Big matches hidden until 22 years old

Big matches is a hidden trait until the players are 22 years old. My question is, does the players have their big matches number set even before 22, just not showing?

correct. its a hidden attribute (like professionalism, consistency), but the coach wont report on it untill he is 22. But it is there. If you have the editor you can check it.

Personally i would only panick if its a really low value, like "dreads big matches". Hidden attributes can change and grow (or go down). My star regen of FM21 had "doesnt enjoy big matches" and grew out of it to a neutral value
