Hey Guys,

I hope that you are all having a great time. I just came up with the Idea of implementing caretaker roles in future Versions of FM.

At a specialist, they could serve the the different Managers and coaches, fix off field problems, interact with player agents, alleviate the level of service that the club can offer to players to let them focus on the game.

You could just as an example, team up a member of the scouting team with a caretaker, let them take a first look at players offered to the club, or when the scout/analyst gives a recommendation.
So you could somehow semiautomate the trial game and maybe even help to AI to find players.

Let us just imagine there were for example great young talents in Egypt, not signed by any of the big teams, not able to travel even if willing to do so.
The caretaker, specialized as a trialist manager, would sit down with the player or the player agent and find a window of opportunity to have some trials in your club or even partner clubs.

You could just set it up, give some room it a squad to trialists and have a constant but small chance of signing players that are aviable.

Maybe there are other fields of play you have in mind, for specialized caretaker roles and how they could help the game.

Thank You and have a great day.
Ben

Well I don't know. Do you?

Is trialing South American talents for no money a more realistic approach?

Somebody has to pay for flights, hotels, compensate clubs, fill out the forms, care for players, Ect.

If you want real life examples, you could take a look at brasil, there are structures in place to form young talents, involved are RB, PSG, Hoffenheim. Those clubs are "hands-on", they would not sit a young player in a plane (that the player himself paid for somehow.), train him for 4 weeks and then just release him on the doorsteps afterwards. Maybe ROGON staff knows more about such things, I would defenitly take a look into it, if I had the opportunity.

So there is some trouth in the game mechanic as depicted. The mechanic as now in fm22 is just totaly unrealistic, do it would be a step forward more realism.

All the best

Ben
