who's having a bit of 600-1? 

I think my plan for this season is to just assume that we're coming straight back down, just enjoy the experience of being in the top flight, speed through the season pretty quickly rotating the squad from preset 1 to preset 2 and filling in gaps where needed. The only thing that just might save us, (and might it's a huge might), is that Drenica are rubbish too so we only have to finish ahead of 1 other club and we're out of auto-relegation and into the Playoffs.

Squad selection in the SuperLeague. Jul 2026. 

I had looked for registration rules and when I couldn't find any limitations I assumed that we could register as many as we wanted, (up to 99). In fact this is not the case and I must have missed it. We still have the limit of 35 players being registered for the SuperLeague, but at least now we don't have to register U19 players, (which is many of our squad). 

There is also a limit of 6 "foreign players" registered, but I haven't even bothered to check what does and doesn't constitute a "foreign player". I "think" that it's anyone who isn't Kosovan or Albanian, but I will double check on that and get back to you, (probably when I have a player who doesn't have one of those Nationalities).

Once I unregister all the U19's we only have 19x over 19's at the club, so they have all been registered. 

I have selected a squad of 21 players, (1x GK and 2x outfield 10's, and this will form the basis of our squad.

I've then selected a 2026 1 and a 2026 2 Saved Team selection that looks like this.

That way I can swap from 1 XI to the next when we play twice a week without trying to remember who plays with whom. All I will need to do is replace anyone who's unavailable. The added bonus of this is that it develops partnerships more effectively than swapping and changing the whole time.

The 1st Team squad is now made up of these 21 players + 9 others who are too old to play in the U19's. 

If I had signed these other 9 players to PT contracts then I would be throwing money away, but as they are all on NC contracts I'm happy for them to remain here in case we lose a player.

Transfers. Aug 2026.

Yep, you heard that right. Transfers, (both in and out), albeit  not for any money. 

(23) Sallaku * did quite well when he was with us before, (3 goals in 5(18) appearances), before he was nabbed by Vushtrria to play in the SuperLeague, (and he did make 1 sub appearance in the SuperLeague. He doesn't look great, but I'm hoping that he has decent(ish) PA and that's why they signed him so young. 

(22) Gashi * is a player I really liked and I was gutted when Istogu poached him away for us. He made 6 starts for them in the SuperLeague that season, but when they were relegated he didn't feature at all last season back in the First League. He might not be a really good player for other SuperLeague sides, but he certainly is for us and it's brilliant to get him back. 

When (23) Muca chose to leave it took me by surprise. He had been approached before, (as had many others), and I had always just upped their NC terms a little to encourage them to stay. (23) Muca was 2nd choice and although he had made 69 appearances over the last 3 seasons, the split was actually 17(52) so he was rarely 1st choice and only then just covering for someone who was injured/suspended. Because of this I thought I would save a few quid and not up his NC terms because he was never going to choose to join an U19's side when he was a member of our 1st Team squad and we had just been promoted to the SuperLeague. Right? Right? Wrong.  

(24p) Ibraimi. is a player who left with my blessing.

Contracts. Aug 2026. 

We haven't turned Pro, (1. because I didn't even ask and 2 because 1 lot of Superleague TV money does not a Pro club make), but we are at least able to offer PT contracts now. With that in mind I offered PT contracts to most of the players in the 21 man double pre-set XI that I set up. 

It means that the contract situation looks like this for the match squad for Day 1 of the SuperLeague season. 

By the way, in rather anti-climatic fashion, our 1st game is against our friends form the First League last season, (Drenica), so we won't get a full idea of what this level holds until then 2nd game, (against Gjilani who finished 3rd), and it's interesting that it's mid-week straight away. We will be trying to our points in game 1 and then rotating immediately for game 2. The only problem with that is that we only really have 1 Libero at the club in (23) Xhemajli. 6''0", (and I use the term "Libero" REALLY loosely), so who knows what that will mean. 

I'm always on the lookout for new ways that I can use to identify players who might have better PA than others in the group, (when pretty much everyone has a similar PA star rating), so after posting the above picture I sorted it by Transfer Value and this is what I got. 

Only 10 players have a transfer value at all, (everyone else is at £0), but what caught my eye is that only 1 of them is on a Youth contract..... 

(25i) Ramadan * has a (Merc) personality so I doubt he will be here long anyway, but I do look at the way his valuation stands out in comparison to every other Youth contract valuation at the club and wonder if he is just a little bit better than them? Might be worth keeping an eye on him and reminding me of this at a later date, (to confirm or refute), if I forget. 

For what it's worth I don't mind a (Merc) personality. It's all about developing the player and it seems that (Amb) helps with that. The lack of loyalty is neither here nor there. He's either contracted and he stays or he's not contracted and he leaves. I just have to pay him to stay if that's what I want. Obviously a template like this is able to hide a multitude of sins, but we do know for 100% that (Amb) is 16+ and we need to take little guaranteed wins like that in a save like this.

SuperLeague. There's no doubt that we've been well-beaten and this is a big step up, but if I'm completely honest with you I was expecting to concede 4's, 5's and even  more. In the Drenica game, (supposedly the easiest of the season), we conceded a penalty and 2 shots outside the area in what was a close game. We were battered against Gjilani, but even then it was 2-1 until the 89th min so we were still in the game looking for a goal that would earn us a point. Against Vushtrria it was 1-0 until we had a player sent off and they only made it 2-0 in the 91st min. Against Llapi it was 0-0 until the 78th min. By infatuation with (Det) came good again as we came back from 2-0 down to win 4-2 at Liria. This is the sort of game I was expecting more of, but possibly with us conceding 6 or 7. Did we win the Liria game because of my rotation policy? I think it certainly played a part. 

xG watch. I wasn't going to bother showing xG this season, but I wanted to look at it myself so I thought I might as well show it.

Facilities. We're in the SuperLeague and this honeymoon period won't last forever when we continue to get pumped every week, so I had better ask now while I can.

I wasn't going to ask for Training Facilities and Youth Facilities upgrades, but the truth is I don't know exactly how expensive they are, we've got a few quid in the bank and our existing facilities are at such a low level, (Training 2 Youth 1), that it's likely that next upgrade won't cost an arm and a leg. 

The Youth Facilities were rejected because of money, (and I don't have an issue with that). 

But the Training Facilities were rejected for something other than money, so let's see if we can get the Balkan El Presidente to change his mind. 

It still didn't work, but we will try again because at least we know now that the issue isn't money so maybe we can afford it. (And if we can afford it then I want it).

Sep 2026. 

SuperLeague. It feels like we were playing ok this month but were just really unlucky. We hit the woodwork 4 times this month, had 4 players sent off in 4 different games, & conceded 2 pens. Don't get me wrong, the Prishtina game was a right battering, and the 4 red cards really skewed things because we were in all 4 games when it happened, but it's the nature of the way we play I think and when we have players with such deficiencies it's gonna happen. Frustrating though. The win in the last game of the month, (for the 2nd successive month), just gives me a tiny bit of optimism, but the 2 losses to Drenica, (who I really expected to beat), have cost us hugely. Take 3 points, (never mind about 6), off them and add 3 points onto us and it's a whole different game at teh bottom of the table. 

xG watch. We only won the xG battle once, but most of the time we're at least competitive.

It really feels like the FM Gods are against us. Here's a brief recap of the season so far.

It feels like that, but it really is down to players and tactics at the end of the day. 

I have 2 players who are responsible for 5 of the red cards I think.  I'm basically asking them to do things that they're not capable of doing against this opposition.

Nov 2026. 

SuperLeague. We've shipped a lot of goals this month and that seems to have upset Balkan El Presidente, but we took 3 points and I call that a successful month. 

Kosovan Cup. Who cares.  There will be a time for winning this in the future, (well maybe not if I get sacked), but either way the time is not now. 

Board meeting. I'm astonished based on the pre-season expectations of "fight bravely against relegation", but they seem to be taking issue with us losing heavily to the teams placed.... [checks notes]... 1st and 2nd in the table. What on Earth did they expect to happen? I was half expecting for us to be pumped 4 and 5 pretty regularly. I have a feeling that I will be shown the door pretty soon and that's such a shame because I'm really enjoying it here. 

The rating they give me is a C, Our expectations are exactly what we're doing and.... I think if we don't get some sort of result in our next game, (I don't even know who it's against but I'm betting as we've just played 1st and 2nd it's probably against whoever is 3rd). 

OMG, it's the mid-season break. I'm safe for ages yet. 

Records. It's November, we've only played 16 of 36 league games and we've already set a new record for worst discipline. That tells you everything right there!

Youth Intake preview. Dec 2026. 

Now I really don't want to get sacked, (although it would be good for the storyline).

Job Interview. Dec 2026. 

It was never guaranteed that we would spend the whole save at 1 club, but the way things have gone until recently I certainly couldn't see a reason to leave. With The Balkan El Presidente throwing doubt over my future, (I think it basically rests on the result of the next game which is against Li by the way), the option of a back-up plan seems more than sensible. 

As ever I will be going to the interview and and answering questions with my Youth Only head on. At this stage I don't know what Liria are about. Only that they sit just above us in the league. 

They're a Pro club, but that defensively solid football thingy is gonna be a problem. 

They didn't want to invest in the Junior Coaching so I don't think I'm going to be the right fit for them. (They have a lot of money by the looks of the figures they were talking though). 

I'm honestly surprised that they offered me the job. I don't think I'm a great fit.

D-Day. Feb 2027. 

Our next, (and possibly my last), game is against Drenica, (who we beat to the title last season but who still got promoted via the playoffs). 

They've already beaten us twice this season and if they make it a 3rd time I think I'm done. (I have no idea what happens if it's a draw). 

The board grade me at C-, (I thought that was a low passing grade). 

The fans grade me at a C+.

Oh hang on a minute. I think I know what the problem is. I thought that "attempt to avoid" is the same as "battle bravely against" and it's not the same thing at all. It might be a forgone conclusion, (relegation), but they want us to go down fighting rather than with a whimper. Still seems a bit much though. (Now you see why I like 3 and 4 year contracts). 

We've got a fully fit squad and somehow nobody is suspended. We've just banged in 9 goals in 2 games against the U19's and we're ready for this, (I think). ( really don't want to be sacked. 

Boom! Have that Balkan El Presidente you mug! 

Don't tell anyone, but it was actually really close there at the end. Granit * 6'2" * collected his 6th yellow card of the season in the 90th minute and then managed to be shown a straight red, (his 3rd of the season), for a two-footed tackle on the same player, immediately after the restart. They obviously spanked home the free-kick to make it 3-2 and give us a very nervy injury time, but teh 3 points are ours and Balkan El Presidente can kiss my bumbum. I'm going nowhere! 

I might have to do something about this yellow and red card situation, (but I'm also enjoying it a little too).

SuperLeague. Our rotation strategy pays huge dividends this month as the 1st Team collect 9 points and score 10 goals, while the 2nd team collect 0 points and concede 8 goals.  The problem is, you can't have one without the other. I'm worried now that Balkan El Presidente will call me in for another chat if we get a big defeat.

Discipline. Mar 2027. 

It's getting to the stage now where I'm seriously starting to wonder if our aggression is a help or a hindrance to us. It's important for the tactic, but it's self-defeating if we have to play significant periods of significant games with 10 men and then there is also the number of games that certain players have been suspended for this season. We just can't afford to be without them. In the recent Drenica game, if that red card happens in the 1st half rather than the last minute, then we lose and I'm probably looking for another job. 

Granit * 6'2" * is our 1st choice MLC and he's received 3 red cards, (6 games missed), and also received 6 yellow cards, (1 game missed and half way to another game missed), so in addition to the 3 games where he was sent off in, he's been unavailable for 7 other games. (That's a 10 game impact for him). 

(24c) Sefa WBR * is our 1st choice RWB and he's received 3 red cards (6 games missed), and also received 4 yellow cards (1 game missed), so in addition to the 3 games where he was sent off in, he's also been unavailable for 7 other games. That's a 10 game impact for him. 

That's a 20 game impact for just these 2 players alone and when they're not available it significantly damages the strength of their team. 

I'm going to have to bite the bullet and make a change here. I can't continue like this while the players don't have the physical/mental abilities to carry out the instructions.

Youth Intake day. Mar 2027. 

This intake is ridiculous. If this is half as good as it appears at 1st glance then this is fantastic, (and being a greedy so and so I wonder at what might be coming after another couple of upgrades). 

They all look amazing compared to what we've been used to here, but attitude problems I've been having with 2 (Temp) players and the fact that the changing room don'r seem overly enamoured of me make me determined to cull the players with poor attitudes where I can.

I have managed to release 3 players immediately.

I'm also not overly keen on (27j) Cakaj having 5 (Det), but he's just too good, (in terms of CA), not to sign. I just can't release him.

SuperLeague. We;re conceding lots of goals, but later in this post I will shed some light on that. I think we're progressing really well and our 1st Team can match teams now, (if we keep 11 players on the pitch), but our 2nd XI are a fair way off the pace. The problem is that without rotating the squad and giving the 1st Team that few more days off, they can't live with the opposition. Effectively I'm "throwing" some games to give us a fighting chance in the other games. If I played the 1st Team in every game I don't think we would win any games. 

1st Team Good. 2nd Team Bad.  For much of the season I've been rotating the squad every game. The 1st Team play and then unless they have a full week off the 2nd Team come in for the next game and then the 1st Team come back in after that. 

1st Team. Won v Dukagjini Kline. 
2nd Team. Lost to Llapi in the Cup.
1st Team. Lost to Ballkani. 
1st Team. Won v Drenica.
2nd Team. Lost to Gjilani.
1st Team. Won v Llapi.
2nd Team. Lost to Vushtrria.
1st Team. Won v Liria. 
2nd Team. Lost to Drita.
1st Team. Won v Dukagjini Kline.

The 1st Team have won 7 of the last 8 games they've played in. 
The 2nd Team have lost all 5 of their last 5 games they've played in. 

With the influx if decent CA youngsters from the recent intake I think that will help both the 1st and 2nd Teams

SuperLeague. When I posted the March update, I had basically decided that our 1st Team had really progressed well and we would avoid automatic relegation and we even had a chance of avoiding the Relegation Playoffs. I was wrong. 

Although our 1st Team had indeed improved, the games they had been winning were against tired opposition who were having to play 2 games a week while my lads played 1 game per week, and spent the 2nd game with their feet up watching their mates get played off the park. What I hadn't considered is that when the opposition no longer had to play 2 games per week, the significant advantage I had created would be gone, and we would be competing once again on a level playing field, with the same levels of fitness and fatigue. In these circumstances it was far harder to win games and the result is that we weren't good to do so and have been deservedly relegated. (By the way, getting relegated should be an achievement on steam). 

In truth, we did WAY better this season than I was expecting, but I'm also a little miffed that I couldn't get us to safety from the position we were in at the end of March. 

That;s the way it goes though and you just have to take it on the chin and move on, (or down in our case).

Squad lists. Jun 2027. 

Squad by Appearances. (21) Makolli 6'0" * might have played in every game, but he didn't have a good season, conceding 105 goals in the SuperLeague and 2 more in the Cup. That's a lot of goals to concede. 

Squad by Goals. For the 1st time in this save, (23) Kastrati. * wasn't the top goal-scorer. Instead Sejdiu * beat him by 1 goal. 

Squad by Assists. At 35 years old, Kosumi * is coming to the end of his playing career, but he still put in a good season for us. 

Squad by Avg rating. The man does it again! He might be so rubbish that his CA now has to be measured in silver rather than gold stars, but (23) Kastrati. * was still ranked #2 for both goals and assists.

Squad by CA. You've already seen both (21) Makolli 6'0" * and Sejdiu *, so let's show you (27b) Kapo who recently came through this years intake.

The biggest sale we've made so far was someone leaving on a free but with a friendly added. 

(26n) Gjuzi * has just finished his 1st full season with us. The fee isn't much at all and I don't even know what 30%of next sale might bring us in Kosovo. 

I don't even know what a decent transfer fee is in Kosovo, so let's have a look at the biggest deals that have gone through so far in the save. 

In Sep 2022 Labinot Jashanica, (an Albanian AML), was sold by KF Dukagjini Klinë to Klubi Futbollistik Skënderbeu Korçë for £2,000 (rising to £2,500).

In Dec 2022, Ahmed Januzi was sold from KF Dukagjini Klinë to Al-Bataeh Cultural & Sports Club in UAE for £14,500.

In Jan 2023 Vitor Leite was sold from KF Dukagjini Klinë to Associação Ferroviária de Esportes, (in Brazil), for £22,000 (rising to £24,000).

In Apr 2023 Suad Sahiti was sold from KF Llapi Podujevë to Umm-Salal Sports Club in Qatar for £245,000 (rising to £300,000).

There were then 4 different transfers in excess of £100,000 before the transfer record was beaten again. 

In Oct 2025 Florent Hasani was sold from FC Ballkani to Al-Shamal Sports Club in Qatar for £300,000 (rising to £375,000).

There were then 2 more transfers totaling in excess of £100,000.

That brings us up to date and gives you an idea of what might be possible/likely in the transfer market.

I think I signed 13 from the intake this season, and 10 from the one before, so it's important to keep an eye on the squad size to ensure that we don't become too bloated. There are 67 players currently at the club with just a Senior squad and an U19 squad and that's too many. 25 is a good number for the Senior squad and then anyone on a youth contract who looks like they will be able to impact the Senior squad in the future can fill the U19 squad. 

GK. It's interesting that we don't usually see 2x GK's in an intake and these 2 both being decent has allowed me to release 3 players. 

(21) Makolli 6'0" * is still 1st choice despite conceding 100+ goals last season. 
(27d) Leka might be behind (27j) Cakaj in terms of CA, but I like his personality. 
(27j) Cakaj might have (L.Det) but he's still a 5.0 PA player and I need at least 3 GK's.
(26p) Zürcher. (KOS)(SUI) 6'0" is on a NC and doesn't have 5.0 PA so he's being released. 
(23) Ardit Lamaj. 6'1" is being released. 
(23) Art Rashiti. 6'0" is being released.

DL. This is a good example of a position where culling is important. I was going to keep (26e) & (25d) to play in the U19's as they are still only 17, but all that will do is stop (27e) from getting game time. He's the player with the real future, (whether at DL or centre-half), and he needs to play as much as possible. I need to be harsh if I'm going to keep the numbers down because it appears as if we're going to be producing quite good Youth players. 

(23) Hamra * is 1st choice. 
(23) Murati. 5'8" is 2nd choice. 
(24g) Aziri is 3rd choice, and the reason I think I need a 3rd choice is because (23) Hamra * is 1st choice.  only has 12 months left on his deal and won't extend at this point.
(27e) Metani 5'10" * appears to have the best PA, but he looks more of a centre-half despite only being 5'10".
(26e) Lekaj can stay in the U19's. Released. 
(25d) Bestrova can stay in the U19's. Released.
(23) Kreshpa. * can be released. 
(23) Xhemajli. 6''0" is a centre-half.

MC. We've got 7 players here with decent CA, but one of them, (Kosumi *), is a wide attacker so I will ignore him in this post. 

Granit * 6'2" * has been one of our best players since the start of the save now, but he's 33 now and with 5 different other options in central midfield I think I will use him only from the bench this season in an effort to ease him out, help us close out games in the 2nd half, and also give the youngsters much needed 1st Team exposure. I will just keep him as Sub #9 no matter what happens. Although he has zero experience playing there, I also wonder about playing him as our Libero, (especially when I rotate the squad). 
(27b) Kapo looks quite frankly amazing. 
(26n) Gjuzi * is equally as good and I can't wait to see how these two develop over the next couple of seasons. 
(27a) Redzepi MC is actually a WBR but I have decided that he's most suited to MC. The problem with that as you can see is that he's in an area where we have quite a bit of quality and I think his game time will suffer as a result. I'm actually going to rename him (27a) Redzepi DC 5'10" and play him as our 1st choice Libero. He'e a little short but has heading of 17!!!
(23) Buxhelaj * played 11(18) games last season, but his training was poor and I was sick to death with him and his (Temp) personality. I see he's "popped" to (Bal) now rather than (Temp), so we will see how that goes. 
(27k) Rushiti DC 5'10" is another option here but I think he has potential as a centre-half, (our problem position). If we get some good DC's coming through and he becomes surplus to requirements there, then he will at least have benefitted from 1st team exposure there for a short period. There are of course 3x DC slots available compared to 2 at MC so this makes sense. The 2x MC's I'm moving to centre-half will immediately become our best DC's and that still leaves us with 3 good young MC's and 1 good experienced MC on the bench competing for 2 starting spots. 
(27c) Ramaj can stay in the U19's.
(26l) Antonsen (KOS)(NOR) can stay in the U19's.
(27i) Marku can stay in the U19's.
(26g) Rexhepi can stay in the U19's.
