Mardy
I’ve been promoted and really struggling to find any decent players. My board refuses to turn us professional and rejects any transfer budget increases. My tactics were pretty good last year, we massively overachieved and scored/created the most goals but I haven’t tested in this league yet. Just feels like it will be impossible to compete with the professional teams!
fc.cadoni
Loans from Senior Affiliate and Free Agents. That's the life in LL; and debt. Hope you get promotion to league where professional status is mandatory.
Simsimmabrfc85
I normally go on contracts expired click on WR (world reputation) brings up some has Beens who’s beasts in the non league and like said above the loan market sort by highest valuation is what I’ve always done.
anagain
Pace, strength; generally physical abilities. They all make for a good time at that level. Of course, if you walked the regional you probably know that. Like said, loans will get you a long way but sometimes the best players aren't the priciest. You will prob do more harm spending too much. Look for young players eager to prove and mix with some experience. Aging players might take a pay cut. Dont be afraid to lose a good player if he can make you some money.
Conardo
Free players are the key. Make it simple: Physical abilities, free players, easy instructions.
Mardy
Thanks all, Seems the league isn't as hard as I envisaged, currently 5 points clear in January! Pace has been key, along with having a constant stream of trialists. Also, I am for the first time (I think ever in FM), making a profit in the non-league! We have gone from around 70k to 300k since the start of the season, without any crazy cup runs.
eXistenZ
I'm 99% certain you will turn professional when you enter League 2. The difference between North/south and National isnt that big, so just do the same: keep it simple, loans, trials, prioritise physical traits
