Popular Post Robbie Hood
I am not talking about copying the real life stadiums like in FIFA, unless that is possible with the licensing agreements between SI and the clubs/leagues. I really hope that stadium improvements can be the top priority for FM23. Miles has often used the word “immersion” in the build up to FM22, and i feel that the immersion is broken every time i see these new stadiums with huge open corners and stadiums that mostly all look the same. Until this issue is improved i think that Miles should not be allowed to use the word “immersion” about the game I understand that it will be difficult to have a totally unique stadium for every team in a save game, but could it be possible to set the stadium detail level higher in just the leagues/major tournaments that you choose? So for instance when playing in England i can choose high detail/variation to the league i am currently in, but more standard type of stadiums in all the other divisions. That way i get more varied stadiums in the matches i play the most, but i risk playing at more generic stadiums in cup games against lower league clubs. The detail level for stadiums gets changed when the season ticks over to a new one in case of promotion/relegation. Not sure if this is even possible? It seems like all stadiums follow the same template where the main stands mainly follow the lines of the pitch. I think this started in FM18 with the new stadium designs. This contributes to the feeling of all stadiums looking very similar:Detailed suggestions to make the stadiums more unique: - All stands in FM22 seems to be the same height. What about a main stand that is higher than the rest of the stands? Adjusting the height of the separate stands seems like an simple way of making the stadiums more unique. - Now there are no wind screens/walls. These could be added with different colours/textures to create more unique stadiums. - Oval shapes. There should be more stands with oval shaped roofs. - Different steepness (if that is the right word) to different stands. Stadium designs like these have been in previous games, so i am not really sure why they have been removed? Robbie Hood
If the stadiums are not prioritized for FM23, then please at least fix the huge amount of large tunnels 16 large scale tunnels on the first tier of this stadium. It just doesn`t make sense from a design perspective. Football stadiums are often located in cramped spaces and the designers need to put as many seats as possible in the space available. The large tunnels takes away a lot of potential seats, and in addition ruins the atmosphere you normally get with stands filled with people, not huge tunnel openings. Some people will probably say that things like these doesn`t matter in FM, but i counter that with when there is so much attention to the smallest of details in the game already, why not try to elevate the graphics/stadiums to that same excellent level of quality and detail?

Way too many clubs have this stadium and it really isnt a good stadium. Those tunnels are massive, when they really shouldnt be. Definitely is an immersion killer.
Robbie Hood
I know that SI understand my point, but just to show how much an upgrade is needed to create more unique stadiums: - Nottingham Forest home game vs. Liverpool: - Away game vs. Liverpool: There is no way to separate these stadiums apart from the pitch patterns and tv screen in the top corner.

I know everyone hates them in real life but they are VERY common around the world! If there was a way to customize these things in the editor then you could add the appropriate flourishes yourself! SI Staff Michael Sant Posted February 23, 2022 SI Staff Share Posted February 23, 2022 Stadiums are an area we hear about a lot and we understand a lot of people aren't happy with some aspects of the current set-up. We'll keep the thoughts and comments made in here in mind.
