Hi all,

This is mostly because I want to keep track of this save, so I can come back and reminisce, as I always end up forgetting what happened in my previous saves.

Simple stuff so no long Intro, Journeyman save, starting unemployed with the lowest badge.

The goal is to win the European Champions League.

We'll see how far it goes. Come and join me

Current Season

The team was predicted to finish 8th but is having an absolute stinker of a season. Our aim is to try and avoid relegation in what remains from the season. It will be a tough ask

The Squad

Loads of players are unregistered. If we make it past this season, we are going to need to do a major overhaul

Standout Players

Latvian international Ingras Strugal is the best player at the club.

The Transfers

As we are nearing the end of the season, the Latvian transfer window is closed, However, we had 10 days to add free agents to the side, and we signed anyone who was willing to put pen to paper

Screenshot(48).thumb.png.ad1ff0efc266812f63cd7946cf8c1ec0.png

Having spent hours looking at every free agent we could find on transfermarkt, I have signed 7 players. However, due to some bug, I could only register two, and i am stuck footing the bill for another 5 who would have guaranteed us staying up. Nonetheless, these two players join

September

We grab the first win of our career with a spirited performance against the side in 5th place.

Our next opponent is the only team we've beaten before Metta, followed by the only team that could get relegated other than us. A huge two games await

  • Ace40 changed the title to Yet another Journeyman save - Starting out in Latvia

October

With survival in our hands, we set out against two tough games and fell way off the mark.

Screenshot(60).thumb.png.aa7cbce2aa61a160e546f0d00fb6beca.png

The board had seen enough and decided to cut their losses short. A painful debut for our manager, but a relegation dogfight was too much for him to handle

After a disgraceful tenure in Latvia, it will take some miracle for our Dutchman to get another job, but undeterred, he applies to every job in sight

December

Somehow,  Van Koopermiester has landed another job in the top flight. This time in Wales.

Pontypridd United A.F.C. are also in the relegation zone, but with plenty of football left to play, survival is more achievable

December

A tiny squad to work with, some reinforcements will be needed in the January window.

A string of good results sees us out of the relegation zone. This team is woeful at the back but can score goals. The focus will definitely be on getting defenders in January.

January transfers

The Welsh league only allows you six players on loan, and the club already had 5 players when we walked in. It severely limited our ability in the market, but we still made some useful additions.

Dan Jefferies signed on a free, while Jones joined from Wrexham on loan

Despite being our best player since joining, Dan Jones kicked up a fuss and was recalled for being played out of position. A huge blow for our survival chances

February

A crucial win was followed by two disappointing defeats. Both times we were equal on XG but they finished their chances while we couldn't

  Screenshot (81).png

We were knocked out of the Cup by Airbus, while we played our second string. They managed to grab two wins in the league, including one over Flint Town, and are making a late charge for avoiding relegation

UP Next

Two season-deciding games against Flint Town and Airbus, win them and odds are we avoid getting relegated for the second time in our career.

March

A win and a loss, survival isn't guaranteed as the two sides play each other on the final day. We need 3 points from our final 3 games to have a chance at survival.

THE RUN IN

WE FM Haverfordwest with our keeper saving 9 shots on target. A vital three points, but there is some bad news to come with it. Club top goal scorer Danny Williams got injured, and will have to play next game with injections

before missing the final game of the season. Elsewhere in the league. Flint town get a point and are ahead on GD, meaning should we match their result next week and they manage to beat Airbus on the final day, we could still go down

Bottled It?

After taking the lead. we give away a stupid penalty to let them back in it before conceding a late winner.

Elsewhere in the league, Airbus got a vital 3 points and is now in the driver's seat. One point from our final game would be enough or a draw between Airbus and Flint Town

What's next

We announce our intention to step down at the end of the season. The loan rules combined with work permit rules in Wales are too restricting, and the club is losing all their players. They also refused to send me on a Coaching course, so the time has come to leave.

Dazzling in Denmark

After a grueling few months, we land a job in the Danish fourth division. With a full preseason and a fresh start, Our Dutchman is hoping he can stave off the relegation battle and start building his career

I forgot to take a screenshot of the club overview, but they are predicted to finish 2nd in the division, which is an automatic promotion spot

The squad

Everybody is on an amateur contract, our transfer activity will be restricted to try and poach the media dream eleven and kill off the competition

August

A good start to the season saw us demolish lower side Korup 7-0 in the First round of the Danish Cup, followed by two wins out of 3 in the league.

I won't bother with showing transfers as everyone is on an amateur contract and the turnover is high

Licensed!

We bag a national C licence to get us some much needed paperwork, the board rejected the next one due to lack of funds, for context we are 27K in the red

November

Our great form continues, we remain top and lost only one game, due to getting a red card in the first half and giving away a needless penalty in the second.

Due to the harsh Danish winters, the Winter break will last until late February, which is when we will return

Poaching Season

One of the main reasons of our good fortune this season is my act of poaching top players of other clubs

there are some players that haven't even played for me, but when they get paid 0$, it makes sense to weaken the opposition

The biggest coup however is the signing of Skjellerup. He is the league's top goal scorer and has been carrying our rivals

Aarhus. He didn't consider speaking to me all season, until for now. He's already scored on his debut, and he'll guarantee us the title.

Aarhus's starting striker now is a 16 year old newgan, who in fairness has bagged 3 goals in 4 games.

Another benefit of the 0$ contracts is that whenever a bench player kicks up a fuss they immediately get the sack

April

April saw the league split into the promotion and relegation phase, thankfully the points don't get halved, so despite no longer facing the bottom six

we are still cruising toward a league title and promotion to the third division.

OLE OLE OLE

Ronald Van Koopermiester wins his first trophy of his career after leading SfB-Oure FA to the 3.Division in Denmark.

The club will play in the 3rd division (2.Division) for the second time in history next season

We have dominated this campaign, breaking the league record for most wins in a season

May

May saw us lift the trophy following a 5-1 dismantling of FA 2000. We will heavily rotate the side for the last few fixtures so expect some points being dropped

Player Spotlight

Meet Magnus Schou, the worst goal scoring striker on earth. He can't pass, he can't dribble, he can't shoot, but he will score the ugliest goals you'll ever see

Rebounds, deflections. Great strikers find the ball and put it in the net, the ball finds Magnus Schou and ends up in the net.

Goalkeeers are so terrified, they will drop the simplest of shots into the back of the net. He ends up as our top scorer, with 19 goals on an XG of 12.73

Screenshot(145).thumb.png.fd61ded30d16199e75378727abf27d02.png

On the other end of the pitch is Alexander Horsebog. Not much to write here but he was a very solid keeper who deserved a mention. He also has a nice picture, a rarity for players this division

New Season, Same team

We decide to remain in Denmark this season. The teams we can sign for are playing in the same division in other countries, so it isn't worth the switch

Also, the board only wants us to avoid relegation, while the season preview has us as 6th, I'm hoping with a few more signings we can push for promotion

I read somewhere that if you exceed board expectations you get more reputation, which even if we miss out on promotion means we can move to a better team

My reputation is currently 1 and a half stars

The Prodigal Son arrives

Strengthening the squad has proven to be a tough ask, as most players who are willing to sign for us are not better than the ones at the club

Until we found Damian Van Der Vaart, sounds familiar? The son of the legendary Dutch midfielder joins us on a free transfer to be our first, and so far only signing of the sign

August

Early days but a promotion push is looking like a tough ask. We haven't been able to strengthen the squad, however, a place in the 2nd round of the cup

and 5 points from 3 away games to start is not terrible. No one is running away with the league in this early stage as well so it looks like a competitive season

September

Another tough month for us, the loss against Aarhus, the team we dominated last season is especially disappointing

We are at least through to the third round of the cup, where we will face a non-league team. A chance for us to make a cup run

The lack of goalscoring is hurting us, our main man who we poached last season has only one goal so far, which came in the cup
