WHAT A SEASON! that was pure domination from us. Unbeaten, and conceding only 10 goals!

This is ubelievable. Firstly we beaten last season winners Bayern, Then we took revenge on Juve for the last season and we went all the way to the final where again we have beaten PSG! This is unbelievable.

I think that this is time to leave Rakow, We will be leaving them in a lot better position then we met them with top notch facilities, and with loads of money. Our journey must continue elsewhere.

Things don't add up. Firstly they didn't want to invest in youth facilities, I had to force it by getting better reputation, and secondly it says by the end of next season :O

Job Hunt

Yet again I am in job centre, Now I would like a team with a bigger stadium that we don't necessarily have to expand so quickly or play games elsewhere

 

From the list 3 teams have stadiums above 10k (Gornik, Stal Rzeszow and Pogon) and 1 which has 8k which is KKS Kalisz

 

Gornik - has got the biggest stadium of all and biggest fan base. Been stuck in 2nd tier for quite a while and finished 7th last season. They have quite decent facilities atm. I think we would have a chance to overhaul Rakow with them. 

 

Stal Rzeszow - Has got a stadium which would suit our capacity, low facilities and insecure finances, all is good but they are in 4th tier..... 

 

Pogon Szczecin - They have 20k stadium and have just been relegated from top tier. They have very decent facilities, and could probably attempt to overhaul Rakow. 

 

KKS Kalisz - Stadium is bigger then we had in other clubs at the start. weak facilities but  they are in 4th tier.. what speaks to me about this club is that they are based within my 'County' in Poland. 

 

 

What do I do ???? If I take club from lower division it will take me at least 3 seasons to reach top flight and then probably another 5 to fight for the title. Whereas if I take a bigger club in 2nd tier, it could be a lot quicker to make progress.

Thanks ! a lot ! Before starting this save I never won a CL with Polish team. And now I've done it twice !

I am also thinking Gornik for now, They are ready for success.  Having 9k season ticket holders after being in 1st tier for about 7 of last 8 seasons is massive. Teams in top flight don't have these numbers.  Thanks for the video. I haven't seen it. Definitely some good ideas in there which I might try to introduce to my save, especially the ones with loans as I was struggling in that regard.

Gornik Zabrze 

Our next stop is Gornik Zabrze, After considerations of previous clubs and Radunia, who is also in first tier and in administration I decided to go with Gornik, the club with such funbase and history cannot be hanging around 2nd tier. 

Gornik was a great polish force in the league in the 60s and 80s where they won 5 consecutive league titles and 4 consecutive league titles respectively. In Total they have won 14 League titles across their presence which makes them joint second in Poland along with their rivals Ruch Chorzow, 

They have represented Poland on european stage on few ocasions with highlight being a Cup Winners Cup Final in 69-70 season where they lost the final to Manchester City. They have also produced many players in the past which where then main actors in Polish national team, with the llikes of Lubanski or Gorgon.

The odds have us finishing 3rd, however we have to definitely look at Pogon who has been relegated and are on the top of the odds to go back up.

We have went into the league with doors and windows. Great start to the season and we are already 7 points clear at the top.

I expect Rakow to do well and advance to KOs, especially that I don't think they have sold anyone from our winning team.

After loss in 3rd round, Warta goes straight into EL groups I think 2nd is doable but 3rd is a must. 

Wisla Krakow 

After 4-0 battering at home, Wisla advances to ECL group stages. I think getting out of the group should be really possible.

Such a dissapointment for Lech.

Stal Mielec did really well for the first time they advanced to Europe qualifiers.

Month with mixed results. We gain 5 points out of 12 possible and still retain first place with 5 point gap above 2nd.. We also managed to trash top tier Cracovia 6-1 !

We dropped the form a bit as we hit another mixed month with gaining 8 out of 15 possible points. We now only have a 3 point gap above the 2nd. On the great side, we managed to win against Lech in 2nd cup round !

We are back to winning ways ! a perfect month. Win over Pogon is much appreciated. We are coming to winter break and we sit at the top, 8 points clear above the 2nd. We also won our game in the cup against 4th tier Unia Tarnow with much rotated squad.

Great performances against other teams then Leipzig get Warta to KO stage of EL where they will play Feyenoord.

We have lost our starter striker as his release clause has been met. and except him and few loans, we only had few other players that signed new contracts with other clubs from July. We have made some signings, I hope that ones for future.

Great month. Despite a loss to Chojniczanka we achieve a massive , title relevant, result against GKS Katowice. We now 13 points ahead of 2nd place with 8 games to play. We are also on a surprising cup run  we have beaten Warta to get to Semi final where we will play Legia.

A perfect month, Dejan Gajic on loan is on fire, and is scoring left right and centre scoring 8 in 6 games. We have clinched the title already, and we smashed Legia in the semi final 6-1 ? Our team is different level in the cup. WIll play Jagiellonia in the final, potential european spot for next season?

League

Great season, we have been predicted to finish 3rd and reach playoffs, but we went beyond that and got promoted by winning the league. This sets us up nicely for next season in Ekstraklasa. 

 

Puchar Polski

This was an unexpected cup run. We have beaten the likes of Warta Lech Legia and Cracovia, all being a decent Ekstraklasa sides, we did however lose the final to Jagiellonia by getting 2 red cards in the process  

 

Finances and Facilities 

We have gained 0.5 star in reputation by getting promoted.

As mentioned before Poland has been relegated to Nations League Div C... which is their new low. Also not so great start to WC qualifiers. They have drawn against Luxembourg !!!! WTFF is this coach doing. I hope that they will sack him before he retires.

The odds have us finishing on 17th, we have really young squad with lots of players yet to reach their potential so no shock here.

League -  Avoid Relegation as soon as possible, I don't know what our youths are going to be like. We might be struggling or we might be ok for mid table.

I am surprised that Warta managed to reach CL groups !  They have however been given a tough group. Juventus won the competition last season.

Jagiellonia qualified to ECL groups by losing in EC playoffs to Molde

Cracovia lost being one step away from ECL group stages.

Dinamo turned out to be better then Legia

We have mainly released some older players and once that were unhappy or didn't feature, we have been left with about 15 players or maybe less from last season, so we had to somehow make do. We also loaned Alves and Zorzecki from Rakow for another season.

Another decent month. We have pushed through a result against Jagiellonia, and we got thrashed by Rakow. We are still second in the league what is amazing. We have beaten Gornik Leczna 3-0 in the cup with hattrick from our right back

Very good couple of months. We draw against Lech and later on we lose to Warta, but despite the results we are struggling with selections sometimes having only 3 subs for a game. In the cup however we are flying.

Facilities in Poland 2034

Another 2 years have passed since our last check. We are comparing this years data with data from the start of tracking this so 6 years.

We can see that in the last 6 years from top 40 of facilities combined, the majority of clubs have had their facilities decreased. The ones highlighted in green are the ones that we have touched on. Warta have managed to max out their facilities, and that was after we have left. Rakow still has one youth facilities to do. Gornik we have just started and they are currently on 27th in Poland in terms of the facilities. Out of other clubs, Lechia managed to add 2 to their facilities in the last 6 years. Well this is not really encouraging going forwards. I wonder how this is going to change when I will change my loan strategy with Gornik to help other clubs in Poland.

We win all our games in 2034 so far and surprisingly we lead the table with 8 points above the 2nd in our first season. Boris Kucera is on fire scoring in every game and developing nicely.

For the second time this save I have been given 20 players in the intake. I don't really know what it depends on. The personalities are pretty bad, but I do like (13A)Krieger * He has quite decent PA and can potentially feature, not only in first team but also in national team.

We have done it !. With 3 games left we clinch the title for the first time since 1988 for Gornik. I wasn't expecting this at all this season. :O We also get passed Rakow and we advance to the cup final where we will play against Legia.

I read somewhere that if you get extra players it's because you poached from smaller clubs (similar to when you lose youth players, but there's no news item for it).

I think if you check each player's history it should show which club they came from, but I'm not in front of the game now to confirm.

You are absolutely right. From the latest intake and from the players we signed, I have a transfer clause for 3 players.  Thanks
