FM Editor

Just wondering.

Is there any way, to carry over 'some' elements of the things you add in the pre game editor.

For example, if I add some of my own players, can they be moved over to the new database in an easier way, rather than having to add them all over again?

If possible, I would love to know how.

Thanks

Yes, you need to export your new DB in XML and then import it into the next release (FM21 to FM22.)
It seems to me that this year the export to XML was not necessary. The editor could read the DB of the old one.

Hey Sam, thanks for that response... Hopefully it works.

What if though, in that database, there are elements that do not match with this years version, will the whole file not work, or any idea what then?

most changes can be simply loaded up by the editor and anything that cant (such as deleted references/clubs/any info) will still be attempted to be loaded up but will be shown as "Failed" under the database changes tab. to fix any issues that arrive from this you can delete those changes
