"Could be as Good as..."

When I get this feedback from a coach, Does this mean as good as the player in his Prime or his Current Ability? or is it based on something else?

I always believed it was current ability.

BUT I also believe that it includes the white star potential for this. So if you have a player with 3.5 star CA, and a youth player with 2.5 star PA + 1 star white (uncertain) PA, it will say that the youth player could be as good as the 3.5 star CA player.

If it's anything like FM22, ignore it completely. I have youth players without a single attribute above 10 at 20 that they're telling me could be better than James Ward Prowse.

I’ve always taken it to mean as good as that person is now. So by the time they get to that level of ability, or even potentially their peak, the player they’re being compared to could be even better still.

I never take any notice, because the object player is usually a donkey. And if the youngster is being touted as capable of matching one of my stars, I'd know already, and probably bought him for that reason.
