Makoto Nakamura
Similar premise to my Tongue save except I've switched 8th tier Westside & 10th tier Dingwall Vics so that I can start in the bottom Highland league with a club based in the Western Isles, and Barvas, where we're located has the highest percentage of Gaelic speakers in Scotland so we'll be going youth only to try and keep that going! I have also reduced Westsides' reputation from 75 to 50 to match the other teams in the league and lowered all of their facilities to 1 so that we're really going to start from the bottom. I'll sign any grey players so we can keep having a full squad until that first intake, and two of our four best players are in positions I don't use!
Makoto Nakamura
2023/24 Pre-Season Can't say much better than that really, goals galore! Predicted in 5th and the board expect top three, I'm in no rush for promotion, I'll enjoy being back in the lower leagues!
phnompenhandy
Oh, a fellow restarter! Were you finding the last one too easy so decided to go with more restrictions? I'm ba**s-deep in the editor preparing for a new save, adding Ireland and Wales to this Scottish db. I'll be starting in the 13th tier again as well, probably with Shetland. Limiting yourself to Gaelic speakers is genius! Best of luck with that Edited December 26, 2023 by phnompenhandy

It wasn't that I was finding it too easy, it was that I actually wouldn't be able to progress anymore. The players at better clubs wouldn't join us on loan and I'd reached the best players I could get from clubs beneath us so it would have been relying on youth, of which I didn't get any. I wouldn't say I'm limiting myself to Gaelic speakers because I'm now going fully youth only so no signing players from Ness, Stornoway, Tarbert or Tong but I will be signing players from off the island that come through the academy. I look forward to your new save!
Makoto Nakamura
August 2023 On the field it's been a perfect start as we go through in two cups, off the field is a different story though! As we have now lost four players. Which means we're now rank outsiders!
Makoto Nakamura
September 2023 Our first loss of the season at home to 2nd placed Avoch whilst my old side aren't doing too badly in 3rd either! We lose another before the end of the window which means the squad now looks like this:
Makoto Nakamura
October 2023 What a month! We're still in all three cup and we didn't concede a single goal in the league which sees us now nine points inside the promotion spots!
Makoto Nakamura
November 2023 Actually perfect this time and we're still in all the cups!
Makoto Nakamura
December 2023 We've dropped points in back-to-back games! I see no need to worry just yet though! No A rated players in the first season isn't great.
Makoto Nakamura
January 2024 Another win in the league with two late wins in cups, there was no need to worry! We lose our HoYD. We also lose our starting DM, our captain.
Makoto Nakamura
February 2024 £10,000 doesn't put us back into the black, but it certainly helps as we win our first silverware of the save in the Highland Amateur Cup! We managed to put four past North Caley side St. Duthus as well so we can be proud of that whilst we've also managed to seal ourselves a nice looking promotion already as well! Makoto Nakamura
2023/24 Youth Candidates Five 4* players coming through! Although this really shows the level that we're at!
Makoto Nakamura
March 2024 A new biggest win over St Patricks FP and we've won the league! Doing just as well as we did at Tongue!
Makoto Nakamura
2023/24 End of Season Review So we finish as league winners with 54 points, Highland Amateur Cup Winners, Scottish Amateur Cup Semi Finalists & Jock Mackay Cup Quarter Finalists, two points better off than with Tongue United where I was actually signing players, make it make sense! 2023/24 Best XI Scott Stainke Alberto Luglio - Steven Finnis - Martin Tawse Joseph Brooks - Jamie Hamilton - John Maxwell - Bob Robson David Harkiss - Edwin Hake - James Barbour
Makoto Nakamura
2024/25 Pre-Season A mixed pre-season, not the greatest but we were away from home. Thankfully we just need to avoid the drop and we're predicted best of the promoted sides. Glory hunters. And we say goodbye to six players so far.
Makoto Nakamura
August 2024 A perfect first game in the league whilst after our cup heroics of last season we then bow out at the first hurdle in two cups this season, including the cup we won last season.
Makoto Nakamura
September 2024 We win a cup math! And the best month possible in the league with three wins without conceding a single goal!
Makoto Nakamura
October 2024 We drop points which is almost a pleasant change and despite scoring eight goals more than the next top scoring team we have no players in the top three goalscorers.
Makoto Nakamura
November 2024 I have no clue how we're doing so well! And now we've got two of the three top scorers in the league as well!
Makoto Nakamura
December 2024 Goals galore and dropped points but no need to stress, we're ten clear at the top of the table and already miles ahead of Avoch in 4th place! An excellent intake coming although still no A rated players.
Makoto Nakamura
January 2025 First match of the month is a 6-0 win against the then second placed side Invergordon! We're now 15 points clear. The title beckons.
Makoto Nakamura
February 2025 A very unlucky loss to bottom side Melvich but it really doesn't matter as we've been promoted as champions in mid-February!
Makoto Nakamura
2024/25 Youth Candidates We have absolutely minimal facilities, the worst possible, and yet we have an intake with four 5* CA players, that says an awful lot about our squad!
Makoto Nakamura
March 2025 Andy Reynolds' penalties giving us four points instead of the potential zero.
Makoto Nakamura
2024/25 End of Season Review Two 2-0 wins to finish the season, perfect! And with this good youth intake the team wants a top half finish next season which is possible, since Portree Utd who finished 3rd and won promotion last season have now won the division above as well whilst Sleat & Strath and Melvich suffer back-to-back relegations. Overall Best XI 2024/25 Best XI Darren Farquhar (YP1e) Owen Beeston (YP1c) - James O'Donoghue (YP1n) - Brian Laing (YP1o) Joseph Brooks - John Maxwell - Neil Robertson (YP1b) - Bob Robson Edwin Hake - David Harkiss - David Gilchrist
Makoto Nakamura
2025/26 Pre-Season Three very good away wins, lovely stuff! I guess that intake was pretty good considering that we're predicted right up in 5th as a newly promoted side! Not that we have the money anyway but at this point I might as well see how far we can get without improving the facilities at all.
Makoto Nakamura
August 2025 Through in two cups! Already better than last season! And we also don't have an early lead in the league. We have now got a new Highland Amateur Cup record, since we went out on penalties last season it was technically a draw, so we are yet to 'lose'. Gerry was a backup goalkeeper, no biggie, we still have two.
Makoto Nakamura
September 2025 Great showing from both Davids this month as we jump up to second and go through in the Scottish Amateur Cup!
Makoto Nakamura
October 2025 A whopping nine games this month has seen us exit the first cup of the season as we pick up a few injuries but it's yet to affect us too much as we still sit top of the table!
Makoto Nakamura
November 2025 Dropping even more points and out of the Scottish Amateur Cup but no need for the panic stations yet as we're still top of the table, unbeaten and seven points inside the promotion zone!
Makoto Nakamura
December 2025 We're still getting the niggling injuries but they're really not damaging us at all as we now sit 14 points inside the promotion spots and still unbeaten with a goal difference twice as good as the next best club! Another excellent intake but a 3rd one with no A rated players.
Makoto Nakamura
January 2026 North West Skye easily knock us out of the Highland Amateur Cup but we are still unbeaten in the league and move 13 points clear! Amazing stuff!
Makoto Nakamura
David scored 50 in 91 appearances for us and even stays in our league at Glenelg.
Makoto Nakamura
February 2026 As it turns out we didn't miss David too much with two more wins. Seven games left and we're 21 points inside the promotion zone, we could lose every single game now and still get promoted.

Makoto Nakamura
2025/26 End of Season Review I really didn't think we'd hold on, especially with us being against 4th placed Kyleakin & 2nd placed CSK Highfield in the final two games of the season, but I needn't have worried as we're promoted to the top tier of Highland amateur football following an undefeated league campaign! Overall Best XI 2025/26 Best XI Darren Farquhar (YP1e) Cameron Mainland (YP2c) - Owen Beeston (YP1c) - Brian Laing (YP1o) Andy Reynolds - John Maxwell - Neil Robertson (YP1b) - Bob Robson Edwin Hake - Allan Cameron (YP2d) - David Harkiss
Makoto Nakamura
2026/27 Pre-Season Perfect pre-season. Both the board and the media expect us to finish top half, so that's the aim!

Makoto Nakamura
November 2026 Edwins' hit a dry patch and we lose two league games this month that keeps Bonar Bridge hot on our tail and keeping things interesting!
Makoto Nakamura
December 2026 We destroyed 5th placed Kirkwall Rovers before completely dropping the ball against Stornoway Athletic in 7th place but we're still a point ahead of Bonar Bridge and their goal difference of -2 where we also now have a game in hand. We have an A rated player! Unfortunately it's a winger which means he'll need re-training to either wingback or striker. Makoto Nakamura
January 2027 Back-to-back losses in the league? What are we trying to do, make things exciting?! We're now just six points ahead of 8th placed Bonar Bridge!

Makoto Nakamura
March 2027 Our form has returned! Makoto Nakamura
2026/27 End of Season Review And there we have it, the Highland Amateur League has been completed and like North West Skye & Dingwall before us, we managed to scrape through the playoff final and win promotion to the North Caledonian League for next season!
