No. FM23 has been good on the whole actually. This was caused completely by me. If I cast from my laptop it 100% causes an FM crash every time. It's not the 1st time it's happened and you would think I would know by now, but you know how it is, you get sidetracked, you come back and you want to cast something from laptop to TV and then as soon as you press the button you remember FM and boom! it's too late.
Jimbokav1971
End of Season Summary. SuperLeague. I'm not sure if it was me losing concentration late in the season, or fatigue kicking in or unhappiness than many of the 1st Team want to leave, or a mixture of all the above, but our form late on, (especially that of the 1st Team), wasn't anywhere near as good as it was earlier in the season. We conceded 12 goals in 36 games, but 9 of those goals came in the last 11 matches, (which also included the drawn game). We conceded just 3 goals in the opening 9 games of the season, and then went 16 SuperLeague games without conceding. Kosovan Cup. We were never really troubled in any of these games. Champions League. Brilliant campaign. U19's. 1 single loss. We retained the UEFA Youth League. Not sure what this is but it looks like the Super Cup between the winnners of the UEFA Youth League and whatever the South American equivalent is. Squad by Appearances. (32g) Kadriu 6'1" * wants a new contract but he has 4 years left on his contract so I'm not keen. I'm wondering about the link between unhappiness and drop in form though so I might have to bite the bullet for those who want a new deal and are 1st Team players, (or will be next season). Squad by Goals. (33e) Shumeli * scored a whopping 60 goals in all competitions, and won the Champions League Golden boot in doing so. He hardly scored a league goal in the 1st half of the season because he rarely played in SuperLeague games. Squad by Assists. (34c) Hidri (Perfect) * started off as a Perfectionist and then dropped to either (F.Pro) or (F.Det) and is now only (Bal). Despite that, I really like him. Squad by Avg Rating. (33f) Fahrni (KOS)(SUI) * isn't someone I considered a star, but he just seems really consistent, is always available and always scores. He scored 30 of his 35 goals in the SuperLeague and that shows where hos focus was for me. Internationals. Caps. International Caps awarded to Academy products who are no longer at the club. Main. U21's. U19's. U18's. 2 players called up for 2038 World Cup being held in South Africa. Hall of Fame. Records. Awards. Finances. What are your goals now? Do you think you could go on and win a European competition? I've got to be honest with you @KristianTthe biggest barriers to us doing very well either at club or International level are.... 1. keeping myself motivated to play while we're trouncing teams for much of the season. 2. The release of FM24. 3. Me taking of the (KOS) NT but not enjoying it and it killing the save. I think that I might be tempted to go really hands off and try a sort of DoF role at club level if I took over the (KOS) NT role. The problem with that is that if I don't develop the players then will they develop here without me? (I'm talking PPM's and individual training and game-time and the like). I guess we will see. I'm still engaged with it now, but let's see how I feel next Summer when I sell quite a few current starters. At the moment the 1st Team starters are earning £2.5k-£5k per month and they all seem to want a 10x increase. [Edit] Thanks very much for the kind words by the way @KristianT. Appreciate it and glad you're enjoying it. [Edit2] In terms of whether we could win a European competition I think the answer is possibly. I've won the Europa League and/or the Europa Conference with Welsh and Icelandic clubs before, so I certainly think they're possible with a little luck, but at the same time I think we're a little way away from even getting close in the Champions League. The biggest barrier is probably our rep in terms of by the time the players get good enough to compete at that level, (even if we were able to produce players of the required quality), they would want to move away long before reaching their PA. [Edit3] I'm increasingly finding myself looking at the results of the (KOS) National Team and I wonder what I might be capable of there....... Jimbokav1971
Squad Depth. Jul 2038. GK. (32g) Kadriu 6'1" * 1st Team. For a long time in this save our defence, (especially at centre-half), has been weak, but things are turning around now and we have players playing International football at centre-half which shows how much we have improved. That being said, it is probably the are of the squad in which there is most room for growth in terms of the difference between CA and PA. We only have 1x player better than 3.0 CA, and just about everyone has better PA than that. It's just a matter of picking the right ones and getting them there. (32c) Nurmi (KOS)(FIN) 5'11" * is our best centre-half and he only has 2 years on his contract and is wanted by various MLS clubs. Valued at £6.8M-£8M I don't think it makes sense to keep him for the 2nd season and let him leave on a free, so this coming season will probably be his last for us before we let him go. The other thing is of course that his absence opens another slot for a young player to come in and shine. With the contracts of (32c) Nurmi (KOS)(FIN) 5'11" *, (33j) Sulejmani 6'5" (Merc) * & (32e) Vlcek (SVK) 6'5" * all expiring in the Summer of 2040, we could be losing 3 players with International caps next Summer. Jimbokav1971
Bids for (33e) Shumeli *(Round GK). Jul 2038. As mentioned (33e) Shumeli *(Round GK) has 2 years left on his contract so we will be selling by latest next Summer, but he's attracting a fair bit of interest right now. My thinking right now is that even if someone came in with £10M for him I would still say no because I just don't want to sell him. Once/if we qualify for the Champions League Group Stage I might be more tempted to sell him this season, but otherwise I will either look to sell him in January or next Summer. 91 league goals is great, but it's actually 148 goals in all competitions and he's been enormously influential when it comes to our European Qualifying campaign.

Jimbokav1971
Jan Transfer Window. Feb 2039. [Edit] I could have got more money for (32c) Nurmi (KOS)(FIN) 5'11" *, but when you have £79M in the bank and nothing to spend it on, some things are worth more than money. Not only did I get him on loan until the end of the season, but we also got him until January next season, (so through our European qualification campaign), The 50% sell-on is just silly, but my plan is that if I keep doing this for everyone I can, sooner or later we will hit the jackpot. Jimbokav1971
Youth Intake day. Mar 2039. I don't have enough evidence to know this for a fact, but I have a sneaking suspicion that whatever the dynamics are between a Youth Intake of a Semi-Pro club with "x" level of facilities and and a Pro club with "x" level of facilities, then the balance isn't right. The level of player we were producing while a Semi-Pro club was significantly better than the level of player we have produced since turning Pro and there just isn't a reason for it. Our facilities have actually increased in level, but the level of player produced has decreased. Of course it could be just random bad luck and a coincidence, but I've encountered this before and I don't think it's a coincidence. With that in mind I think it's time I've got to be honest with you, I',m so hacked off with the low (Det) and low (Amb) from this intake that it's hard to take any pleasure from the 16 and 15 finishing attributes in 2 of the strikers we have signed. I'm not signing any of these players. (7 players is a LOT of players to be released). This is our current HoYD and we've had him since 2024, (so 15 years), and he's done brilliantly for is in that the players he's produced in the past have been excellent for us, but the players he's produced recently haven't been up to scratch and it's hurting us. I'm going to attempt a mutual termination and if that doesn't work I'm just going to terminate his contract and pay him off, and if that doesn't work I will wait for his contract to expire in the Summer and then release him and sign someone else. Popular Post Jimbokav1971
European Campaign. 2038/39. Champions League. I must admit that I did consider "throwing" the Champions League games to drop into the Europa League, (actually the thought I had was to throw the Champions League game to drop into the Europa League and then throw the Europa League game to drop into the Europa Conference), but I never actually got around to checking what round we had to throw so it never happened. As luck would have it, FC København sorted that out for us. Europa League Group Stage. Europa League Knockout Rounds. You just know we're gonna end up playing in Capi Stadium. That's a really good point actually, and I wonder how much of an impact it made on his "favoured personnel" ranking. He's been playing for the 2nd Team this season, (so his SuperLeague numbers are up), but his career stats in all competitions are still rather impressive. 230(48) appearances 153 goals 107 assists 45 POM awards. Jimbokav1971
Facilities. May 2039. Got to the Final of a European Trophy... What's in it for me? Reputation. I'm guessing that our European campaign boosted our reputation and this allowed us to ask for the next level of Youth Facility upgrade. It's popped another half star, but we still haven't moved to Continental rep. [Edit] I would like to think that with the new, (and hugely improved), HoYD and this upgrade, our intake quality should surely get a boost next season. That fact that our rep is so high also makes it far more likely that any (KOS) stars will come through here rather than at another (KOS) club, although the big challenge is still (KOS) starlets coming through at big clubs abroad. Jimbokav1971
New Ass Man. May 2039. Jimbokav1971
End of Season Summary. May 2039. SuperLeague. We only conceded 13 goals in the league all season, but 2 of them were conceded in the same game against "Drunk Drita", and as a result we lost our 1st game after 4 consecutive unbeaten seasons. I really can't complain though. I must admit there is something really satisfying about scoring double-figure goals in a competitive game. UEFA Europa League. The difference in quality of the UEFA Europa League in comparison to the UEFA Champions League is big, but there is also no doubting that we played some good teams along the way. We were smashed to bits by injuries at the start of the season and I have no doubt that if we played FC København or HamKam in the Europa league Final we would have dispatched them with ease. I do wonder with our constant development how well we might be capable of doing in the Champions League though. The other thing I would say is that whereby we always used to just beat teams by scoring 1, (or usually more than 1), more goal than they did, now we are able to keep it tight when not scoring freely ourselves. The 0-0's against Rapid Vienna & Roma in the Group Stage. The 1-0 away to Lille and of course the 0-0 in the Final. Kosovan Cup. U19's. The U19's did what the Seniors couldn't do and went unbeaten in the league. Goal-scoring GK's. Yes, this is back! I just couldn't resist. I won't bother to show you all the pens, but here are the free-kicks at least. Squad by Appearances. Squad by Goals. Squad by Assists. Squad by Avg Rating. Facilities. We're really progressing well here and are due another Youth Facility before the next Youth Intake preview arrives. On top of the new HoYD thinks are looking decent here. Of more concern is the new stadium, (location still being looked at), but the longer it takes to be found the better chance there is of a bigger capacity. Jimbokav1971
Board Culture. Jun 2039. I know this is only a little thing, but it really bugs me because the importance is quite high at 3 of 4 bars. This whole thing just doesn't make sense. We've scored loads of goals, but let's see how many we scored from set-pieces. We were awarded 16 penalties in 36 league games, (so a pen every 2.25 games). I would also add that if the measure of success here is "looking threatening" from set-pieces, then just being awarded the pen should be good enough even though we only converted 10 of 16 pens in the league. Corners see us sit joint top and I really put almost zilch effort into corners because I feel it's too easy to exploit. Direct Free-Kicks sees us top again, as our GK smashed in 5 in the league. Indirect free-kicks see us also top as our GK manged 10 assists and 9 of them were in the league.

What I find interesting here is that while (33f) Fahrni (KOS)(SUI) * has won the accolade this season, it has been won twice before by Kosovan club players in this save and both were playing for Ballkani rather than us at the time. (33f) Fahrni (KOS)(SUI) * scored 43 goals lin 2038/39 for us. (29a) Vonmoos (KOS)(SUI) scored 49 goals in 2037/38 for Ballkani. Quite chuffed actually. Just getting there was a big deal and I thought we were only in the Quarters when we got to the Final.
Jimbokav1971
New contract, (but not for me). Jun 2039. The plan initially was (33e) Shumeli * to be sold with 12 months on his contract (ie. now), but with our last 2 intakes being pretty underwhelming, I have changed tact and signed him up to a new long-term contract. My thinking is that we can still sell him, and I don't think a wage of £25k per month is going to be a barrier for a club spending £1M on him, (and indeed his value has risen now as a result). Where the player won't re-sign then I will continue to sell, but where there is reluctance we will still cash in if needed.
Jimbokav1971
Rankings. Jun 2039. This says that the Kosovan SuperLeague has moved up 3 places to 38th position, but the rankings actually show that it has dropped 6 places from 28th to 34. This is based on Rep which is based on club performances and players, (I think). We've risen from 37th to 22nd in the European club rankings, (based on club coefficients), and I expect to see another rise next season as the season record that's dropping off is only a 7.00 and the other seasons since then have been 14.00, 16.00, 16,00 & 28.00 last season when we won the Europa League. There has been significant progress in the Nation coefficients table, (largely driven by us), and this means that we now enter the Champions League qualification stage at the 3rd Round. It also means that the 2nd team in the league gets a spot in Europa League qualification rather than the Europa Conference. In real terms this is bad for us, (because I love playing those early games), but it's good for the Runners Up in the SuperLeague because although Ballkani are not good enough to make the Group Stage of the Europa Conference via qualifying, entering via the Europa League and then dropping into the Europa Conference should give them an easier route.
Jimbokav1971
Kosovan clubs in Europa Last season. Jun 2039. Ballkani. This says that they were already in the Europa League last season so no idea what's going on. Either way they got stuffed by the Poles and then stuffed again by the Italians. They're both tough draws. Drita. That's another tough draw. I really must try and loan them a striker before this season's European games kick off. Llapi. Actually, I think I need to loan them all a striker. It looks like we're not getting much help with regards to coefficient building.

Congratulations on the Europa win, hopefully the lack of qualifying games this season (I assume the winners of Europa still go straight in the CL Group Stage in the new format) prevent any early season injury crisis.

You know I'm not completely sure about where we enter this years competition and I hadn't given it a seconds thought until I read your post. The truth is I don't know yet. I also don't know if we get a 5th European spot for this season or we just use 1 of the existing 4 slots and it would only become 5 slots if we didn't also qualify for the Champions league via the league. Will update you when I know.

Jimbokav1971
Goal-scoring GK's. Aug 2039. Our GK (32g) Kadriu 6'1" * only started taking free-kicks and pens last season, (he scored 22 goals and 10 assists in all competitions), but he has just missed a penalty, (or seen his penalty saved to be more accurate), in our 5th game of the season. Had he converted it he would have scored in all 5 games this season. He's taken 19 shots in these 5 games, (scoring 5 goals), and only conceded the 3 goals that Real Madrid scored past him in the UEFA Super Cup. Jimbokav1971
European Campaign. Aug 2039. @BMLrecently asked if we go straight into the Champions League Group stage, (because we're the Europa League Champions), and the answer is that yes we do indeed. This is great because it guarantees us Champions League Group Stage football, but it also means we miss out on the easier qualifying games. We're not short of money, so the biggest thing it will do for us is boost our Reputation. Finances.
