
2026 Preseason Transfers (Out) Huge transfer as starting keeper Matteo Soncin heads next door to the Czech Republic for a whopping 70x what we bought him for. He will be missed, but our recruiting policy means the next gem isn't always far away. Transfers (In) Our mastery of the backended deal really shone through here, with everyone here costing no more than 60k up front. Will they pay me back? We'll see. I've also decided to just show everyone we've bought as they're likely to feature throughout the season in some capacity, some more than others though. Goalkeeper Central Defenders Wing Backs Defensive Midfielder Central Midfielders Strikers A near perfect preseason, and the expectations raise ever higher.

shaunvamos
August 2026 Transfers (Out) Three players leave for cash, netting us a profit of 7.21m as a result. Most of that has come from Bellodi, who was excellent for us over his 60 appearances, but we need the money to afford better players, and we have plenty of cover behind him, so off he goes. It's been a shaky start domestically, losing convincingly to the current top 3, which I suppose makes things look worse than they actually are. On a more positive note, we're into the Europa League groups! It's a bad group, and I'm not sure how we can finish 3rd and drop down into the Conference League, but we beat Partizan comfortably so who knows? shaunvamos
November 2026 Our form has completely gone down the drain in the league, but at least we have guaranteed European football in the New Year.
shaunvamos
December 2026 We snatch a result against Red Bull, but we still have a long way to go to secure a spot in the Championship group. Galatasaray send us into the Conference League, and this is the most diverse I've ever seen the draw! I like our chances against the Croatians though. shaunvamos
Winter Break/February 2027 Transfers (Out) We have an unbeaten return to competitive games, but we're still struggling. Two solid performances against Gorica, and we have another winnable tie against Oostende to potentially reach the last 8.
shaunvamos
2027 Youth Intake Manuel Schwarz 6A - Jan Eckl 6B - Karl Haberl 6C* A decent intake, and we'll see how they develop.
shaunvamos
March 2027 We are going to have to qualify for Europe the hard way. This will be it for us, Sevilla in my opinion will destroy us.
shaunvamos
April 2027 We played really well against Sevilla, so I'm not too disappointed in that. shaunvamos
We finish the second half of the season undefeated, and carried our form into the European places playoffs to qualify for the Conference League again next season. shaunvamos
2027 Preseason Transfers (Out) We make quite a bit of money on our sales this preseason, a total profit of 5.5m so far. Transfers (In) We had a lot more money to spend this window and it showed. Still heavily backended, but there are some real bargains here, especially in the Czech/Slovak regions. Goalkeeper Central Defenders Wing Backs Defensive Midfielder Central Midfielders Strikers A successful tour of the UAE, but a worrying performance against Olimpija Ljubljana almost sees our European exploits over before it begins. 5th place, so fingers crossed! shaunvamos
August 2027 Transfers (Out) A lot of loans as we look to get playing time for players not expected to contribute to the first team squad. On top of that, more players leave permanently, netting us an 3.7m return on investment there. An extraordinarily busy start to the season due to the ECL qualifiers, but we get off to a great start in the league and we're top after the first 6 games. As for the Conference League qualifiers, thank god we can play well at home It's a group we can definitely qualify from, and it's cool to see a lot of non-traditional nations represented. shaunvamos
September 2027 Squad rotation is working beautifully at this stage of the season, as we are still undefeated in the league which included an away win over RB Salzburg where 8 of our first team players were rested. shaunvamos
October 2027 Out of the cup early, but considering how well we're going in the league and how busy the schedule is we could do with fewer matches.
shaunvamos
November 2027 We finally lose our first domestic game, but we can go 7 points clear if we win our games in hand.
shaunvamos
December 2027 I still can't believe how well we're doing in the league! Based on our form this season I expect to get past Legia comfortably.
shaunvamos
Winter Break/February 2028 Transfers (Out) Gladbach hit Bereczki's release clause, so we make a nice 3.3m profit off that. This change in form from last year is just nuts. Another win over RB Salzburg and we could be 10 points clear again. Frankfurt are obviously much tougher than Legia, but they're currently 9th in the Bundesliga so I think we can catch them out.
shaunvamos
2028 Youth Intake Henning Kowalski 7A* - Robert Barthel 7B - Marian Gazi 7C* Meh, pretty terrible.
shaunvamos
March 2028 We stumble a little bit in the league and all of a sudden it's really close. I'm also really disappointed in the Conference League, as we had twice the xG of Frankfurt at home but couldn't convert, only to win in Germany. We obviously have the quality to compete in the lower echelons of Europe, we're just missing that X-factor.
shaunvamos
April 2028 It's turned into a shootout between us and RB Salzburg. Who will blink first? The match in Salzburg will probably decide the title I think. I won't be too disappointed if we don't win given how well we've progressed this season, but we've been the best team all year so I think we deserve it. shaunvamos
Unbelievably, we are champions! Salzburg really pushed us though, and we got really lucky against them as they battered us (2.15-0.40 xG) but we held firm and now hold the title. As a result we're into the Group Stage of the Champions League, and accordingly I will now appoint myself manager of the Austrian NT as well after their 2028 Euro campaign.
