shaunvamos
2035 Preseason A small recruitment drive again, but the quality we've brought in is excellent. Sweeper Keeper Central Defender Winger Wide Playmaker Advanced Forward We play a few more friendlies this time, and we did pretty well. Still predicted last though!
shaunvamos
July 2035 A win and a loss to start our league campaign, and we have a job to do when we go to Turkey for our Conference League qualifier.
shaunvamos
August 2035 An action packed month, highlighted by a 9-0 flogging of Montenegrin side Berane. I don't know how they even qualified, they were relegated from the top division last season and they didn't do anything in the cup. That's okay though, we'll take those wins when we can get them. We get a few teams that we could push here, but Koln, Brondby, Cherno more and probably Klagenfurt will be too strong for us.
shaunvamos
September 2035 A massive development here, as Grujicic gets noticed by City and the board went over my head when they offered 5m. That's fine, because we get him back on loan for the rest of the season. But his sale will be paying for players well into the future. We beat Dinamo! We then lost to Osijek though, which means consistency is still an issue.
shaunvamos
October 2035 Slaven Belupo thrash our second team, knocking us out of the cup, we lose our opening Conference League games, but we go 3 for 3 in the league as Noah Vincenti goes on a scoring spree.
shaunvamos
November 2035 Not a great month domestically, but a win and draw in the Conference League puts us in the top 24, which is where we need to be to qualify for the playoffs.
shaunvamos
December 2035 We beat Dinamo again, this time in Zagreb! We'll also be in a great position if we win our games in hand, and our exploits in the Conference League earn us a chance to playoff for a spot in the knockouts. shaunvamos
January 2036 Our Colombian reserve strikers go back home, freeing up our foreign player slots and allowing some home grown players to get a taste of first team action. It's really close in the league, and even Dinamo and Hajduk haven't been able to get away.
shaunvamos
February 2036 We beat Hajduk for the first time after a dominant display by Vincenti, but Rijeka have emerged as surprise leaders in the league, no doubt helped by their victory over us. We're slowly falling behind, but this title battle will be fun to watch. After defeating the Bosnians across two legs we now play Casa Pia, who topped the league phase of the Conference League. This will probably be the end of the line for us, but hopefully the other two Croatian sides can make something happen.
shaunvamos
2036 Youth Intake Nikodin Jovanovic 4A - Ivica Milicevic 4B - Di Mateo Brnas 4C Not a great intake. We need to use our new found cash to upgrade our facilities, and fast.
shaunvamos
March 2036 Hajduk all but end our hopes of an unlikely title run, but we still have a shot at cracking the top 3. We shock Casa Pia in the round of 16, and now we've met our end (surely) in the quarter finals. It's a very Balkan dominated last 8, with half the teams from Croatia and Serbia. shaunvamos
April 2036 We lose to Koln in extra time, a fantastic effort, and we have a real shot at finishing 3rd in the league as we enter the last 4 games.
shaunvamos
We finish the season strongly, and have a 3rd place to show for it. I don't expect Dinamo do be down and out for long, they're just too strong. But hopefully we're here to stay near the top of the Croatian leagues for the foreseeable future. Best XI Noah Vincenti - Jarmo Tomson - Luka Marković Record Breakers Award Winners A great season from Vincenti, a find from the Serie C in Italy, who went and performed above and beyond in Croatia and elsewhere this season. shaunvamos
2036 Preseason We use our new found transfer money to bring in some players, including a Paraguayan, Colombian, Angolan and an Austrian on an amateur contract, as well as two Croats. Full-Back Wing-Back Segundo Volante Winger False Nine Advanced Forward Just the one friendly, a win over a team in the division below. We've jumped up the predictions, as we welcome 2 new teams into the top division. EURO 2036 I tell you what, there were some absolute groups of death in this edition. Reigning European champions and 2030 World champions Holland are eliminated in the group stage, losing out to Switzerland and hosts Germany. Elsewhere, Romania won their group over Spain in a group that also included Armenia, Portugal needed a but of luck to qualify after finishing behind France and Norway, Bulgaria won their group over Croatia and Belgium, whilst England won their very former Yugoslav group and Northern Ireland join Italy and Denmark into the knockouts at Austria's expense. Could we be seeing the turning point in strong European teams? Round of 16 Germany and Spain were both pushed but ultimately successful, Portugal knock Italy out, and Bulgaria reach the quarter finals in an unlikely occurrence. Quarter Finals Two thrashings here, as Bulgaria and Spain are dumped unceremoniously out of the tournament, and Croatia experience elimination on penalties. We go from a set of interesting results that suggested change in the group stage to four of the usual European superpowers. Maybe in 2040. Semi Finals France posts their second 3-0 win over a big team, immediately putting themselves as favourites, even though Portugal defeated Germany in the 2034 World Cup final rematch. Portugal are the current European finalists though, so their strength cannot be underestimated. Final It's shades of 2016 all over again, as Portugal lift their second Euro, going one better than they did last time! shaunvamos
July 2036 We have two of our first team guys away at the Olympics, including our goalkeeper, and his replacement has a lower keeper rating than one of our outfield players despite being a keeper Despite this, we opened our campaign with a win over the defending champions Hajduk followed by a draw at Osijek. We were disappointing against Derry when we went there, but we quickly put them to the sword in Croatia, with 4 goals and a red card within the first 20 minutes. We face a much sterner test in the next round against Kobenhavn though.
shaunvamos
August 2036 What a month! We're the only undefeated team left in the Croatian First League, and we exceeded my expectations in the Europa League, qualifying for the league phase! We're facing some huge teams, especially Feyenoord, Villarreal, Red Star Belgrade and last year's Conference League finalists Cukaricki. I'm not sure how we'll go here, but keeping the scores respectable would be awesome.
shaunvamos
September 2036 We finally lose in the league, and it looks like Hajduk are already going to run away with it. We also get off to a decent start with an away draw against Red Star.
shaunvamos
October 2036 An unbeaten month again, as we progress past the Croatian Cup Second Round for the first time, and even have a chance to shorten the gap to Hajduk at the top of the league. shaunvamos
November 2036 Two close losses in the league, but we're still safely in the top 3, whilst in the Europa League we're doing great! We FM'd Villarreal and then smashed Olimpija, so now we're sitting pretty in 10th.
shaunvamos
December 2036 An unbeaten month to end the year, and we head into second place as a result. shaunvamos
January 2037 We say goodbye to record goalscorer Noah Vincenti at the end of the season, as Chelsea graciously loaned him back to us. He's been pushed out of the first team anyway, so it'll be interesting to see what Chelsea have in store for him. We qualify for the Europa League knockout playoffs as one of two teams to go through the league phase undefeated!
shaunvamos
February 2037 We drop a couple of results, but we get an important win over Varazdin to jump them into second place. We give a spirited performance against Celtic to go through to the round of 16, where we face Stuttgart. We beat Stuttgart 4-2 in January in a friendly, so we've got what it takes to beat them. But can we do it when it really matters?
shaunvamos
2037 Youth Intake Max Berković 5A - Ivan Šimičić 5B - Ivan Sušić-Marić 5C An okay intake, but our promising goalkeeper has an awful personality.
shaunvamos
March 2037 Varazdin stumble, giving us some space in second, while Hajduk have already won with 7 games to go. Stuttgart also proved a step too far for us, but we won at home which I'm more than happy with.
shaunvamos
April 2037 We navigate a very tough month quite well, beating Dinamo twice, reaching our first cup final, and are 4 points clear with 4 games to go. The real story here though is Dinamo having the potential to miss Europe for the first time in over 30 years!

shaunvamos
2037 Preseason We've raided one particular club in Slovenia it seems one of them is Croatian though. We would've had a second Croatian, a left back, but Udinese sniped him offering 3 times the wages we could. One day we'll have that money, but this is all about the journey. shaunvamos
August 2037 This is incredible, we've gone 7 for 7 including an away win over Hajduk. In fact, the only loss we've had was at home to Wacker Modling in the Champions League qualifiers, which was unbelievably turned around in Austria with a 4-0 drubbing. We're in the Champions League! There are not a lot of teams here that we can beat, but we're in the Champions League so who cares?!
shaunvamos
September 2037 Dinamo hand us our first loss because of course they do, but we're still 6 points in front. shaunvamos
November 2037 Osijek have put their name forward as our title challengers, absolutely flogging us, and after a good win over Shakhtar we sit 20th, just ahead of Hajduk.
shaunvamos
December 2037 Player rotation due to fatigue gave us a loss to HNK Gorica, but it was worth it to beat Klagenfurt and giving us a stronger chance of qualifying for the playoffs. shaunvamos
January 2038 Las Palmas met Pembele's release clause, so off he goes. We have a tough welcome back to the league, facing both Hajduk and Dinamo away, but we escape with draws. In the Champions League, a heavy loss to Chelsea and a narrower loss to Southampton wasn't enough to knock us out of a playoff spot, as we scrape in at 22nd. Hajduk came 23rd and will join us there. We will face Juventus and Hajduk play Villarreal. I would much rather play Villarreal Edited January 7, 2023 by shaunvamos
shaunvamos
February 2038 Understandably out of the Champions League, but we kept it pretty close (Hajduk also kept it close but ultimately lost as well). shaunvamos
Hajduk matched us every step of the way, but a season defining string of performances from Mario Gamarra ensured we stayed that one point ahead for the rest of the season. shaunvamos
2038 Preseason We have our largest spending ever, even though most of that will be paid on backended deals, but we also say goodbye to 3 key players - two who wanted to explore their options, and the other left because their release clause was met. I really need to offer contracts to players earlier, as it seems like players are opting not to extend more often in this edition of FM. Sweeper Keeper Central Defender Full-Back Wing-Back Winger We've added the super cup to the accolades, and we're finally predicted to finish in the top 3. 2038 World Cup This has been a very fun group stage, with a few teams not commonly seen in the tournament participating, like UAE, Jamaica, Syria, Israel, Zambia, Thailand and El Salvador. What was even better is that there were some huge upsets and eliminations really early, with USA getting eliminated by Israel, Nigeria and Iran finishing above Switzerland, Thailand beating Portugal and topping their group as a result, and South Korea getting eliminated by El Salvador. Croatia had an insanely strong start, winning 8-0 and 5-0 over Syria and Cameroon respectively. Second Round Plenty of big scorelines here, ad Croatia continued their excellent form with a 3-0 defeat of hosts South Africa. Israel also caused a huge shock by dunking on Colombia 3-1, Serbia knocked Uruguay out, and the Netherlands lost to Portugal, continuing their bad luck in the tournament since winning it in 2030. Don't think I didn't see Thailand smashing El Salvador either. Round of 16 Croatia are looking the goods here, as they defeat Argentina 2-0 to advance to the last 8. They still haven't conceded a goal! Elsewhere, Mexico knocked Italy out in a huge upset, England and France struggled to victory over teams they should theoretically beat comfortably, and two of the world's most consistent teams played an absolute stormer as current holders Germany knocked out current European champions Portugal in a repeat of the 2034 final and the 2036 Euro semi final. It's turning into quite the rivalry! Thailand's amazing run is also over, as Ivory Coast carry the hopes of all of Africa in the first World Cup in the continent in 28 years. Quarter Finals After a brilliant series of performances leading up to the quarter finals Croatia are out, smashed by Mexico who are looking excellent. History will be made as they play Ivory Coast in the semi final, after the Ivorians knocked out England on penalties in true English fashion. Elsewhere, there were two heavyweight battles won by Spain and Germany, who are looking to go back to back and can dare to dream. Semi Final That's the second 3-0 win for Mexico in a row, and they've only conceded 1 goal the entire tournament so far. Germany lose their opportunity to go back to back as well as Spain win 2-1. Germany did go on to win the 3rd place playoff 4-0 but that was probably of little consolation. Final In what could be seen as very cathartic for Mexican fans, they have won their first ever World Cup, defeating their former colonial overlords Spain after a goal in the 3rd minute, holding on to win even as they were out xG'd by 1.5 goals. Awesome! I will also be taking over the Croatian job now, but a World Cup quarter final will be a tough to follow.

shaunvamos
August 2038 Two more reserve players leave. How is it that we can lose to Vrazdin and then flog both Rijeka and Hajduk? Baffling. Another tough run of fixtures in the Champions League, but we can probably get something from Austrian champs St Polten and Norwegian champs Strommen, who won the league in their 3rd season in the Eliteserien. Maybe we can get something from Porto or Brest.
shaunvamos
September 2038 Osijek once again rain on our parade, thrashing us at around the same time they did last year. shaunvamos
October 2038 We've had a whole bunch of injuries and suspensions this month, so the fact that we navigated the domestic side of things unbeaten is excellent, especially against Hajduk where we had 2 players sent off before the end of the first half. shaunvamos
November 2038 Rijeka flogged us, but we're still just a point behind Hajduk as we slip down the table in the Champions League. shaunvamos
December 2038 A good month in the league, but with games against Inter and Porto left I think we're done in the Champions League for this year.
shaunvamos
January 2039 Vrbanac leaves for 2.2m to Hungary, netting us a profit of about 1.3m. No more Champions League, and Osijek took great joy in that as they smashed us for the second time this season. 40% of our conceded goals have come at the hands of them. That'll probably spell the end of our chances for the title unless Hajduk slip up, something I don't see them doing.
